I followed the RE franchise all the way back to the PS1 game. I was excited when it was remade and even though I enjoyed the game it was very short and alot of content was cut.

Resident Evil 3 is a great game but could have been excellent. Based on the same engine as the RE2 Remake, RE3 feels like the next iteration of Capcom's previous effort. Unfortunately RE3 is a shorter game than RE2. Also there are some sections completely missing from this remake compared to the classic PS1 game. The trade off is a new multiplayer component that, as of launch, feels unbalanced and a little thin. The potential for a balanced fun experience is there but that depends on Capcom devoting continued efforts to patch the multiplayer. Ultimately Resident Evil is still a very polished, high quality game but there's a couple knocks against it that prevent it from achieving full "Game Of The Year" level.

Much like the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, the remake of the classic 1999 game sees players attempting to escape the doomed Raccoon City as returning heroine Jill Valentine. Once again rendered in the RE engine, the zombies and other monsters are brought to life with incredible detail. However, some changes have been made, obviously in order to maintain the feel of the original RE3, so don't go in expecting quite the same gameplay of last year's RE2 remake. With that said, this remake manages to strike a nice balance between horror and action, making Jill's escape feel like an intense ordeal. There are also fun unlockables that encourage a few replays, from infinite ammo weapons to flaming knives.

This resident evil remake isn't as good as resident evil 2. The game is fun and there's a lot of action. It took me about 8 hours to beat it. The game is short but it has replayability.

RE3 is more action oriented than RE2 and a lot of fun to play. Great graphics and lighting effects. Can’t go wrong with this one. If you like the RE2 remake, you will like this

This game is beautiful! The story and jump scares are great! Gameplay and story was great, the game length is old school resident evil, which is fine with me. Changes compared to original were made.

First off, I wasn't a huge fan of the original 1999 game. With that said, I was surprised by how much I ended up enjoying this one. However it is not without its faults. It is EXTREMELY short and they also cut out some memorable content from the original, such as the clock tower. Also this is not survival horror but is more action horror. There are only 2 puzzles in this game that I can think of, which is a departure from the RE 2 remake. If you're a fan of the RE games, I'd say pick this up. However I would also suggest waiting until it's on sale for $40'ish as I think you might be disappointed spending $60 on a game that you can complete in about 5 hours on a first time playthrough.

This is overall a good follow up to the awesome game that was last year’s RE2. This game is fun and mostly engaging throughout but the campaign is a little short and can be beaten in a few hours.

Very very short. Basically can beat it through an afternoon sitting. The production value is high and game looks and plays amazing, would be perfect if it was a little bit longer.

So, to start off, I am a big fan of resident evil games. Although I started them with RE: Biohazard, I still got hooked and now I have almost the whole collection. I pre-ordered RE3 and got it the day it was released. I finished it withing a day and i was very pleased with the graphics and how smooth the controls are. I do have to say I'm not quite familiar with the story, i know the foundation of it, but i did start this games backwards, therefore I just know it has to do with a virus and that it comes from Umbrella. Yet, i still highly recommend this game, amazing graphics! Can't wait for the remake of RE4!

Thought this a great remake to the original. Alot of people complain about the length of the game but I don't see that issue. The game has plenty of replay value and tons of things to try and find for any achievement/trophy/OCD players. Unfortunately this isn't anything revolutionary in comparison to the RE2 Remake. The scenery is a little more intense, and the volume of enemies you encounter at once are higher, but it's nothing thats going to make it stand out in comparison. If you're an avid fan or completionist of the series, its a must. If you're looking to get into the RE world, or just want to give one of these remakes a try, I'd stick with 2 until this goes on sale.

While there may be the detractors because of some "cut" content. What is added is more than enough. Nemesis is still grueling and relentless. And although a few areas of Raccoon City are cut, the game play as Carlos is also compelling and gives back story to events in the RE2 remake. One of the best acted and written Resident Evils by far, with on point voice acting and motion capture. Graphics and sound are amazing too! With a few surprises in store, even for those who think they know the game series. While it may not be the perfect remake of the original game, it is still a great stand alone experience. If a little short. Highly recommend for horror and Resident Evil fans!

This was an amazing game. I had a lot of fun playing it. My only problem with it was that it was too short and felt more like an action shooter than a survival horror game.

If you never played the original RE3, you will love this game. Older players will dislike a few changes, but the game itself is a great game. Not as good as RE2, but it is still great.

I really loved the original RE3. This remaster looks stunning. I know is really short, but the original was short as well. Maybe, ok could have been $40 maximum but, still is really good.
