I've seen a lot of reviews with people complaining it's not a "resident evil" game but I disagree. It's not as action packed as RE5 or RE6, but it truly goes back to its roots when compared to RE1. Main difference this time, is that it's in first person but aside from that it's still a survival/horror game that comes along with some backtracking & easier puzzles as well but I think it's worth a shot especially for those crazy enough to play it in madhouse difficulty.

When it first came out, I had my doubts, I started reading reviews and all I had seen was good reviews, I just had to see it my self, I don't like to always follow reviews because people always want a single excuse to put a bad review on it. You have to recognize a good product. Now this game is really scary, a lot of the things, you just don't expect it. And well try it on VR, you'll get even more out of it. I definitely will recommend it to any one that can take it

Probably the best Resident Evil game since Resident Evil 4. The change in perspective and going back to the roots of survival horror made this one of my favorite games I’ve played this year.

I REPLACED MY OLD PS3 WITH A NEW PS4 AND THE GAMES ARE GREAT. THE ONE DRAWBACK IS PS4'S MEMORY THAT IS LOW SO I HAD TO ADD AN 5 GB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE AS THE NEW GAMES TAKE UP SO MUCH MEMORY.

I'm having a blast with RE7 so far. I've felt anxious and been in suspense for my entire playthrough, which is a welcome return for the RE series as the last several entries have been more or less FPS games with very little of the suspense necessary for a great survivor horror game. A few of the "boss" fights have felt slightly forced and cheesy, but this detracts very little from my overall opinion. Definitely would reccomend to those who love survival horror games.

This is one of best RE games in the series. The first person view adds to the experience. Great game all around.

This game is the scariest game ever for especially in virtual reality The virtual reality experience is not only the best out there but it's exclusive to PlayStation and you have 100% complete control over your movements you might want to sit down when you play this game so that when the cut scenes come in you're in the right spot also I'd like to set the motion to smoothie instead of 30° But if you have a PlayStation virtual reality this is a must-have game

I have played most of the titles in the RE series and this one does not disappoint. The first person approach was a bit of a change but good for a game that is a horror movie at its core.

Don't let the first person perspective fool you, this is a traditional Resident Evil through and through. This is easily one of the best Resident Evils in a while, and goes back to it's survival horror game play roots. This game plays more like the original games in the series, before 4 rebooted the game play to 3rd person behind the back. You still get a weapon, but for two thirds of the game ammo is scare, and you're working with a very limited inventory.

My husband loves to play this game. The graphics are amazing and it tells a great story

Or at least my kid likes it and plays it. I didn't like the price was in it and not really removable.

Survival horror is back. First person view. Ten hours or so on first playthrough. Old resident evil feel. 9/10

Take everything you thought you knew about what it's like to play Survival Horror and turn it on it's head. Instead of being predictable for over-the-top grotesque monsters and jump scares, expect the feeling of being immersed in a gritty, intense, and well performed story. Play with the lights out, and the sound up. The Baker Family is having you for dinner!

This is a gift for my husband and daughter who love resident evil. We've already seen some online play that shows just how different this one will be. I'm so excited to see the 3d play.

As someone who owns every Resident Evil game and some of them twice (next gen remakes,) Resident Evil has made a move that was necessary. Just like RE4 was a needed move back on the GameCube, RE VII goes back to what made the series so good in the first place. Puzzles, crafting and story without trying to be an action adventure game that 5 & 6 tried to be. First person Resident Evil is a lot of fun with high replayability. BTW, the first DLC is already out.

The game has an amazing story line. Haven't tried it without VR but have no reason to because VR is amazing!

This game is a lot of fun. Highly recommend if you like horror games. Also the VR experience is AMAZING!
