I have Resident Evil 1 and this is the perfect way to start a new game.

Really enjoyed playing through this game with a revamped engine

My niece requested for her birthday and it was a hit.

Haven't had much time to play, but so far so good.

I don't play Xbox I bought it as a gift for my brother and he seemed to like it.

probably the best horror game ever remade. do yourself a favor and buy it.

Ok, nothing to really brag about but will pass the time

I forgot how flippin hard this game was. I found it tedious and lacking in the kind of gameplay I wanted. I simply stopped playing it after two days.

I can't play this game. Everytime I see zombie i get scared and take break. I hear there a big zombie who chases you throughout the game. that stinks for me I guess. If you can handle scary things and dont have a weak heart I might would recommend this to you. Though apparently this game is a rehash of another game with the same name from 1998. make of that what you will

If you're on the fence about getting this game, thinking that everything would be the same as before in the 1998 release, you would be dead wrong. This reimagining of RE2 feels and breathes like a totally new game--you never know what to expect around the corner! The atmosphere is scary. The enemies are tougher. New gameplay dynamics borrowed from the best aspects of the previous iterations of the RE franchise are here, such as the disposable one-use defense weapons. Refinements across the board. The best aspect of the game is in its balance and difficulty. Zombies are no longer easy enemies to dispatch once encountered. You are meant to be afraid of them, wanting to avoid them at all costs to save precious resources like ammunition and health-related items. You are given everything you will ever need if you are frugal, given the game's adaptivity, but you must master the art of preservation, patience, and cunning to outsmart the next deadly enemy encounter. Zombies do not always stay dead! To up the ante, Mr. X (Tyrant) is now a perpetual threat, constantly pursuing you in the varying environments that you will explore and keeping you on your toes while solving puzzles in real-time and while dispatching other enemies in your path. You have to try your best to lose him in corridors and adjacent rooms, and finding ways to quietly dispatch enemies from alerting him to your presence. Sounds really hard on paper, but you will go through a steep learning curve to master this new gameplay mechanic. The only negatives of the game lie in its overall length (8-9 hrs per scenario), lack of enemy and alternate second-game variation, and demanding nature for you to learn how to progress naturally through puzzle-solving, enemy pursuit, and limited resources. It's a game about being smart during a zombie apocalypse! There are the same unlockable modes as before after completing the game, such as running through a second, alternate scenario with different cut-scenes and puzzles, and there are planned free DLC coming very soon. It is like the previous RE2 scenarios A and B combined into one playthrough, actually. Get this game if you are a fan of the franchise and enjoy some classic RE mechanics from previous games mixed up with the latest RE games. It's definitely game of the year!

Let me start off by saying I am a residence evil fan, I loved Resident Evil 2 on the PS1. So this game would have to bring it, and This game eclipses that old one by far with reimagining areas and superb storytelling without leaving out that old nostalgia RE lore. Enjoy the jump scares and claustrophobic game play as you survive (not shoot) your way through this epic horror. I love this game and my heart is healthy now from all the exercise it gets playing this game. Not a long game, maybe about 8-10 hours to get through. But plenty of surprises.

Was expecting better game... but could understand y some ppl like it

This Game has it all action drama horror twisted dark humor. Puzzle solving great graphics on Xbox one X and to get the complete story I recommend you should do the second run by getting a feel of both characters. This game gives off vibes of the movies Alien and Aliens. I love this series and its rich history of characters if you like survival horror games that can be challenging at times this games is for you!!

This game is by far my personal favorite of all the Resident Evils in the series. It is fantastic they did an awesome job on this game with all the great graphics and gameplay it was what I was hoping for when I heard about them remaking the game. I highly recommend this game it takes you back to what survival horror is supposed to be. Definitely a game I can play over and over and not get tired of. Great job Capcom!

Having never played the original RE2 I was very excited to dive into this remake and it has completely blown me away. From the atmosphere to the amazing graphics this is the scariest game I've played since the Dead Space series.

I bought this game based on the large number of great reviews it's receiving. Truth is, it's a really good remake and a fun trip down memory lane as I played the original RE2 years ago. It's just not as good as the diehard RE fans claim. The controls are still very clunky and moving or doing anything quickly is a not going to happen. Capcom should have spent more time on the controls. It's a fun game if approached as horror survival, a run and gun style won't get you far.

Resident evil 2 is one of the best of the series. Of course when I heard this was coming out I rushed out to buy it. Worth every penny. Looks incredible on X1X! Tense action and just as good as I remember

The original Resident Evil 2 was among my favorite of the series. This remake takes it to a whole new level. Superb graphics, and the changes they made are a fresh welcome. 2 severed thumbs up!!

I liked the gamecube remake of resident evil 1 and when i learned that they are doing a modern take for the remake of 2 i was worried they would go for the re 6 direction instead of more traditional route. I am happy to say that it meets all my expectations and i cant stop playing. I ended up playing 2 full playthrough of leon a and claire b. played the extra mode and now on claire a.
