The game starts out very slow. It shows you the ropes on how to play the game, but it takes forever. I have played the game for about 22-24 hours and am no where being done. I think it said I was around 10% complete. I am having a hard time continuing to play because of the slowness to the game. I have gone back to playing the new assassin creed game. It moves faster and is holding my attention. I am almost 40 and still enjoy these types of games, but they need to pick up the pace.

A really beautiful game and story, held back a lot by it's clunky gameplay and bad mission design

This game is one of the best storyline I've played in the last 5 years. You follow the story of Arthur Morgan and his personal experiences with his outlaw family. What makes this game unique is that Arthur provides his own opinion of how each mission pans out and gives the player insight on contemplating whether certain morality choices are justified. The storyline is easily 60 hours just on it's own without side quests/activities. The amount of content in this game is superb. The visuals are STUNNING. I use a Samsung 4K TV and the HDR effect in the game is very smooth and feels very realistic. I paid $60 for this game and did not regret paying that amount because I logged more than 60 hours just in single player. For the multiplayer aspect, the economy at the time I played 2 months ago was rough because everything cost so much. It may have changed by now.

Red Dead Redemption was maybe my favorite game of the last generation, and this one expands on it in nearly every way. Not just the story of this gang before the events of Redemption 1, but also on the world and the gameplay mechanics. Any time I lose track of time playing a game, that's the sign of how much I enjoy it. I've only gotten up to Chapter 3 so far, but the main missions I felt have been done really well and feel epic, while all of the side stuff (helping out your gang, chance encounters, side activities) have been a lot of fun. I suspect this will be the only game I need to play for the next couple of months, provided I don't get through it quickly with late night play sessions.

RDR 2 is one of the best games I have ever played. It blends a great open world environment without the trappings of the handholding that you get from most other "open world" games. It is truly a measure in video game freedom, and is highly commendable.

My son has wanted this game for a couple of years now. So I finally got it for him. He is older and has his own room now. He loves it. It is a good game I have watched him play. It’s like watching a movie.

One of the best games for someone like myself who enjoys open world, cowboy aesthetics, some times slow paced and some times fast paced. Youll get lost in the world, and the story is a wild ride. Playing my ps4 copy on ps5, it's quite and upgraded experience and assisting with immersion in to the world. Highly recommended game in my book. Bestbuy has this game for the right price, very happy with my purchase.

This is an awesome game to say the least. I did not play the other editions before this one but after playing it I will purchase the others to better understand the story lines. The maps and missions are fun and entertaining.

great game overall. it has a few bugs but for a game filled with so many coding mechanics, you can't expect everything to be perfect (and they can always release patches). i never thought i would ever want to live in the old west.. but here i am.

Get this game! The amount of depth and details with the characters and the world is insane. Regardless of whether you played the first game this one is still a must play. Definitely game of the year worthy

Bought this for my son for Christmas. I don’t know much about gaming, but he seems to like it a lot. Sorry I can’t give you more firsthand knowledge about it, but all I can tell you is my teenage son definitely likes it and enjoys playing it.

It took seemingly forever for this game to be released, but it was absolutely worth the wait! The graphics and gameplay are everything you’d want in a FPS. It’s actually like watching a movie; in fact, I checked out one of the online gamers on YouTube for a hint, and ended up watching the entire game online. This game is just that spectacular and captivating. Even my wife found it fun to watch. This is one of those games that you keep saying, ‘I’ll do one more mission, then I’ll go to bed’, and before you know it, the sun is coming up. I can’t go into all the particulars, as others have done, because this game is just so immense and so well done, it would take a longer review than you’d care to read. As good as Red Dead Redemption was for the PS3, this version blows it out of the water.

The first Red Dead Redemption was one of my favorite games on the previous generation of consoles, so I had high anticipation for this one. And while it doesn’t capture the same magic of the first, Red Dead Redemption II is an amazing game in its own right. The game starts slow, too slow, but once the story and map open up, it’s as focused or deliberate as the player wants. I chose to play through tackling most of the side missions, which are generally worthwhile. Meanwhile, the main missions are compelling, often with impressive set-pieces and score/musical cues. And it’s not spoiling anything to say the epilogue was my favorite part of the game. The controls can be frustrating (such as when trying to pick up or interact with a small object), but the game as a whole is a rousing, if not methodical, success.

I admit that I was leery of buying this one and I have never played the first one but the price I got lured me in. I have spent many hors on many days playing this as it is so addictive. Obviously this is not one for little kids but it is a great game. It fells like I constantly get message about new content and special missions. You spend a lot of time exploring and need to gather as many items as possible to finish collections and more. Choose what weapons you carry carefully based on what you are going out to do. If you don't like all the blood you can change what you get in the settings. I really enjoy this game and lose myself in it.

It's Red Dead Redemption 2. What else is there to say other than this is one of the Top 5 video games ever made?
