It's tempting to say that Red Dead Redemption is ahead of its time, but the reality is that this is a game of and for the times. Rockstar shows an uncanny ability to hold a mirror up to society and remind us that present day hot button issues like racism, immigration, federal government power and personal freedoms are not only nothing new, they are deeply ingrained in American society.

I really like the open world gameplay and you can play at your own pace.

Great game. Best to play on Cbox One X for 4K. Does feel a bit dated.

if you have xbox one then this is must have since no xbox one game is close to this

I haven't had the chance to play this yet but I know I'll be addicted as soon as I start so I'm saving it for a bigger opening in my schedule. I'm giving it 5 stars for the hype alone. Can't wait to play!

if you have an xbox one or 360 fun game made by good company, lots of fun kinda violent

I've played a lot of video games over the years, but all the hype around Red Dead Redemption 2 made me realize I'd never played a game in a western setting. Rather than jump into the latest and greatest, I decided to test the waters with this game first. I haven't finished the game yet, but I'm already planning to buy the sequel based on how good this one is.

I am very happy with Red Dead Redemption. I purchased it right after release many years ago and it has been one of my favorites ever since. This copy, with all DLC, is a nice addition to my collection

Between this game to red dead 2 we have come a long way from the mechanics to the visually stunning landscapes but its always good to know where it came from

I played this for the first time 8 years after it came out and it's excellent! Obviously the graphics aren't up to today's standard (but have been updated for current gen systems). Recommended.

Wound up selling this years ago and regretted it. Bought it again to have on the new generation of consoles and a must have in terms of the complete series of games now that RDR2 is out.

Revisited this game after several years. And it's still great. All time classic!
