I'm an old school Resident Evil 2 fan. So I wasn't really sold on the idea of this being as exciting since it's first person style. Also adding to my hesitations was it's compatible with the PS VR set which I don't own. I thought for sure since I didn't have the VR set that the game wouldn't be all that great. I was wrong! Once I got passed the first person style of the game I was hooked! The story grabbed my attention right away and I jumped several times throughout the game. It reminded me of the old RE style with some twists. One thing I'll point out are the puzzles aren't all that hard to solve. So if you're a fan of the harder to solve puzzles you may be let down. Outside of that I had a blast playing this. I'm considering getting the PS VR set to play it for the forth time!

Playing this at the moment! It has a different feel, but its very similar to RE Survivor from the first person point of View. It also has some the same aspects as RE code Veronica, when examining items found. Although this is suppose to be influenced from a previous title not released in the NA. It still has some RE influences. I am taking this game's perspective, as a civilian point of view from the RE universe. Hopefully as i keep playing it through, i will be satisfied~ :D. so far so good.

The graphics are amazing and I am really enjoying the story so far! Looks like it is going to be as fun as the other ones!!

This is a pretty good episode for Resident Evil. However, it does have a very Silent Hill Vibe going on. In fact the creator of this game acknowledged his love for Silent Hill series and his love for the unreleased Silent Hill title PT. If you ever played PT, the beginning of this game has the almost exact layout and feeling. It's still a pretty good game though, there could've been a couple things here and there that should have been fixed or done away with but overall it's a great game.

This game is similar to the Survivor series if you happen to recall those. It is solid and scary, but not very difficult.

Resident Evil 7 is a great return to it's past while still pushing the survival horror genre forward. The first person view provides several scares and frightening chases and also allows for immersive VR gameplay. The game plays well and has a decent story and has a lot of nods to previous Resident Evil games as well as horror movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Ring, Saw, and Evil Dead. Play this game if you like horror, or RE, or a good time. Also great to play with friends.

This game can be quite intense in VR Mode. Not for kids

A bit slow walking/sprinting but I'll give it a 8/10 without ps vr and a 9/10 with ps vr you can make ammo and just like old RE it's horror makes you want more. This game looks real. Check your corners, your being stocked.

I typically don't watch many horror films but I've played many RE games. Because of that I thought to take a crack at this game since I purchased the PSVR and it's incredible. While Until Dawn is more of a roller coaster scare, the eeriness of RE7 makes VR great. Surround sound and the lack of light in certain areas makes my heart jump. I would recommend this to anyone. Give yourself time to watch cartoons or something light right after if you're playing before going to bed...

I play the Vr version and I was so scared I had to stop playing for a few days! Intense and scary!

Ok, so first thing first... if you go into this expecting a Resident Evil game to mysteriously appear, you will be disappointed. That being said, this game shows few signs of being a true Resident Evil title. Capcom could have easily gotten away with making this a prequel game with another title. The enemies/monsters are more reminiscent of earlier failed attempts of bio-weapons than anything we have seen before, and most importantly... there are no zombies present whatsoever. This is a game that often imitates the recent jump scare type of fodder, and occasional pulls that off rather well. So if that's what you're looking for then you'll be good, but with the shallow references to Resident Evil... better luck next time getting a true sequel to the franchise.

I was excited about the release of this game because it was a fresh new take on the beloved resident evil series .I felt a PT influence mixed with classic resident evil. From what i played so far i'm enjoying this game .

Played this game in VR and it's scary! One of the best vr games you can play today as far as realism and graphics.

This is a scary and eerie game. You're playing in 1st person with the VR. It's like you're the actual character.

Blown away by the game. Incredibly immersive, beautiful graphics, terrifying soundtrack. If you are brave enough do this in VR lol amazing game!!

This version of Resident Evil is nothing like 4, 5, or 6 where there is more action. Instead they went back to a slow paced, search for items to solve puzzles and fight some monsters in between type game. Oh and they made it in first person and VR (if you have the headset). I really like the style of gameplay but it's not for everyone, especially if you are looking for a lot of action/shooting sequences. And the game is fairly short, even with doing a lot of exploring, it can be completed in 10-12 hours. There is a hard mode which from what I was told is VERY hard (for anyone wanted to replay at a high difficulty). But in the end they tried to go back to a "survival" horror game, where at times ammo and health is hard to come by, and I really enjoy that.

The game is fantastic. Very atmospheric and full of dread. A return to form for those who like the classic RE games.

Played pretty much every RE title out there, including the horrible RE:Outbreak. I remember loving this franchise from Capcom so much that I would beat RE1 and RE2 multiple times trying to get the best completion time. This game encourages that once you beat the game. That is as much replay-ability you will get from this game, other than unlocking couple new weapons and infinite ammo. RE5 and 6 were pretty bad. It lost that survival horror feel. This, RE7, has brought it back. There are plenty of jump scares and it leaves you expecting it on every corner you turn. I think it's great how they changed from third person to first. It definitely made it more enjoyable for me. My only wish is that they would have made the puzzles more challenging.

I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys being scared
