This game is very different from previous Resident Evil titles, but I found it to be as frightening as my first experience with RE. It's new and enjoyable when you play the game with the mindset that it's not really like the previous titles.

I will preface this by saying that I haven't played all the games in this franchise--only the first and this most recent installment. But this game felt like the first one to me in a lot of important ways, having heard how over-the-top and action-driven the middle of the series gets. That said, this game was everything I wanted it to be. Tense, well-paced, puzzle-filled (although I wouldn't have minded them harder and more of them), and a whole lot of fun. It is a short game (it took me ~12 hours), but it's worth playing multiple times for the collectibles and the challenge of Madhouse mode. I also did not play in VR, and although there were several moments that I think would have been particularly effective in VR, I don't feel that I missed out by playing it without the headset. Overall, a very entertaining experience.

I am a huge resident evil fan so when a new game was available I had to have it. I recently purchased a PlayStation vr, wow what a gaming experience.

RE7 starts strong with a well developed setting and interesting characters. The atmosphere is great. The gameplay is mostly enjoyable save for a few minor annoyances. Unfortunately, everything I liked about the beginning of the game changes about halfway through. It feels like it was rushed during development.

This is one of the best horror games to come out in recent history and it is absolutely a must buy with its great replayability of the madhouse difficulty that changes the enemy locations and turns out the intensity to 11. Buy this game!!!

My wife got me a PSVR for my birthday so I had to have RE7 for PS4. This version is far superior to the X1 version. The VR experience had me feeling scared and sick. Not because of the VR but because of the atmosphere of the actual game.

I hate madden but my little brother wanted it for Christmas. This was a great price i don't feel like i was cheated out of my money. Thanks Best Buy

Capcom did a really good job with this game. It feels like Resident Evil 1 again, complete with a spooky mansion and abstract puzzles. I'm playing this game exclusively in VR, and I gotta say, the glasses really help with the immersion. I've only played a couple of hours so far, but am looking forward to seeing how the story plays out, as well as experiencing the game further with DLC.

Resident Evil 7 is a great game and I love that it is taking the RE series back to it's roots. I would have given it 5 stars, but it was a little short in my opinion and only offers minimal replay value as there isn't much difference in the multiple endings. However, it does offer some small perks for beating multiple times. It was still loads of fun to play with and I would recommend.

This game did a good job of recapturing some of the feelings of the original resident evil game. The first half of the game is very good. Gets off the rails a bit toward the end but still very good.

This game is really good when you play it on vr, it can really get scary really quick!!! I'm still playing the game piece by piece as I am scared as a little girl to walk-in the dark rooms. Overall, the game is a must have for PS4.

Res7 is a great horror game and most original in the franchise.
