well the upgrade in graphics is good just missing some steps but overall good remaster

One best the best resident evil game i play in year

I never played the original RE3 game, so I don't know how exactly this compares to it. This game feels similar to the RE2 Remake in terms of graphics and mechanics. Even the Nemesis boss feels like a slightly different version of RE2's Tyrant. Yet, I loved the game all the more because of it. I think this game is exactly what it needs to be. It's a refreshed version of a beloved classic that attempts to capture a new audience. I'm a long time RE fan, but the first RE game I owned was RE4 (still the best in my book), so these remakes allow me to experience the story of the original games with updated looks that match the expectations of current generation gaming. I've seen fans of the original complain that the remake is not as long, but I think the story feels complete. I feel satisfied by the amount of gameplay I got out of it and the game even include REsistance for free (for those who like that type of gameplay), which is a whole different experience. Now, I have to give BestBuy a shout out because they always win me over other retailers with their steelbooks! I love collecting those and getting a free steelbook with most games (even with the regular edition) is just such a great value.

It was extremely difficult to get past nemesis but excellent game

Although it is a little different than RE2 remake, it is still a fun game that is worth playing. I would say its a mixture of RE2 remake and RE5. The gameplay is linear which isn’t a bad thing but the fast pace makes the game short and wanting more. Overall, still a good game.

I have always been a resident evil guy thus remake is awsome

If you haven't pulled the trigger yet, do yourself a favor and wait for a good sale. This is not a bad game. It just pales in comparison to the phenomenal RE2 remake Capcom released last year. The visuals are equally impressive, but the content is sorely lacking. I made it through the campaign on standard difficulty setting in about 4-1/2 hours, and that's with a decent amount of exploration and backtracking for as many extras as I could find. Instead of expanding on the original, it feels like they stripped it down for a barebones recreation using many existing assets, missing key locations and choices from the original. Nemesis himself looks awesome, but feels very scripted and limited. By the end, he just comes off as a neusance more than a dreadful, and relentless foe. In the end, this feels more like a premium DLC campaign expansion than a AAA, standalone title, which is why I recommend waiting for a big discount. I did not try the included RE: Resistance out, as competitive multi-player isn't really my thing, so I can't speak for it's merits.

Resident Evil 3 returns, the ps1 classic reimagined and is largely successful. Not as open ended as Resident Evil 2, very straightforward, but delivers a tense and action packed game with excellent combat. Short game, but endlessly replayable with lots of unlockables. Includes a multiplayer game but I hated it. YMMV.

This is a great horror game with a lot of replayability. My sister beat this like 50 times no joke...

RE3 Remake (or RE3make) excels in production as the characters are more developed, the voice acting is great, and the motion captures are amazing. The gameplay hasn't changed much from RE2 Remake, aside from adding the dodge mechanic. This game focuses more on the action aspect of RE3, much like the original, and segues into RE4 quite nicely. After finishing the game multiple times and finally getting the Platinum, you just felt like there could have been more added to it. The developers were not joking when they said that certain environments were removed to make this game more streamline. If you've ever played the original RE3 on the PS1, you'll be hard pressed not to find that the omitted areas in this game serving only as a tease and nothing more. Depending on preferences, there are questionable design changes to the main protagonist, but I found it to be just fine. There is also an "addition" to this package, which is RE Resistance, an asymmetrical online multiplayer game. I can't speak for too much of it because I don't usually play online in a single player game. Overall, this package was great for the story, characters, gameplay and production, but it will leave you wanting more as it is missing a lot of what made the original the cult classic it has become. It is a very fun ride, nevertheless, but over too quickly.

Great game to play right before the new RE4 remake.

The game is amazing, similar gameplay to RE2 Remake but with added features like a dodge technique. The environments are beautiful and the weapons are really fun to use. The game is a bit short, but has lots of replay value and they will probably add more content to it in the future. It also includes Resident Evil Resistance, an online 4 against 1 game that is also very fun

Unbelievable remake a must buy for a true PlayStation fan
