A Return to Form for Resident Evil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Though it features a new gameplay style for the series by featuring a first person perspective, this entry very much feels akin to the way most of the franchise played prior to RE4. This is mostly thanks to the way that the horror elements and tension compliment the slower, more methodical combat and puzzles that were overshadowed or fully missing from some of the later games in the franchise. The movement can feel a bit too slow at times, which is probably my only real gripe with the game so far. Otherwise the gameplay is thrilling, the scares feel well earned and the game looks grotesque in the best possible way with the PS4 pro enhancements.
