It's a shame I have to go so hard on this review, because I love remarkable, and I LOVED my remarkable 2. The Paper Pro has a lot going for it. The bigger screen, nice craftsmanship, and, the big one, the color screen, were all the reasons I was excited. B however, it falls short it's really upsetting ways: 1. The marker was totally redesigned, making the user reliant on a battery-operated marker. 2. The marker tip is a lot slicker on the display, which makes it more difficult for me to control my strokes. Hate it. 3. Can't use the $150 marker you bought for your remarkable 2. Dumb and feels like a cash grab. 4. The screen colors feel a bit pixelated, which is an adjustment, but not a big deal. 5. The backlight, which is a flagship feature of this new device, is virtually useless except on it's two brightest settings. 6. It does not tolerate standard adaptive chargers--at least mine doesn't. So, plugged into my phone charger, I see the battery draining still. 7. The text seems more pixelated than the remarkable 2 when viewing side-by-side, despite the higher resolution in the specs. 8. Finally, with an okay cover and a new marker (to replace my newly useless one), the three-piece bundle sets you back over $800 after taxes. For all it's flaws, the tablet certainly showcases some neat innovations in e-ink tech, and I hope they continue to improve on it. Frankly, I will still use it, because I like the technology and the ethos being the brand, but the marker is trash, and I hate how it feels. I want the old one back.

It functions about the same as my Remarkable 2 that I traded in, but the color choices for the notebook are less impressive than I had hoped. The yellow highlighter is probably the best addition that it has as a notebook. As far as using it for pdf and ebook reading, it does add a bit of colour to images and text. I'm pretty happy overall, but hope the color options for drawing and writing can be improved.

I find myself looking for stuff to write down on this thing. Theyre definitely a little proud of em at their price point but the ReMarkable Pro is the superior enotebook. After some time, you may consider buying two.

This tool is very handy at work. The no distractions is great. There are some quirks like a new note goes weird places and you have to move it. Also the screen is what it is, with a slow refresh rate it feels. It is expensive, which is the main downfall!

Definite improvement over the previous version. Screen is brighter, color is a nice addition. UI is still not as smooth or intuitive as one might expect considering the price point.

Best investment ever for work! I am the type to write and forget but with this device i'm able to stay organized and stay focused. Everyone always compliments this notebook. Ofcourse, when I showed my wife she wanted one too. So now we have two!

Device itself feels very premium quality, cost is what knocks off a star, so far the writing is top notch from the few I have compared

The new Remarkable pro is a big step up from the original version. Having color is nice and the backlight makes it possible to use in low light situations.

This is the best e-ink tablet on the market for anyone looking for a note taking or digital planner solution. This can be used to mark up pdfs and to read epubs but its strength is really in note taking.

I use this for everything including my college studies. I can upload my textbooks to it and highlight/annotate. It makes for a lighter load on the back. I love this thing. Would definitely recommend.

I have the reMarkable too and upgraded to the reMarkable pro and I did not regret it. The features are amazing. The upgrades are definitely worth the price.

Great product! There is a slight lag when writing in color; however, the traditional ink color is smooth with hardly any lag.

It’s not cheap but great experience for paper like writing. Great battery lifetime when not using the background light all the time.

As a consultant who works with multiple clients, I've sought an easy way to keep and sort notes from conversations to replace hundreds of paper notebooks. This works!

Upgraded from The remarkable 2. This device has a passcode and light which are helpful. Glass surfaces though easy to write on does not feel like a real notebook.

Obsessed! Being a huge note taker, i was going through tons of notebooks and having to flip through the pages grew time consuming. This tool helped me get all my notes in order and easily be able to tag and pull them up in seconds! Loved it so much I bought another one for my spouse who uses theirs everyday as well now. This truly changed the game!

Bought this for my stepdaughter for nursing school. she's said it has literally changed her life. Easy to use. All her notes in one place.
