If you're a fan of old school Resident Evil or horror games in general, I would recommend this game. More so, if you own a Playstation VR or think about getting it, this is the game to use it for. In VR, there were moments where I really didn't want to go into a room. Highly recommend!

The first game in the series where the story actually seems to matter. I love all the other games in the series but it's so hard to take their stories seriously when they're SO cheesy. Everything else about 7 is top notch: graphics, controls, level design.

I was really excited for this game, because it seemed to be something different than the abysmal Resident Evil 6 which came out beforehand. I played the demo and it reminded me of Silent Hills' PT. Sadly however, the actual game didn't uphold the same level of quality. The game starts off strong with a gruesome "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" vibe which I really enjoyed, but it starts to fall apart a few hours into the game. Everything up to the boat scene is great, and then it seems like the creators didn't know where to go with it. The explanation behind the Baker's transformation was frustratingly boring and cliche. Other than the Bakers, you fight the same two enemies throughout the whole game (which seem to be re-skinned enemies from Revelations). Your character moves really slow, which makes the game more scary, but it also takes forever to get anywhere. God forbid you forget an item on the other side of the house. The ending of the game is a slap to the face of anyone who has worked there way up to that point. Very weak final boss. I would probably rate the game higher if it was longer, but I beat this game in seven hours (which is really low, since I take my time when gaming). Overall, it is a lot better than Resident Evil 6, but that's not saying much. I would wait until it's twenty dollars, or rent it.

Great gameplay and atmosphere that has been lacking in a resident evil title in a long time.

It does justice to its name, finally being a horror game. Hard to review a game, but it’s a lot of fun to play, especially if you can create a dark atmosphere with proper sound and HD.

Amazing game, loved every second of the game. While the resolution takes a hit in VR mode it is definetly worth the experience. In addition, this is not typical resident evil story but anyone who played the resident evil series before, will recognize resident evil trademark story.

Most wanted game this year. Tried the VR demo and it was absolutely amazing. In 4K on the PS4 Pro, it looks great and plays really well. Love how scary the game is and the setting is very creepy. Much different than any other Resident Evil games that have come out. Highly recommend!!

This game is SO good. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and I didn't even play it in VR. I huge fan of survival horror games and this game is my new favorite! It's very different than all the other RE games but in a great way! Buy this game and play it with the lights out!

Have not been this afraid playing a game since the days of Silent Hill on the PS2! Esp in VR this game is straight up creepy. Play it with the lights off for the best effect! Only short coming is that it could have been a little longer than 10 hours..... But still Amazing experience!

This game is diffrent from the previous Resident Evil. This one is more intense. Supplies are scarece and you have to make do with what you got. It reminds me a little of Until Dawn.

Me and my oldest kids 15 and 17 were able to palate 5-8 mins at a time . I'm going have to invest in dramamine to play in future. The settings need to be adjusted on Vr mode too since it's very jerky when you turn your head. BUT the game is so worth it . Scary creepy, unique. Beware

After playing it for a few hours I was relieved when I took the PSVR off and saw that I was back in my living room and not at the crazy place where a girlfriend and her family were attacking... Probably the best resident evil I've played because of how realistic it is with a PSVR.

I usually don't buy Resident Evil games, but I do not regret buying this one. I love it!

If you are looking for a classic style RE game this is not it. As a stand alone game this game is great. And TERRIFYING. Legitimately have to play some parts during the day with the lights on. Plenty of scary parts plus plenty of jump scares just when you think they are done.

Re7 was an unexpected hit to me, it's departure from many series staples was at first hard to take in but the story kept me interested and the mechanics were intuitive. Easter eggs throughout & great characters, by the end you see the connection to the other games of the series.

so,,, be forewarned- this game is FPS not like other RE games. I play it with the PSVR and it's absolutely terrifying. seriously, from the beginning, the difficulty and gameplay is so intense, I sometimes have to take a break from it. overall, the best RE game I've played!

Haven't played this but the videos I've seen looks good. Bought for a Christmas present

Although I can not bring myself to play this game on my own this game is an experience of its own and would recommend to anyone who has a vr system. This game is a must have for vr and even if you arent a fan of the horror genre you will still have fun
