GTA moves to the old west

This game has probably the most fun free roam I've ever played. It's a liitle something lie that game G.U.N. but with the GTA creators. Big open world environments, great weapons and variety of horses are a great foundation for the game. The storyline is gripping and addictive almost like an old west movie, and the side missions give the game a great addition with hunting, gang shootouts, wanted posters, duels and much more. Only a few minor irratations are no swimming and no train hijacking, but other than that, the game is worth it!

    All Together A Great Game

This game is the best game that I have bought. I first thought that the game was going to be an okay game because it was being released in May which is a summer game. I was utterly surprised by how great it was. People would like to call it the Wild West version of the Grand Theft Auto Series, but it is not it has its own feel to how the game works and how it is played. The story mode is great and easy to follow even for people that have the smallest attention span. John Marston is the average man who works on a ranch in America, it is 1911 and the it is still the Wild West, but things are starting to change into a civilized land. The cowboys are out and the cars are starting to flood in. The game has a good feel and the aiming system is great. The aiming systems act more like a difficulty setting than actual aiming system. Like the Casual the game is a piece of cake and on expert you need to be very experienced. That is the summary now is the break down. Multiplayer has a good feel to it they have added a new Co-op map pack that allows up to three of your friends to tackle mission together. It is so much fun with others. The main part of multiplayer is the free roam. It is where you and 16 other people can go around and do what ever in the world of the United States and Mexico. There are things to do like hold off the law or to just have shoot outs and just kill each other. The other modes though I thought were pointless because doing matches against other players is not fun for me. It is not that I can not win it is just what is the point. There are 50 ranks and 4 prestiges so multiplayer will take up a good amount of time out of the weekends by clearing out gang hideouts and transporting gold to places. The single player is amazing, Rockstar did a great job on it. The game world is so big it will take months to go and travel to places. This is a game where no one will ever be able to memorize the every area on the map because it is so big. This is mostly because it is wide open land and that nothing happens ofter. Every once and a while you will incounter random events such as a stage coach robbery or a person in need of assistance. The game also features a "Good or Bad" moral choice thing, kind of like Rockstar tried in GTA IV but this is better. There is fame and there is honor, you can gain honor by helping women and by killing criminals and you lose honor for obvious things like killing lawmen. Overall the game has a great single player and great multiplayer. This is a must buy and is something to keep you busy till the holiday season.

Single player and multiplayer both rock!!!

Single Player: The storyline of this game is just too good. It flows so well, which I have found to not be the case with some of the GTA's. The game is a lot of fun, the main mission chain would take about 20 hours to complete, but all the side missions which are convienent and fun to do take the game easily above the 30 hour mark. The AI seems to be wonderfully random; posses riding through towns shooting wildly into the air, the occassional gunfight in the streets, a wide variety of random encounters as you ride through the country. The graphics are wonderful, some of the best I've seen. Multiplayer: Free Roam is your lobby for other game types, although I have spent the last several days totally in Free Roam - its so much fun!!! In FR you level up as you gain xp, from levels 1-50. You unlock new guns, characters, mounts and titles as you level. Free Roam is the closest thing to an MMO that has come to a console. You can form a posse with other players on a public server, then choose to complete gang hideout missions, or maybe team up and go kill other players while they try to complete gang hideouts, or whatever you want. You can join Free for All, Team Deathmatch, or objective based games at any time and from any point in the Free Roam world, which is the entire RDR map. It is so good.

This game is by far the most entertaining and time consuming video game ever created. There is so much to do, a 20+ hour story line and many, many side quests. Total I would say this game can stretch up to 70+ hours. The multiplayer is just mind blowing, since you can play in a private match with friends, and have shootouts with them and rank up while having fun with buddies (and may I add that you can hunt with them also). Then if your up to it, your friends and you can go against other people online and have even more fun. This is quite possibly the only video game in this world that can take a good chunk of your life away..but take breaks, it makes the game more enjoyable if you take it slow and admire the graphics and realism of this game.

This game doesn't fail to capture your attention since the beginning. It's action packed and there's always something to do. It has an awesome storyline along with a vast wild west world and tremendous side missions. Red dead redemption is easily one of the best games ever made and is worth your money but the best things about this game are the weapons, the length of the game and the storyline. In other words... This game rules!!! Go buy it NOW!!!

This is a great overall experience with some minor issues that get in the way. The gameplay is solid and works for players of all skills. This is by far the best western game out to date. There is no shortage of content and random events to complete. Those random events do get a little repetitive after a few hours of playing. There is also some random glitches where a hours and rider are stuck in the map. Also I once found a guy floating about 100 feet in the air looking like Jesus. So far nothing that has effected gameplay they just take you out of the experience a little. This is a must buy if you like either westerns or sandbox games. Lassoing someone and dragging them through town never gets old.

    War Horse and Review

The war horse ships with all copies on the first truck to most stores and pre-orders. It is on a sheet inside the package. On to the game. It is typical Rockstar with smooth cut scenes and the new rural open world is nicely done. You won't remember who Niko Bellic is 5 minutes into this game. The game save advances you 6 hours. Keep that in mind as it adds to you playing time. There isn't a time achievement, so that should matter how much you save. The guns are different in the switching as you pull up the menu with the LB button and use the RS to choose. It is nice. The game will be a lot better when figure out how to pull up the map in once easy step. Multiplayer is nice and teaming up is great. We had a great time running missions and such. We did notice some bugs doing shoot outs where you can't see yourself or anybody else for that matter. I hope they fix that in the first patch.

    Best In The West

This game has to be one of the best wild west games you'll ever play. With over 20 hours of game story missions, competitive multiplayer, and an open world you just have to explore. The graphics are great to look at,but like in GTA IV some texture smoothness can come into effect, but that's just a minor complaint. This game has almost no limit to the possibilities you can see,do,and hear when your in this world. If you missed out on GTA IV don't miss out on this one. This game has my vote for Game Of The Year.

Exclusive Content war horse as cursed war

    Posted .

The game is great but my issue is these exclusive content offers, Maybe this is not the right forum and certainly is not limited to this game. We have 3 XBox's 360 and 3 online gold accounts in the house. When I buy a game it is to share, its rare that we buy individual copies. Exception are call of duty II as they all like to play online together so I had to but 3 copies. However we only have one copy of this game and they have to share. The issue is you can only activate the war horse on one account so this causes fighting. Who gets it etc. They should make exclusive content on the disk, so who ever as the disk at that time as the war horse. They package the code for Best Buy only surly they can make special runs of disks. I purchased Prince of Persia on the same day with the excessive skin character same deal. I understand they don''t want to share the code out to friends but linking the content to the disk would prevent that. The game is great just need copies of the code for all the kids.

    AMAZING GAME/GRAPHICS/ENGINE

This game has great graphics, great story line, and the engine for this game truely makes you feel like your steppin(using a controller) into the ol' western days. Ppl complaining about the war horse pre order its the same everywhere everyone is offering it and if its not working give it time i know rockstar will fix that. Plus its well worth buying it at Best Buy with the protection they offer if anything happens to the game they will replace it.
