    Great Single Player Experience

The single player portion of this game is great! It has a ton of interactions with the NPC's and Rockstar did a great job at making those interactions fresh. As for the multi player it has a lot to be desired.... There isnt a ton of things to do and it seems a bit stale, but GTA Online was horrible when it first released in 2013, and with all the updates it turned out to be one of the best multiplayer experience in console history. (In my opinion) It just seems that Red Dead will struggle to reach that echelon as it will be a bit more difficult to add to this game with the time period it represents. I did give this a 5 star rating despite the flaws of the multiplayer, because of how well done the single player is, and in my opinion this game should be played with that in mind.

A sequel to the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption, this game is even bigger than the original. A prequel to the original, this game pulls no punches and will be talked about in gaming circles for years to come. 5/5

Fun Game Only After A Very Long Opening

First off the Negatives: This game does not play like classic Rockstar games (GTA V). The game is very drawn out and everything you seems to take forever to complete. When you ride to town or to a mission location on your horse, it may take 10-15 of sitting there doing nothing but watching the screen. (Boring) Not everything is explained in the game and Fast Travel is not opened up until you upgrade your camp. The Controls are very clunky and some options are hidden in your pop up wheel and take up to 3 button holds to open up something. Looting a body takes 3 seconds at least, not terrible but when you have to go through 20 dead bodies, it seems forever. All the other aspects of the game (hunting, fishing, upgrades, and mini-games) seem added on and are not really necessary to complete the game. Another thing I didn't care for was that you have to maintain your personal hygiene (shave & bathe), clean your guns, and care for your horse (brush and wash it). This game feels like a cowboy simulator at times. The Positives: Beautiful graphics. Interaction between npc's is usually fun (hold down L2 on PS4) to interact. The missions are the usual Rockstar variety. Exploring caves for hidden gold bars was fun. Deadeye remains in the game and is always a pleasure to mow down enemies. Overall: This is a fun game but will test your patience. It's pace is very slow and some may not like that. Chapter 1 of 6 is about an hour and a half long and is the most boring intro to any video game I have ever played. If you can get past Chapter 1 the game really establishes itself and the fun begins. 8/10

After generating incredible hype, RDR2 definitely delivers. The prequel to the first Red Dead Redemption is a mountain of a game, offering many, many hours of fun, story-rich gameplay. It’s important to note that RDR2 can’t be rushed through; to truly appreciate what it has to offer, you must be willing to take your time with the game. It isn’t constant action, and as a matter of fact, there are long dialogue and travel scenes. Also, if you have never been a fan of Rockstar’s games and their “weighty” controls, you may not be able to get into RDR2. Unsurprisingly, the game is absolutely gorgeous, and the writing and voice acting are better than a lot of western films. RDR2 isn’t for everyone, but for those who do enjoy it, it’s one of the greatest games this generation.

Red Dead Redemption 2: An awe-inspiring open-world masterpiece that immerses you in the heart of the Wild West. Its gripping narrative, breathtaking visuals, and attention to detail transport players to a bygone era. Whether I'm exploring the vast landscapes or engaging in intense shootouts, RDR2 delivers an unparalleled gaming experience that's nothing short of epic.

Think of Grand Theft Auto but in the Wild West. Same concepts, do missions or roam the land causing trouble. The story line is great along with the gameplay. There's alot of little details in the game to look out for and you'll probably spend alot of time hunting for pelts/skins. Some good changes is the way the "Wanted" mechanic works. A different method of punishment for causing trouble in town. If you cause trouble the Sheriff will hunt you down, When you manage to flee, a bounty is placed on your head. The difference here is that you can return to town and not get shot at by the sheriff. However every now and then, wherever you're at, bounty hunters will come after you. In order to remove it, you need to pay a large sum of money to have it go away.

Rockstar Games went above and beyond expectations.... Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece. The Good: - Visually Stunning - Great character development - Large immersive open world - Amazing Soundtrack - Fun missions (Train Heist) - As Arthur Morgan you literally feel like you're part of the story... The Bad - Controls can be clunky. - No 2 player Offline. - Few days learning curve give it some time though! The Ugly - The stakes are high, you do bad and your character will suffer. Your horse dies and it's permanent. Honestly anything bad I have to say comes from just nitpicks. I really enjoyed this game. As a casual gamer, I can't really imagine going back to a game that isn't made by Rockstar at this point. Simply astonishing....

    Game of the year

This game is hands down game of the year. So much you can do. Such a huge map. NPC's with thousands of reactions. I haven't played a game this religously in literally years. You could spend hours roaming the mountainside, fishing, hunting, doing missions...pretty much anything. This is the first time in years a game has actually given me chills while I'm playing it. When riding your horse and you hear someone scream in your headphones you make the decision to go help them and risk being robbed or change your good/evil meter back to good. The more good deeds it changes the way the storyline goes, the more bad does the same. It's pretty crazy. This game does deserve the M rating it gets however so don't go buying it for your kiddo thinking its just a cowboy game.

Rockstar does not disappoint with their story telling! Combat can be a little repetitive and some of the challenges are difficult to do, but there is so much depth here you could spend hours just exploring. Great game!

If you liked Grand Theft Auto V, you’ll love this game. This game is basically Grand Theft Auto in the old West. Lovers of the show Deadwood and the old Clint Eastwood movies like the spaghetti westerns will not be able to stop playing this game. It puts you in control of the old west. With very similar controls as GTA V, get ready to spend hours playing it. You will take on missions to help yourself and other characters in the game, meeting new people and accomplishing tasks. This is one of the most addictive games I have ever played. Rockstar spent eight years making it, and if you ask me, it paid off.

At first I didn't care for the game that much in the first few chapters but it picks up and I ending up really enjoying it. Some of the mechanics are a bit annoying but you'll get used to them.
