This game is the reason why I decided to buy a PS4, because I had originally played this game on N64, but when I heard that it was now available on PS4. This has now opened up the door to the many wonders of PS4 gaming system. Now, back to the game itself, a wonderful delight and awesome experience through the maze and hidden clues searches it presents a game that is attention focused. Also, once completing a story line with the main character "Leon" you have the opportunity for a second run on a separate story through "Claire". Wonderful, just wonderful one player game. I am hoping and looking forward for a Resident Evil 3 Remake, because I am definitely going to purchase that one. This game definitely met my expectations!!!!

This is a remake of the ps1 classic with updated graphics and slight story changes. This a great jumping on point for any new comers to the series. Definately a must have for any horror scifi fans.

Great remake of a classic. Graphics are beautiful. Losing combat knife is annoying lol run low/out of ammo just like original. Just met with ada Wong for the 2nd time. Can’t wait to see it play out.

After some of the over the top action that Resident Evil Five and Six set up, I'm glad to see the series go back to these roots. Resident Evil 2 was the first game I got as a kid for my original Playstation back then. I've played that version so much, even up until now. It was neat to see how they worked out some of that game in this revamped edition. The character models and acting is great. Some of the new missions are awesome and the zombies are way creepier. There is a nice mix of newer gameplay mechanics like aiming your weapons to some of the old school stuff like the save points in safe rooms and limited ammo

This does a great job of modernizing RE2 while still capturing the essence of the original. Resources are light and enemies are resilient making you choose when to try and run and when to fight.

Brand new game available when I wanted it. This game is a great reminiscent of when the game first came out. It’s got better graphics and controls. Still has that eerie scary feel about it

Capcom is knocking it our of the park lately. They completed remade the PS1 classic using the very capable RE engine. For one the game looks beautiful on an Ultra HD screen and it controls very smoothly.

I grew up with RE and until now had RE4 as my favorite. RE2 Remake is as good as RE4 was but it has awesome graphics along with a great story. Resident Evil fans will not be disappointed.

Looks amazing with the PS5 free upgrade. Very moody and atmospheric to show off the look and feel of a horror movie.

Amazing remake that perfectly encompasses the feel of the original while at the same time introducing a great new experience for both first-timers and players that experienced the classic.

this game takes me back, it brings back good memories, this is how you do a remake, the controls dont feel like a tank, great graphics and the same old corny great story, it is a true great game.

Familiar to Resident Evil or not, if you enjoy tense games with great atmosphere, this game will hit the spot and then some. Graphics and sound design are above many other AAA titles out there.

Resident Evil 2 on PlayStation in 1998 was one of the most enjoyable survival-horror games ever released. The remake continues that tradition and improves on all the aspects that made it great, and the result is what could be the best Resident Evil ever made. It may even be the best horror title ever made just going by the sheer level of craftsmanship and detail. Is it the scariest? It is scarier than the 1998 original, but on current platforms such as PlayStation 4, one would be hard-pressed to find anything that's even half of its calibre. This is one that keeps on giving; highly repayable and full of interesting ways to keep playing, even after completing two campaign variations.

Got it on sale right before Christmas. Totally lives up to the original but with way better controls and the updated graphics really turn up the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

So I bought this game for my husband since he is a die-hard fan of Resident Evil and played every game they have made thus far. When he first turned it one he was amazed at just how much better the graphics were. He even said they made it scarier if that is even possible for a grown man to say. But what he liked the most is since he plays it at night most times with his headset on he said it makes him feel like he is really in the game. He also likes that they brought back the old school feel of the game, but updated the look. He says he loves the playability and that it is a more challenge game. Overall he thinks the game is awesome and would recommend anyone to play it.

I've been waiting for this game to come out for about 4 years. Although there are a few things I would prefer to be slightly different, overall the game is awesome and much better than I expected it to be. The graphics are awesome. The Tyrant is awesome and fun to play with and run away from. I love that you can swap for the original soundtrack, and have the original 1998 models for Leon and Claire. The Arklay Sheriff costume reminds me of Rick from Walking Dead. Overall very reminiscent to the original version, but completely new and fresh design and mechanics. The balance is perfect to reference the original version while creating a new and interesting layout.

extremely spoopy game. I was too scared to play this in 98, not sure why I'd want to play it now when it looks so real, but I am. It's an excellent remaster. You never have enough ammo...

This game has been rebuilt from the ground up. This is the way you do a remaster properly. The controls are modern resident evil instead of tank controls. I love it.

I'm a bit biased because I love the original so much. This remake changes some of the story but it's a very fun game and is scarier than I thought it would be
