It's amazing how frequently content (gaming, movies, etc.) can be over-hyped to the point that once you consume it, it just doesn't hold up to the hype; RDII lives up to hype generated during the long awaited release. Is it perfect? No, but any of us can find flaws in even the most scrutinized content or product before release. The real question is whether those items detract from the overall experience or fail to impart new experiences or a depth of knowledge that gives more meaning. That doesn't exist here. It can be slow at times and there are some pieces that you must commit to but those requirements bring a greater amount of depth and realism to the experience. It's well balanced and worth it in my opinion.

This game is a masterpiece as stated by IGN review. Try it on PS4 Pro with a 4k TV and it is simply amazing to watch. Roam around, enjoy the landscape, hunt/fish, kill or be killed. Rockstar killed it with this one. Highly recommended if you play video games

I’m by no means a hardcore gamer but can handle my own in most games. I played the old 90 games of doom, quake etc. It’s been 20 years since I played any first person shooter game. The game was longer than any other one I’ve played. I was able to complete all the missions except one. The one where Arthur and Bill stole the dynamite. I tried over 10x but I would either die or the wagon would blow up. I either didn’t have the right weapon or didn’t know how to beat the mission. I just gave up and skipped the checkpoint. Another than that, this will go down as one of my favorite games.

Beautiful & fun. Installation is bit longer then I would have excepted. Approx 2 hours require. (2x bluray discs). Plus takes up a huge portion out of the PS4 hard drive. But is worth it.

If you have not played this game don't think twice about it just get it asap

I've never really given much attention to westerns, and I can understand why this game may not be for everyone. However, after seeing trailers, it got my attention. I figured I'd give it a try. I'm not very far into the game, but I am absolutely enjoying it so far. I can see where some people may say this is slow, and I feel the controls need a little getting used to. The style of this game I think are for certain people and not everyone. But I love it, the story, side missions, seeing the western lifestyle. The game is beautiful.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a stunning open-world masterpiece that immerses players in the Wild West like never before. The attention to detail in the world, characters, and story is simply exceptional. The game offers a rich narrative, compelling characters, and breathtaking visuals. However, the slow-paced gameplay and occasional technical hiccups prevent it from achieving a perfect rating. Nonetheless, it's a must-play for any fan of the genre.

This game was awesome, so many hours worth of content

I have not been able to stop playing this game since I got it. Well I do stop but I haven't played anything else. I had just started playing Assassins Creed Odyssey and I haven't picked it back up since getting this. This game is HUGE!!! There is so much to do and I haven't even scratched the surface. The graphics are outstanding. It doesn't explain quite a few things so you have to dig around to figure out how to do some features. Overall its a great game. I'm just sorry I never played the first one.

What else can i say that other reviewers haven't already, this game is what you expect to come out of Rockstar games. The new character Arthur is a very relate-able and believable character that as you play the story it will have you completely immersed in his life. The graphics of this game are just incredible, from the forests and the swamps you visit, to the life like cities of the industrialized cities. You will want to just ride on your horse just staring at the amazing views!

Great game, online is fun. Still playing years later.

This is a great game if you love to do anything in the open lots of adventure and twist lines you control whatever destiny you choose. Love this game.

What a masterpiece it has been i have played this game extensively for the last 6 years and have enjoyed every second.

The original RDD is one of greatest games ever, in my opinion. John Marsten was a tremendous character and Rockstar made an amazing game. RDD2 doesn’t disappoint and is simply stunning. The graphics, character development, free style play, missions and overall quality are tremendous. I purchased a PS4 for the sole purpose of being able to buy this game.. it’s absolutely great.

I cannot find the words to describe how much I love this game. Beautiful open world, incredible story, great characters, well over 100 hours of content. One of those magical gaming experiences that come only so often
