    I wanted to replace my iPad by a note taking centric device and book reader. I looked at the previous Remarkable without committing and when the color one came, I did not hesitate long. Unfortunately, I am disappointed. I was not expecting the brightness of the iPad, but I was expecting its reactivity. Reading a PDF is slow, the colors are quasi inexistant, and when you use them, it flickers. In notes, when you zoom in and erase, it is not very precise, as it seems that the size of the eraser grows with the zoom. There are some great things: the notes are accessible in a vector format, making them easily scale, you can sync with Dropbox… Maybe with the next generation of color screens?

    I originally purchased the reMarkable 2 and returned it for the Paper Pro. It was the best purchase. I am able to take notes and transfer to my computer and no longer carry around binders of notes and notepads.

    I can not recommend this product enough. It keeps all of my notes and helps me with a schedule. Definitely recommend. The ghosting is normal for an e-ink device.
