While the original had been one of my favorite games of all time, I hadn't gotten around to picking up the new one. I'd figure now was a good time to pick up the new one. Wow! The graphics are breathtaking, the world expansive and the story line is almost cinematic. Actually, far as I'm concerned, this game's plot is probably better than ones found of many movies I've seen over the years. Only downside is that this game is so addicting. It's so easy to lose track of time, and it's morning before you know it! Imagine a new version for the PS5?!

Slow burn but still a fantastic game. With the PS5 update it looks even better and runs smoother.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an interesting title. In some ways, it honestly feels more like a simulation than an actual game. If you're expecting an action-packed cowboy adventure, you may not get what you're looking for here. If you want to spend 60-100 hours just living life in the old west while trying to survive with your gang, go for it!

RDR2 is worth all the hype. It’s immersive and almost impossible to stop playing. The graphics, characters, and voice acting blows my mind. I admit the controls could be easier, but this game reminds me of westworld. Every NPC seems to have a story and you have the freedom to do whatever you wish or follow any story you find intriguing. It’s very immersive and well thought out. Definitely worth $50-$60 as the game is massive and the main story alone takes about 60 hours to compete. But with as much additional things you can do on your own and additional stories or side quests you can follow, the gameplay is endless.

I really do love this game. So much to do in addition to the main storyline. Then there is the multiplayer aspect which expands on the single player. GTA in the wild west.

Great game! Gets a little boring halfway through but I find the game rather relaxing/soothing to play. This game does not cut corners. When you skin a deer, you skin a deer! You cook the food,, you eat the food.. Mechanics and graphics are excellent. You can also change the lighting of the game from either standard (bright/vibrant) or HDR in Cinema mode which is actually more mutted color range. I purchased this game for 20$ during black friday and still pick up the game here and there just to go hunting .

Best video game ever for regular gamer, This game is not recommended for new gamer or very young gamer, because it requires a lot of knowledge to work through game format

Had this game pre-ordered for almost a year. Loved playing RDR. RDR2 is a pretty awesome game and worth the money paid for sure. Only thing I'm not too pleased with is the numerous items in several categories. One in particular that I'm not a fan of is all the tonics. Way too many kinds for both the player and the horse and just makes it difficult and time consuming to select or figure out what to select based on your need. Perhaps after playing for several hours, which this game has a lot to do, it won't be such a big deal, but starting out it's kind of over kill for no apparent added benefit to playing the game.

This is a sequel worthy of having. It's so much bigger than the original. You can do so much more. You can even dress your character how you want. Excellent game!

Metacritic has this rated at #1 on the ps4 console. The user score is slightly lower at 8.5. I believe the user score is number because a lot of gamers who voted did not have the patience to learn the controls which can be a learning curve during the first playthrough. The game is long and does enough to keep you entertained throughout with the storyline, quests, and more. If you like RPG's, are patient, and enjoy games that are immersive, then this game is right for you.

I do think Red Ded Redemption is a better GAME. But it has some clunky bits. But this game keeps and adds a lot that makes it its own thing. I think this is a must have game and it really hits the STORY a beats a bit better. I do think some of the basic formula of this game gets a bit repetitive and the ONLINE is fun but also rife with micro trans. But the story is just very compelling that I do think its worth playing just to experience it.

Brough this on sale for 19.99 I have not play it yet, I will make the time to play. I have seen a lot of review that compare to GTA 5.

Great game just like GTA 5 but riding horses and shooting rifles, old western style shootouts!

This is probably the most fun Red Dead I've ever played next to the Undead Nightmare.

From graphics to story, RE2 is an amazing installment to the Red Dead Redemption series. The game is before the events of the first Red Dead Redemption game and the story is amazing. It has a slow build to excitement and keeps you hooked until the end. The controllers are a bit tough for some to get use to, myself included. I find Rockstar decided to utilize the Grand Theft Auto controller engine, which some may not be a fan of at first. But once you continue to get into the game, it becomes second nature and the game is amazing.

Geat game with an amazing story. Graphics are beautiful and there is great dynamic to the story. Its funny because i only bought the game because it went on discount and it was a rockstar game. I didnt know if i was going to like a story of outlaws in the new american frontier, but i was surprised to have enjoyed it as much as i did. I would definitely recommend it to really anyone.

I've been a big fan of western media for awhile, and I loved the game that came before this. I happened to catch this game on sale, so there wasn't even a minute to think about whether or not I should buy it. The game is huge, and there's plenty to do, and of course it's full of gun-slinging action, so I couldn't be happier.

I’m a gta 5 type guy so I decided to buy this to try it out. I installed it and played through the introduction and wasn’t quite sure what I was supposed to do next or just decided to play it later. I got it on Black Friday so I feel like I got a deal I’ll play it eventually.

This was a gift for my son. He has not stopped playing it since Christmas morning so I guess it was a hit. This is the one PS game that you cannot get in PC format.

I'm only a couple of hours in, but there is so much to do. Hunting animals, playing poker, robbing stores, helping people, fishing, etc. Overall just a blast to play.
