Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the gameplay, VR functionality, and immersive horror experience offered by Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, with many praising the story and atmosphere. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the limited ammo supply, the game's difficulty, and the lack of enemy variety. The effectiveness of boss fights also received mixed feedback. While the first-person view and jump scares were generally well-received, motion sickness was a concern for some VR users.

This iteration of resident evil is a masterpiece. Not only did it go back to its roots of horror and puzzle solving, but the graphics and timing are on point. When the music alone is enough to convince you to do what the game wanta, You know you have something special. A must buy for any horror fans.

This game is finally a return to survival horror after the action heavy focus, inspired by Call of Duty, of resident evil 5 and 6

Not a return to form, but another reinvention.

I've been with the RE franchise since the good old days of RE: Director's Cut. I bought all the main releases and loved each in their own regard. Jumping into RE7 was like jumping into another franchise with inspirational callbacks to REmake. Exploring the Baker estate reminded me so much of scouring the grounds of Spencer's mansion. If you look at the franchise, REmake and RE4 are two good representations of what the franchise was before RE7. What I dig about RE7 is that, despite how different it is gameplay wise, it still feels like a true RE title. Without a doubt, this is the best VR horror experience you can have. This game has given me one of the most memorable gameplay experiences of all time, and it's something I see myself revisiting every now and then. All of its problems can be forgiving through its shining moments of mystery and terror.

This is by far my favorite resident evil game. Loved the campaign and how intense it was. I bought the season pass and it was worth it. Great gameplay, story, and the graphics are top notch. Highly recommended!

I've only played it on the VR and it's been amazing! A lot of things make you jump and startle you! And I haven't got nauseous or dizzy playing it either. A must have if you own a vr.

The developers earn my absolute respect in delivering an essential experience for anyone fortunate to own a PSVR. As a 30 year old fan who grew up with Mikami's original, I was intrigued by the different (and perhaps needed) approach Capcom took here. Thankfully I didn't let nostalgia blind me to dismiss what is one of the most thrilling experiences I've had in many years. My fiance & I played this game start to finish in VR. To say it was an unforgettable blast is an understatement. I highly recommend skipping playthroughs for this title until you can live it in VR. You will be glad you did.

Best RE in a long time!

First off let me say that I've been playing Resident Evil since the very beginning and this experience by far is the best in my opinion. They really took me back to a place of horror and a sense of imminent peril with this game. I first played it regularly and the game was terrifically scary, then I went out and bought the PS VR. At first i thought everyone was just hyping up VR so I had to see for myself. Well, they weren't! This game is truly meant for VR. Everything is so realistic from the moment you enter the game. Capcom outdid themselves this time. Can't wait to see what's next.

The scariest game I have played.

You know a game is scary when you still get a little scared a week later thinking about it before bed. This game is great and very scary during a normal playthrough. Now when you factor in that it includes PS VR support it becomes the scariest game ever. The great visuals and the game being in 1st person really adds to the immersion factor. Recommended for anyone who likes a scary game.

Great comeback for the Resident Evil series

Pros: Brings back the survival horror the series was known for Really scary Sounds are great Story is great Cons: Short game. Only took me 12 hours to finish. But Madhouse difficulty (enemies more dangerous, ammo limited, auto-saves very limited, must save with cassette tapes which are limited, and other small changes to make the game harder) and a free story DLC coming in the Spring make up for the short story.

I was unable to play this game using PSVR, but nevertheless, the game is amazing. Sure, there are a few technical issues such as low-res textures when you get up close. But for the most part, the game is beautiful. It could use a few more enemies but it didn't really get old with the variety there is. I highly recommend the game if you are a fan of the old games as it goes back to good horror.

Liked mixing bullets and run and shoot. After one and two it changed. Changing moving camera angles like in watchdog, intro of fallout Danse'' character that walk around and get in the way and cut screen games only go so far. Can go all way through Resistance fall of man hard mode without dying + - (20 hr.) but when game two came with the all waiting and cut screen I wanted to quit often.

Finally! A game that scares. Graphics, Environment, and voice acting is spot on. At some moment's I really thought I was stuck in a house. Great job, Capcom. Way to bring back a beloved franchise to its roots.

This game has definitely been worth the wait.. There's a lot of creepy parts to the game. I like that it's not your run and shoot game like the previous RE's. It's more of a slow and creepy atmosphere with limited weapons and ammo. I also like that the puzzles are challenging but not to the point where you get annoyed. I can definitely play this game more than once!

This is a really awesome and fun game! Its really short but the whole scary experience on the VR is worth it; even if you're not playing it with the VR headset, its still awesome!! The replay value is 5 out of 10. There's not a New game plus when you beat the game so you won't be able to keep the items you had in your last gameplay.

Save your money till it's cheaper

I just bought this via Amazon in my quarterly "big" order, BEFORE I knew about the DLC. The game itself is good, but save your money. Wait until it's about $20. There's always plenty to play to skip this for about a year. Yet another company trying to wring more money out of people by not releasing the full game. ONE WEEK after release, there's going to be the first paid DLC. In February (only a week later I believe), the 2nd one. There's no way the first part at least isnt' already finished and wasn't cut from the disc with DLC that soon.... Wait till it's like $20, then you wont' pay more then $50 or $60 total IF you want the DLC. Expansions (called dlc now) are supposed to be worked on AFTER the game releases, not be done when it releases and cut from the disc to wring more money out of people. Like "back in the day" when Command and Conquer 3 released on PC. Later Kane's Wrath released, in a seperate package like it's own game... but it was the expansion. For $20.. CDProject Red is the only company I can think of at the moment that didnt' try to screw people. They gave all the cosmetic and minor stuff away for free, and the expansions were mostly (if not totally) worked on afterwards and released months later for a fair price for an expansion. Of course most DLC isn't as huge as each of theirs, but it's the idea behind it.... Anyway, for this reason alone, when companies do this they dont' get my full $60. I buy the game much later, even Used unless I HAVE to buy new still for whatever reason. But ya, save your money and wait if you want the dlc as well, unless you really can't wait....
