Great bang for the buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Aside from the astounding graphics, great storyline, open plotline, and great add-ons, the multi-player game is awesome on it's own. With hundreds of unlockable weapons, horses, and titles, the re-playability is unmatched.

Quite possibly my "game of the generation"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Red Dead Redemption is a game that you absolutely HAVE to play. For me, it's in the running for the best game of this console generation. Not only is there plenty to do (main and side missions), but each mission is fun. It doesn't feel like grinding. End the end, you really feel connected to the John Marston character. You know him. The story is amazing. I don't want to spoil anything, but l can't recommend this game enough. Everyone should play it.

Great Company, Great Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are so many incredible things about this game. The graphics are just stunning and very realistc. Both the single and multiplayer are both really interesting. The single player has an incredible storyline that takes a good 20 hours to complete, but there are also A TON of side missions and other things to do which adds numerous hours along with the multiplayer. The multiplayer also is great, there are 50 levels to go through and plenty of unlocks. Overall, this game is a must have for any type of gamer because of all the different aspects that it covers.

Great Game, Bad Online Errors
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought this game because I heard it was amazing and indeed it is. The graphics are top notch and the campaign is very fun. The online play is also fun but there is only one problem, I can't play with my friends on live. There is always an error that tells me my connection isn't compatable with my buddies. No matter how many times we invite each other to a game the live connection denies it. Now I thought this was only my connection's fault but when I looked up how to fix it I noticed that many other people have the same issue. I guess its a common problem for Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar games needs to fix this issue because its pretty annoying. Overall the game itself is amazing but just the stupid connection errors that the game has is pretty ridiculous.

GTA for 1910
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Instead of stealing cars you steal horses, instead of gang fights you kill bandits instead of shankings in the alleys you have stand-offs in the streets. The amount of time Rockstar put into this game to make it phenominal deserves an award of some kind. The great thing about it is you dont have to kill innocent people if you don't want to because you are a outlaw trying to go straight so it suits anyones fancy.

Best game of the year so far!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GTA 4 gone western, I've never been a fan of games that go back to history, but I loved this game. You never HAVE to do a mission, you have a variety of things to do in spare time. You can camp out, ride your pick of horse (or even donkey), hogtie outlaws, hogtie the law, get hit by a train, steal, enjoy the scenery, hunt bears, deer, cyotes, birds, people if you want. A fun feature for me are the cool and funny cheat code system. With it you can change the weather, your health, ammo, law, money, sepia, type of horse. BUY THIS GAME!

For all fans of the Western Genre
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply put, this is the best sandbox game I have ever played. I am a fan of Westerns and this is exactly how I would imagine and want a game to represent the genre. The shooting mechanic is easy but fun nonetheless. The vastness of the setting and the stunning beauty of it all is jaw dropping at times. I found myself just wanting to wander around instead of going straight to the objectives. That being said, if you don't like past Rockstar sandbox games (GTA IV, etc.), then this probably won't change your mind. However, I would still recommend anyone and everyone to buy this game. I have yet to play a game this year that is more worthy of my money.

One of my best 5 games ever!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got my Xbox 360 around July of 2009, and played a handful of high awarded games and was'nt really to in to them. I was thinking, maybe gaming is'nt for me, until I got RDR and was amazed. This game really got me back into gaming. It was like nothing I had ever played in my life. I loved it so much I decided to save it so when my son is able to play, he would enjoy it too.

Brilliant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply brilliant game in a wonderful open world. Provides hours of play in single and multiplayer modes with co-op missions coming June 22nd. Some bugs, but Rockstar is working currently on fixes. I have been playing video games since the days of Pong and this is simply one of the very best games I have ever played.

An addictive open-world game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Red Dead Redemption may very well be the game of the year. It incorporates many of the familiar gameplay mechanics from the GTA series but in an entirely new setting and with entirely new characters. To me, the world seems more alive and more exciting to explore than a GTA game. You can enter the majority of buildings. Wildlife is abundant on the open plains, and random events occur in the world which you can interact with to increase your honor. It's refreshing to play a good character in a GTA game for once and this easily replaces GTA as the best game R* has ever created. Story telling is fun and interesting, horses look real, landscape is huge and realistic. If you like open world games, this is the one to get. Beware the M rating and foul language and content. But it's actually not too bad.. or I'm becoming desensitized, one of the two.

A Must Have
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you hate westerns, this game is a blast. The scenery is amazing. I found myself stopping numerous times to admire a beautiful environment. Once i was looking over a ridge and a snake suck up and bit my leg lol. Very similar to Grand theft auto, but a western theme.

Just pure amazingness
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game set in the old west/turn of the century, supposed sequel to Red Dead Revolver (not sure didn't play Red Dead Revolver). Great game play, overall graphics fantastic, extreme detail. Storyline is not too crazy, very believable. Many side missions and bonus things to do in-game. Very well built HUD and overall third-person setup. Multiplayer is very competitive and game modes are fair and believable(no juggernaut). Main story line is not too long but its still long enough that you will feel cheated. And with all the side mission and bonus in-game activities deviation from the main storyline into the bonuses is bound to happen and keeps things fresh.

Great Western genre rpg
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you enjoy good character developement, beautiful landscapes, and great Westerns, you'll absolutely love Red Dead Redemption. This is actually my first Western rpg. The combat mechanics are very well done. Great main story along with a lot of unique and interesting sideplots. After you play this game, you'll want to resurrect some dvds and re-watch some of the Western classics.

Cowboy GTA
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a cowboy Grand Theft Auto. Which is awesome. Not really much to say, its a great game, if you are a GTA fan then you will love this game. Not saying it's better but it is good. I wish it was longer, not saying it was super short though. I beat it and just as I do for GTA, I go back and mess around and kill people and whatever. It has a good replay value.

Best Game I've Played On 360
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is amazing. The game is one that is great on its own and how it plays on Live is secondary. I'm a big Call of Duty fan and the game play for this is better than any COD. COD may have this game on Live, but for enjoyment and depth of the game Redemption blows anything COD had done out of the water.

Red Dead Redeption Multiplayer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best games ever, but it needs polishing on the glitches and the Rockstar Servers... I think I know it wasn't my connection since I wasn't even able to free roam in a private match which I doubt needs barely any connection and is the server. Multiplayer also has many glitches, like glitching undergound and things such as that. I really thing they should fix these in patches later in the years. Most everything is fine about the game. The length of the game for singleplayer isn't the longest story but is fairly long and it has many side missions in my opinion to a good game but it is not much of a RPG as I though it would be to me but I love it. Even though I rented it, it has many flaws, but is great.
