I am absolutely floored with this game, and the direction this game took. I loved how creepy it was. There wasn't a thing I didn't enjoy about this game. I can't wait to get the DLC's to extend the game play. The found footage "Lost Tapes" makes for additional game play outside of the main character which broke up the story line a little bit, while offering exposition.

Yes I need a friend to play this game because it is that scary. It's not so much the pop up scares that get me, it's the overall environment and the noise that surrounds you. A simple cup falling off a table will leave you in suspense questioning if that was suppose to happen or if someone or something moved it. The atmosphere alone makes for a great horror expirence.

New feel for one of my favorite franchises! Moving through the environment gives you a erie feeling. Lots of gore, I appreciate the story!

Presentation - Great story blending RE story with Western horror elements. Graphics - Best looking in series. Creepy environments, house which give it the first RE vibe. Sound - Eerily sounds which match the surroundings & the door sound is similar to the older games. Gameplay - A departure from the third person, but first person is just as & maybe more terrifying.

Best RE game (IMHO) in a long long time. Fun puzzles creepy atmosphere.

Unlike most opinions I was fine with Resident Evil 5. It built upon the success of the 4th. The 6th entry tried to be 3 different things to appeal to fans of different opinions with mixed results. The 7th is like a soft reboot of the series. It succeeds in my opinion. The VR-mode is frightening in its own right and adds to the immersion. Check this game out for sure.

This is not only an excellent Resident Evil game - it's just an excellent game in general. It's very tense and scary. Capcom has once again re-invented the survival horror genre by switching to first person, but keeping a sense of charm and atmosphere that is hard to top. If you have any interest in survival horror, this is a game to get.

Fun game. It feels very realistic and scary when playing with the vr headset. It has a good story and my husband and i enjoyed this game.

I bought my PlayStation VR knowing in my mind that if done well it could bring first person style games to a whole new level of realism. One of the genres I knew that would benefit would be psychological horror and survival horror games. I've played most of the popular horror games out but nothing has ever made me feel creeped out of scared. After playing RE7 in VR I can truly say the immersiveness is unlike anything I've ever experienced in scary movies or games. I really felt anxious, nervous and afraid as if I were in a haunted house! Capcom did a great job putting the evil back in the Resident Evil franchise. At times I had to stop playing because my nerves needed a "breather" and my dry eyes needed to blink. I would also turn down the volume on my headphones just to lessen the oppressive feeling of dread the games atmosphere creates. So, do you like to be scared? If you do then all you need is a PS4, PSVR, good over-the-ear headphones and Resident Evil 7. Start the game at midnight, put on the VR headset, crank up the volume on the headphones and begin the twisted trip in to the frightening world of the Baker residence. Just remember to lock your doors before you start because if someone needs to touch you to get your attention then you may just have to change your underwear.

Resident Evil is back to its horror roots with Biohazard. I've been playing it on the VR, switching off with a couple friends, and it has actaully SCARED us. Departing from the shooter-centric direction R.E.'s last couple entries had taken, it finally comes back to an intense, desperate, horror game. I don't want to give out any spoilers, so just play this game!

I'm going to take Dramamine to play. It's super creepy. A must have.

One of the best VR games available. RE4 was a great shooter but RE7 goes back to the roots and is an awesome creepy horror experience playing in several houses located on the same property. The full game is in VR and so if you have the VR headset you shouldn't miss this one.

Good graphics and a great suspenseful and unpredictable story line!

I have been a huge fan since the beginning. When Resident Evil 6 came out I was so disappointed I didn't care if they made another entry. Here I am with Resident Evil 7 and I'm glad they did! It brings back the horror of the first games with a story that has you wanting more. Playing the game on Madhouse (without the circular saw) is the way to play the game!

This is a great game. Excellent graphics, great story, good sound.

I really enjoyed the way the developers shifted focus on the new game. The first person perspective makes the game a lot scarier in my opinion. It's a great mix of horror, adventure, and exploration. Almost has the Myst/Kings Quest adventure vibe mixed with first person horror. My only criticism is it starts very intense but loses momentum as it progresses.

Visuals/Audio: 9/10 Gameplay: 8/10 Story: 8/10 Replayable? 8/10
