Like most, I love the Resident Evil series. When RE2 remake was released last year, I was scared of every step that I took. Now, we have Resident Evil 3 and it's a roller coaster ride! In a way, RE3 is actually less intense and kind of easier than its predecessor. Right away, you'll notice how gorgeous the visuals are in this game! The city's neon signs cast their glow, creating eerie zombie silhouettes as you push forward. The story is straight to the point: escape the city while being occasionally pursued by the Nemesis. Whereas RE2 had Mr. X relentlessly stalking you, the Nemesis pops up during scripted occasions and is relatively easy to escape from. I found this enjoyable since in RE2, I would freeze each time I would hear Mr. X coming down the hall. What I am saying is that Resident Evil 3 is more accessible for players. There are nods to RE2 but players aren't required to have played the previous installment. Unfortunately, this game is short and doesn't offer the extra modes that were available in RE2 but if you're a trophy hunter then you should have an easy time reaching the Plat trophy. Capcom has done it again and I am looking forward to seeing what they do with the newly announced Resident Evil 4 remake (though I want Code Veronica first).

I took one star away due to the length of the single player, which is the main draw for this game. The single playeris only around 6 hours long. This is pretty short, so this is probably why they had release the multiplayer Resident Evil Resistance with this game. It is very pretty game and I really enjoyed it. Multiplayer is a fun component to get your RE fix.

Short but sweet. Visually, it looks great. But the length could definitely be a problem at full price. The gameplay holds up for the most part, but some Nemesis sections feel awkward. As someone who never played the original, I cant speak to how well it handles the upgrade, but it is a solid addition to the Resident Evil family.

It's a real good game but length is not much to be desire for a $60 price tag. Graphics are very good and playing with headphones on make the sound quality pop out. If you wonder about difficulty it's not very complicated or hard to understand. It took me 7hrs to beat on hard, as for replayability game doesn't convince me to do it again unless you are a RE fan.

It's less polished in terms of gameplay and has a less interesting story than the res evil 2 remake but it's entertaining nonetheless. RE is always a quality franchise and great for survival horror fans. I bought this on sale and I think it is definitely worth it at a price point of 30 or below.

I’ve been a fan of Resident Evil since I was in 2nd grade (I know; that seems young) this remake of 1999’s Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is amazing in my eyes. This game takes place both before and after the events of Resident Evil 2. It’s very topical for the climate today concerning the virus. I pre-ordered it months ago (but it says I purchased it April 1st; I guess that’s when they actually took my money and shipped RE3) and it arrived on time, and I got that coveted platinum trophy 3 days later. I would highly recommend to a horror fan. The game is short! But the replayability of the campaign’s collectibles and unlockable difficulties will make you go back for more. Best Buy shipped it fast! My brother bought it from Amazon and it was delayed, and another brother got the digital version. I love my physical copy and my steelbook. I want to take this time to thank Best Buy :) it was a great birthday and because you were able to work in this time! If you’re unsure because of the length of the story, definitely wait for it to go on sale. I thought it would be longer too but I found value in it and got it to 100% completion.

After playing the resident evil two remake I had to preorder this beauty. Pros (in my opinion): The gameplay is fun and thrilling Great reimagining of the original Comes with multiplayer Cons: Story is fairly short This is a must have for resident evil fans! The steel book is pretty cool looking too! Check it out!

While the game is fairly short (Second play through was a little over three hours) it is really really fun, to the point that I wanted to play through it again immediately. Amazing graphics, played on a PlayStation 5 flawlessly. Would wait for a lower than $30 price point on it though as it is constantly on sale here and there.

I felt in love with the survival horror franchise since RE7 and I certainly never played the original RE3. So I can’t comment on the similarities or the differences between the original and the remake. It’s true that the story campaign is short. But I did enjoy every moment of it and the Online RE resistance. Also got few jump scares while playing it.

I have now completed the game 3 times. I have been a fan of the series since the release of RE4 and have played every entry in the series since then including earlier entries. This is by no means a bad Resident Evil game. It's just quite disappointing considering the masterpiece and Gold standard set by Resident Evil 2 Remake. I have no problem with the length of the game or ramped up action set pieces. What concerns me with this game is how blatant this game wears its RE4 influences on its sleeve. This is done to the point where music is nearly identical in certain sections and certain scenes (most specifically the first Hunter Alpha encounter) feel copy and pasted from RE4. The difficulty needs work as well. I think the added mechanics of Jill's dodge, Carlos' punch, and the permanent knife are fine, but the enemies (besides the standard zombie) are way too weak. This could have been curbed by making ammo less abundant, however, this would have detracted from the action horror tone that Capcom was going for. This review should not by any means stop you from purchasing this game. It is by far one of the best post-RE4 titles. I would rank it 3rd, with RE2 remake being number 1, and RE7 being 2nd.

Love how it was remade with the RE4 engine which made it super enjoyable! Short game but dang the story and Nemesis boss battles kept me on my toes!! If youhvan't bought it yet, give it a try now. Def worth it for the sale price!

I like to go for all the trophies in the game so I had to play through multiple times. I got to the point where I beat the game 3 times in 3 hours. Too short. Not enough content. Game plays fine, just short.

Super fun though feels kind of like a big expansion dlc to RE2 - identical gameplay mechanics (which are great) and graphics, and less overall content. The campaign itself is quite short. Still a lot of fun and nostalgic. Some critiques of how they implemented Nemesis but I’ll leave it spoiler free.
