I love Rockstar games. Most of the time their titles are well polished masterpieces! That said, RDR2 is too much of one. The game is fun and has a LOT to do. But what it tries to grasp for in realism, it loses in flow. Before you know it 5 hours passes by and all you did was hunt and play poker. I wish it would have found ways to improve the flow of gameplay. That and online is still a cash grab which is why i gave this game 3 stars. Tbh...wait for a sale!

Not for kids. But no fun game is. This game will keep you playing for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours, until you've realised you've realized that you wasted all your time. It's that good.

Rockstar set out to make a groundbreaking game, but they ended up making one of the best movies of the year instead. The control scheme is a disaster, with the main character, Arthur, subjected to some of the slowest, most plodding, unimaginably badly designed controller issues I've ever dealt with: Molasses-slow walking speed in the main camp. Having to hammer down on the run button over and over and over if you want to run faster or ride your horse harder. Having to press several buttons unintuitively just to get to basic things like the map or the save menu. I could go on and on, but my fingers are too tired to type after having to hold down three or four buttons SIMULTANEOUSLY on my PS4 controller just to have Arthur eat some canned peaches to replenish his heath. Or his stamina. Or his health "core", but not his depleted health. Or his-- I don't really know. It's not explained well. Nothing is. No instruction manual and terrible tutorials aren't helping. But I really think the game is beyond help at this point. I played through everything I could, and there's bugs, glitches, boring gameplay that repeats and repeats. It's a sign that Rockstar is now making games for the post-game online cash, no longer making the legendary titles like RDR1 or the earlier GTA games. Do yourself a favor then. Don't be a part of this trend. Ignore the game. Maybe that'll give us some redemption after all.

I give the game 5 stars for the graphics and story line. But even with that, for me this game was too long and tedious. I would had liked a bit more action.

There are definite issues with pacing, controls, and mechanics, but Rockstar has once again made a huge, living, beautiful world with well-written characters

Got this for $15 on Black Friday. Absolutely worth it. Be warned, it WILL use 111 gigabytes on your console.

Hasn't captured my attention like the first Red Dead Redemption, but still an excellent and overall fun game with a ton of things to do in this open world.

Lots of fun so far. In depth story. Lots of role playing elements. Almost too much to do. Haven’t played online yet. It’s like a whole separate game.

Honestly I wasn’t a big fan of Red Dead. The game was great but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. It had a good story, great graphics, and a lot of gameplay.

Beet rich game play in the story mode. Sure to bring lots of good times. The online however is very frustrating and hopefully will get positive updates.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an amazing game. It is extremely realistic which can be sort of annoying, but the attention to detail on this game is incredible.

While I don't think it's the best game ever, I feel like I've gotten my money's worth. The online portion has been a bit of a let down but I'm sure little by little Rock Star will add to it and make it more fun. One thing that has been a big disappointment is that I have not received any of the perks for pre-ordering it; neither the pre-order bonuses nor the free gold bars.

this game is good but you just get overwhelmed with so much you can do. It takes forever to get across the map and just a very time consuming game.

So slow a game, never really got into it base the initial few scenarios. I'm an older gamer so maybe my standards are different. I'm looking for a quick entertainment with a moderate level of difficulty. This was slow and plodding intro. Sold it.

In an effort to be realistic, Rockstar lost sight of what makes games fun. Sure, it's cool to talk about horse testicles, and how the characters beard grows, how clouds go about in the sky.....but it does get boring if you're doing it for 60+ hours. The GTA formula is getting old as well - the control of aim is still AWFUL, and the limitations on how to do missions is stricter than ever. It's a step back from Red Dead Redemption (the original).

The graphics are amazing. Game play is good. Only downside is it is not always easy to find the missions. Have to refer to the web for directions.
