This game is definitely a must have if you have the VR and play it through to the end like I have. Appropriate jump scares that I believe have a greater impact if you played through the VR. Also lots of replay value with just the standalone game itself even before the DLC!!!

I've never experienced the horror I felt while playing this game. I can't count the times I've jumped in fear, there's so much tension that it becomes exhausting. Play at night with the lights off and make sure the kids are asleep because this game will give them nightmares.

Although I can not bring myself to play this game on my own this game is an experience of its own and would recommend to anyone who has a vr system. This game is a must have for vr and even if you arent a fan of the horror genre you will still have fun

The Resident Evil series has long been the subject of clashing opinions by its massive fan base. The not-so-recent changes since Code Veronica, and (much more so drastic changes in) Resident Evil 4 marked a shift to a more focused games ever since. The action focus had a new fanbase, but older fans of the series yearned for a return to the survival horror and tension-filled moments of the earlier games. Resident Evil VII: Biohazard is that return to the classic feel the first few games instilled in the minds of many gamers. Yet it manages to feel fresh and new with the first person perspective and visual fidelity. It's a beautiful game with plenty of action, combined with tense and eerie moments, exploration, and a real feeling of survival. It does have a few issues, but they are far from enough to warrant any of the hate some others seem to have expressed. If you are into survival horror, this is a game for you.

RE7 changes direction and was made with VR in mind. It feels like you're actually in the game and trying to survive which is good considering they returned to the root of survival horror. If you were thinking of getting PSVR, this should put you over the fence and get it.

I purchased this game specifically to use with the PS4 VR headset. This game has amazing detail with or without using the VR feature. The only downfall is that the game play does seem fairly short ( my husband was able to beat the game from start to finish in 1 day).

Sometimes you can get stuck in weird spots so save as often as possible. The game itself is great and still gives me a scare here and there. I love the walker right at the beginning when you're not really paying attention!

The game is pretty scary, especially in VR. However, the game is a little bit short. While the game is a return to the way Resident Evil was from the start, being more puzzle heavy, I feel that a change into first person aspect makes it better. I also like how this game has a new game+ option after completion, which seems a little rare these days with developers, but it makes sense for this game. I had a great time with this one.

Excellent game. From start to finish, this game excels in telling a great story while keeping the tension and horror factor up and kicking. The DLC has thus far been disappointing, but the game itself has been excellent. Very high replay value and great reward system.

Great storyline and playability, you will always find something to do in this game

Definitely a must have if you are a fan of the genre or survival horror. Keeps you on edge with its great sound design and art direction. It's jump scary. Just enough gore. Limited inventory adds more 'realistic' frustration. The VR is a great party favor but the down res and limited content leaves much to be desired for an extended gaming experience. All in all, totally worth it if you are into these kind of games.
