I've had a Remarkable 2 for over a year and this new version is a nice upgrade from the 2. Immediately out of the box, the first thing I noticed was the screen size. Even though it's only about 1.5" larger than the 2, it's a big improvement. I travel a lot for work and I have found that the Remarkable saves me a lot time and makes my note taking more efficient. Instead of lugging a folio with a pad of paper, the Remarkable is extremely thin and lightweight. It will convert my handwritten notes to text, although that's spotty if you don't have good handwriting. But the most important feature is how I can just download my notes directly to my computer or smartphone and save them. That eliminates all the time it would take to re-type my notes and it saves me from finding stacks of old notes in a drawer that need to be shredded. It's a time saver that declutters my office, takes up less space in my bag than a pad folio, and reduces the weight of my bag. The included marker has a container with extra tips if one breaks, and the flat end of it can be used as an eraser! The feel of writing on this tablet is very similar to the feel of paper and it is a very different experience than trying to write on an ipad or tablet with a stylus. Pencil and paper is about the closest to this experience. And the addition of color in the new Paper Pro is very helpful, not only when reading downloaded articles or PDF's, but to be able to call out specific sections or highlight an important topic. Another important update from the Remarkable 2, is the lighting. Now this can be used day/night, which has helped me be more productive on flights in the evening without needing the overhead light that would cause a glare. Overall, I wish Remarkable included a basic cover for the Paper Pro in the package, but they can be purchased online and there are a lot of options to suit all styles. The inclusion of the higher end stylus is welcome. The package includes a USB C cable for charging and the battery, in my experience, will last weeks. Definitely recommend this for people who want a digital note-taking tool that allows you to also read and annotate articles and PDF's, but doesn't have all the bloat and apps of a traditional tablet. This serves a specific purpose, and it does it extremely well!

It was great, had for about two months until the screen started showing lines, followed by blobs and it became unresponsive. Submitted warranty claim and was told they would not honor the warranty because the lines suggest internal force damage. Waste of my money. It was kept in a case and never suffered any damage. Just very unhappy with this purchase.

Writing feels great and I have been using it often to write notes etc. but the battery backup is really poor it exhausts really soon even after mild use. On using it you may feel that This needs a lot more features but the idea is to keep it simple and distraction free and focus more on writing and thinking.

The device had severe ghosting issues in the first 2 weeks of use. Returned under warranty for replacement and came face to face with their abhorrent supply chain process

Don’t do it. This thing decided to brick itself 2 days outside of the return window. Bestbuy won’t work with me on replacing it. Remarkable wants me to mail it in let them see it then mail me a new one. I am SO HAPPY I bought a 800+ dollar paper weight. Now I’m out the cash and have to wait 4-6 weeks at best for a replacement.

Not worth the money you pay. avoid buying this item it has nothing close to a real tablet or ink paper. memory is very small. color of the paper very weird. it cant store large size books

Item never arrived - we reported it not arrived. Then Best Buy never got back to us, then later when we followed up again, they said there's nothing they can do about it...

Do not Buy! Not as good as original! Writing and erasure options are very poor. Lighting is good but the words go in and out!

I am not sure why this is the second time I am buying a remarkable paper pro and again there is a dead pixel. I am so fed up with their quality control.

Color was barely visible. Backlighting non-existent.

The reMarkable Paper Pro is primarily a note taking and writing device for those people who find a tablet or laptop experience inadequate. It consists of an 11.8 inch tablet with a pen (the reMarkable Plus) that has an eraser. The screen is especially suited for writing and viewing and the battery wiil last several days if not weeks. A keyboard and case are not included. Third party cases can be used, but the keyboard is unique to the Paper Pro and is quite expensive. The Paper Pro can also be used to read and annotate PDFs. Setup is very simple. However, you do have to visit the reMarkable site and setup an account to fully utilize the Paper Pro. There is no extra charge at that point unless you need additional cloud storage. In operation, I found that the writing experience was very natural and much better than other devices that I have used. Writing and drawing are smooth and feel very much like paper and pencil. The size of the Paper Pro is large enough so that writing does not seem cramped. The Paper Pro is obviously somewhat of a niche product. However, I recommend it for anyone serious about note taking and for students, etc. who annotate pdf files.

The first month or so of the product felt great. However, this quickly ended once realizing nothing was being synced. This was being used for work. Unusable.
