Top ten of the year!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rockstar games is an amazing studio. They can do no wrong. The level of immersion and the fun that they inject into their games is unbelievable. They take their game and it pays off. Amazing game.

One of the best games I've ever played
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent story and overall execution from Rockstar. Engaging, beautiful setting, excellent performance. The only knock would be some graphical setting choices that Rockstar chose in the final product. The Anti Aliasing has some issues.

RDR 2
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Red Dead Redemption II is one of the most impressive games I’ve most likely ever played. Everything is so individually crafted, and you’ll notice so many tiny details. The story is great, and you will grow attached to these characters. It took me well over 75 hours to complete this game, but that is because I got caught up doing so many little, amazing things in this world that side tracked me from the story. Overall the pacing could have been better, but you won't find a more immersive game than RDR 2.

Arthur Morgan is the Best Protagonist in Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I admire the first "Red Dead Redemption" and had my fair share of playing the game to death, "Red Dead Redemption II" is one of the best western stories to date. I love western movies, so the slow pace of this game didn't bother me at all at the start. As for the controversial Guarma level in the game, I enjoyed it because it was refreshing and interesting. While you can have your fun blowing up people and robbing banks, I suggest you remain a good guy throughout the campaign because it's the best way to enjoy an emotional campaign. If you like to lasso people off horses and throw people to gators, go right ahead. However, I have to warn you that you will not be emotionally impacted by the game as much if you are trying to be a psychopath. Like I stated, Arthur Morgan is by far the best protagonist in gaming, the graphics are awe-inspiring, and it will touch gamer's hearts if they stick it through the slow build-up. The only complaints I have with the game is that the shooting may feel stiff and outdated and the honor system. It takes forever to build up your honor and if you shoot a person on accident, it goes back down quite a bit. Also, walking on the top of trains while they are moving might get frustrating (I fell off a few times due to the controls; a problem that wasn't improved since the first game). I love the world, the characters, the well-written narrative, the ending, the action, and I could keep going on and on. While there are a few things holding it back, the experience I had with this game will not go away for quite some time.

Great Single Player Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The single player portion of this game is great! It has a ton of interactions with the NPC's and Rockstar did a great job at making those interactions fresh. As for the multi player it has a lot to be desired.... There isnt a ton of things to do and it seems a bit stale, but GTA Online was horrible when it first released in 2013, and with all the updates it turned out to be one of the best multiplayer experience in console history. (In my opinion) It just seems that Red Dead will struggle to reach that echelon as it will be a bit more difficult to add to this game with the time period it represents. I did give this a 5 star rating despite the flaws of the multiplayer, because of how well done the single player is, and in my opinion this game should be played with that in mind.

Rockstar does it again!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A sequel to the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption, this game is even bigger than the original. A prequel to the original, this game pulls no punches and will be talked about in gaming circles for years to come. 5/5

Fun Game Only After A Very Long Opening
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off the Negatives: This game does not play like classic Rockstar games (GTA V). The game is very drawn out and everything you seems to take forever to complete. When you ride to town or to a mission location on your horse, it may take 10-15 of sitting there doing nothing but watching the screen. (Boring) Not everything is explained in the game and Fast Travel is not opened up until you upgrade your camp. The Controls are very clunky and some options are hidden in your pop up wheel and take up to 3 button holds to open up something. Looting a body takes 3 seconds at least, not terrible but when you have to go through 20 dead bodies, it seems forever. All the other aspects of the game (hunting, fishing, upgrades, and mini-games) seem added on and are not really necessary to complete the game. Another thing I didn't care for was that you have to maintain your personal hygiene (shave & bathe), clean your guns, and care for your horse (brush and wash it). This game feels like a cowboy simulator at times. The Positives: Beautiful graphics. Interaction between npc's is usually fun (hold down L2 on PS4) to interact. The missions are the usual Rockstar variety. Exploring caves for hidden gold bars was fun. Deadeye remains in the game and is always a pleasure to mow down enemies. Overall: This is a fun game but will test your patience. It's pace is very slow and some may not like that. Chapter 1 of 6 is about an hour and a half long and is the most boring intro to any video game I have ever played. If you can get past Chapter 1 the game really establishes itself and the fun begins. 8/10

A Classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After generating incredible hype, RDR2 definitely delivers. The prequel to the first Red Dead Redemption is a mountain of a game, offering many, many hours of fun, story-rich gameplay. It’s important to note that RDR2 can’t be rushed through; to truly appreciate what it has to offer, you must be willing to take your time with the game. It isn’t constant action, and as a matter of fact, there are long dialogue and travel scenes. Also, if you have never been a fan of Rockstar’s games and their “weighty” controls, you may not be able to get into RDR2. Unsurprisingly, the game is absolutely gorgeous, and the writing and voice acting are better than a lot of western films. RDR2 isn’t for everyone, but for those who do enjoy it, it’s one of the greatest games this generation.

Similar to GTA but on horses and hunting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Think of Grand Theft Auto but in the Wild West. Same concepts, do missions or roam the land causing trouble. The story line is great along with the gameplay. There's alot of little details in the game to look out for and you'll probably spend alot of time hunting for pelts/skins. Some good changes is the way the "Wanted" mechanic works. A different method of punishment for causing trouble in town. If you cause trouble the Sheriff will hunt you down, When you manage to flee, a bounty is placed on your head. The difference here is that you can return to town and not get shot at by the sheriff. However every now and then, wherever you're at, bounty hunters will come after you. In order to remove it, you need to pay a large sum of money to have it go away.
