Best RE game for years, Must play. Amazing graphics, Amazing story

I've always wanted to try this game with my PSVR and it's a great game to try out in VR and get ready for an immersive experience.

This an ok game is a good gifting you want the whole series. I would recommend the series to all that's loves these types of games

Resident Evil 7 is a good old fashion horror. What makes this one different from the rest it relies on actually being scary (almost like a Texas Chainsaw Massacre), then just throwing zombies at you. Like most Resident Evil games, your first play through may be a little on the long side, took me <10hrs to complete, however my following runs took <4hrs.

I love this game! Strange that it was in first person but it makes things so much scarier especially when certain enemies pop out to give you a surprise. They provided the same type of puzzle solving just like in the old games that was good to see. Game is a little short but it was worth every dollar. Graphics were amazing. Dlc are fun and recommended.

Wasn't sure about buying this, but they got back to basics and brought back the suspense in the game rather then just a shooter!

I have only used this in the VR mode although it can be played without a PSVR as well. Graphics were very good and while it is similar to other games in the franchise there is enough new stuff mixed in to satisfy newcomers and original fans alike. If you are a fan of horror, I think you will get your moneys worth of scares. A must buy for the PSVR.

I bought this game cuz I recently got the PSVR. Let's just say the game is scary on its own.... But it's terrifying while using the PSVR. I had no problems playing it for about an hour and a half while in VR mode. The controls are pretty intuitive and easy to get the hang of with VR too. Overall, definitely satisfied with the game.

Resident Evil 7 takes a different direction than the previous Resident Evil games. It is less action oriented, and in first-person. However, if it is a scary game you are looking for, this is it. There is nothing like playing it in VR on the PSVR, and at times it was so intense I had to stop and take a break. Highly recommended, especially in VR!

Resident Evil has returned to true form. If you loved the first 3-4 Resident Evils, then this is a must buy. The game has gone back to its roots as a scare-first, ammunition-conserving experience. The atmosphere in the game is amazing. The house is creepy as heck. The antagonists are fear-inducing. If you love survival horror... Get. This. Game.

Bought as a present for Christmas this year. Other people I have talked to really enjoyed this game, hence the 5 star rating.

I enjoy that the past gameplay has returned, and think that the switch to first person made moments in the game more intense.

Yup, this is the most suspenseful one yet and with VR yikes.

***disclaimer*** I have not yet completed play through This is a good game, but it's not really what Resident Evil fans have come to expect. I know it's billed as a return to RE's roots, and in some ways it is. The creepiness, the use of storage boxes in safe rooms to manage limited inventory, and even the save method of using cassette tapes (similar to the ink ribbons of the original) are all reminiscent of the first game. However, the first person perspective, completely new characters, lack of character development/background make it feel almost like a standalone game. There are really no references to the established RE world, and the boss fights are not fun. They are just annoying and ridiculous. There is also too much sneaking around and hiding from bad guys for my taste. A little bit I can see, but I'd prefer to simply take them out. I originally looked forward to the "return to roots" but found I actually like the evolution of the RE series and what it had become. The faster pace is missed for one, and above all, the inability to play this game cooperatively (online or off) with a friend really devalues the experience in my opinion. I had hours of fun with RE5 and RE6 because they were good games and even more so because I could experience them alone or with a buddy (remember knocking your teammate off the ladders over and over again?). This game doesn't have that. I am enjoying playing it, but it doesn't "call to me" when I'm not. I'd just as soon watch TV or go to bed early rather than play. Overall, not bad, but unless you're a diehard who needs to check it out immediately, I'd wait a few months for the price to come down before picking this one up.
