Yes, I've also played 1-6 and this is the best one, even over 1-3 which I considered to be the best prior to 7. I've started to lose all hope after 4-6 but they brought the horror back. Don't listen to anyone complaining about how this is not Resident Evil. This game can be completed within a few hours but trust me, your first or thorough run with last anywhere from 6-10 hours and you will play it more than once, especially since you unlock certain items after every difficulty completion.

Wasn't sure what to expect but the graphics are incredible, the gameplay is easy to understand, and the story is great.

So far so good. Splash of exorcist with a hint of the film The Crazies. Graphics & atmosphere are top notch. Must buy.

A great throwback for fans that had the dump scared out of them by the first Resident Evil but also does great as a standalone game for those that haven't played the previous games. The story is a bit rushed at first but once you set foot in the mansion it is non-stop scares and fun. Can be hard for those not familiar with the item management of Resident Evil games, but you learn quick to make every shot count. Lots of replay value between the unlockable items and the coming DLC.

Good graphics, interesting story. Good scares all around. Lots of difficult/interesting puzzles. 10/10 would recommend

This is a great return back to the series roots. A few hours in and the game has given me that uncomfortable freaky feeling more than once. Lots of scares in this game. Survival horror game at its finest.

The action started right away and I was loving it but just as I thought I had the game beaten, it took a ridiculous twist and made no sense. Just made me lose all interest. I would still recommend it for how much I liked it up till that point.

Core game is a complete throwback to the days of old horror films. Fast paced action is gone and replaced with a steady feeling of tension and claustrophobia. Similar to Alien: Isolation in many ways.

Resident Evil 7 is a new and refreshing take on the series that has been in the gutter for so many years. The game is in first person this time around, and the creepy and highly detailed environments from the first few games have returned, but now in a beautiful 3d engine. You will be tormented and hunted by a infected family as you develop the story and make your way around their premises to new areas, and solve puzzles like in the originals. There are other enemies besides the family but unfortunately NO ZOMBIES. If there were zombies it would be like a beautiful 2016 first person version of the original RE. A very good and technically beautiful game. Just. Wish. It. Had. Zombies...

Awesome game to play late at night with the lights off. The gameplay is good and intense. Great story line.

This game more or less did away with the recent styling of action, and goes back to the horror original idea.
