Scheduling Geek Squad SUCKS!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a complete high end AV system back in '10 and had Geek Squad install. No problems... but just try to get a service call scheduled... HA- what a joke!! Because we are located outside of the "service area", the appointment cannot be scheduled via e-mail or phone... MUST be approved by mgmt prior to scheduling. This was the third time we have called GS to schedule service. Of course they want to get the "out of area" upcharge; I have no problem with that, but even after the upcharge is applied, the appt. STILL cannot be scheduled without mgnt approval. WHAT A BUNCH OF WHOOEY!!! The scheduling caused me to be on the phone and computer for at least three hours; and still, the scheduler had to call me back after hours to let me know when the appt. was scheduled. A great big runaround!! FINALLY, when the tech arrived, he was courteous, and did everything we wanted and the system was reinstalled, upgraded, and reprogrammed as desired. No complaints AT ALL with the tech; just your poor excuse for a scheduling system!!!! There is No reason to aggravate customers in such a manner, when all that has to be done, is to allow the appointment to be scheduled once the travel upcharge is applied, and paid for in advance. Service is great - scheduling SUCKS!!!

Richard does fabulous job

The problem with Best Buy in general is difficulty reaching local store (never answer phone) and online/app scheduling never works for me. Very frustrating...but, when can get service scheduled, hip hip hooray!

The geek squad guys where great, but setting up th
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setting upthe appointment the first time took 1.5 hours. when they missed the appointment due to a communication instruction prior to the appointment it took 2 hours to set up the second appointment. The appointment went fine. The Geek Squad techs where great but given the scheduling difficulty I would never use the Geek Sqaud again

Poor customer service

I Was further harassed by subsequent techs re completion of job due to miscommunication between the scheduling dept and the techs because of how job was described/ inputted into system. It took several phone calls and rescheduling (was no longer comfortable letting them into my home)of three different techs (who were rude, challenging, harassing and had been talking to each other before calling me) before finally getting an experienced tech/supervisor who took the time to sort things out . He sincerely apologized for the improper conduct of the other staff and also completed the rest of the job including correcting some of what had been done at the first visit. Very thankful for this last supervisor-tech however the experience overall was extremely stressful and upsetting especially considering the job only involved programming a couple of remotes.

Broken process for scheduling leads to frustration

Confirmed, then "no-show." I do not fault the tech person who came, who was terrific, but rather, the system that the Geek Squad is using to process and book their out-sourced "Total Tech Support."

They never showed
