It didn't exactly receive the greatest reviews, but I enjoyed this 'final' installment (how many times have we heard that one with movie franchises!?). If you're a fan of Jovovich and this series, there's certainly much to like. The plot has some interesting aspects regarding a serum that can supposedly save the world and there's plenty of action. It's not the most colorful or super-sharpest film, but having a native 4k digital intermediate definitely helps this film look pretty excellent overall on 4k UHD. The sound is top-notch and very immersive. Get it if you're a fan of these films...

This is a very good movie by itself but it is a disappointment for real Resident Evil fans like me. There are many places in the storyline that contradict to the previous Resident Evil movies. Although it tries to explain and make connection to the previous stories, it stretches too much and leads to a disappointment. In addition, too much one-to-one combat which is not US style but more like Chinese movies. When I check out the tickets sold, indeed this movie is very popular in China. I think the producer and director intentionally did that to capture Chinese market this time.

The movie is average. It's a only a must watch for RE movie fans to see finally ends. Other than that, you can skip it if you never seen the whole franchise movies.

So many movies with this franchise and it has finally ended. Overall, I didn't hate this take on Resident Evil, but it mainly feels like Resident Evil in just name only.

If this truly is the final Resident Evil movie, they, somewhat, redeemed themselves. I know the movies never followed the storyline in the games, but in some of them, they went so far off the rails, they become more fodder than anything. This movie ties up a lot of loose ends and answers most questions, but not all. I thought it was actually one of the better movies in the series. Given that the first was the best, this would be the next best one, in my opinion. Take that with a grain of salt considering what these movies are about :)

Now, to review the Blu-Ray itself, the sound and quality of the disc is quite good. Most transfers I see and hear are always from great to excellent. But if I was asked about the movie on the disc, Resident Evil The Final Chapter, I give the movie about 2 stars out of 5. I've seen all 6 movies and the first and last ones are probably the best in the series, at least for me. I prefer The Walking Dead tv series, which has many of the same elements of these movies, except that the tv show is much better.

the story was changed for this movie. including the Birkin plot from the second movie. it made the experience to the end very confusing. I felt that it was a rushed into production with a totally new story and forgetting the previous films including Wesker. it left me with too questions than it answered. I bought this movie to complete the series so I can't completely regret that decision. I would ask why they changed the story and only kept a few to the previous installments of the series.

Another Good Resident Evil movie. Being a lover of Resident Evil movies, I of course got this one. I always like seeing how they get Alice out of each ending they place her in. After the last movie, I really wondered how they would get her out of that situation. They did and this new movie really does continuing the great series of movies. There were from really nice touches in this new movie that I really liked. The ending is like so many Resident Evil movies in that it's a "life goes on" type of ending but with a more upbeat "feel" to it. A must have addition to your Resident Evil movie collection!

I was looking forward to this movie to finish off my set and was not expecting it to be this good. Without telling of plot lines and cool movie action sequences, know it is near the fun that the first movie was with the same intense action, the thrills of zombies at every turn, a great movie. The visuals, being on 4K, are perfection, and there are some amazing special effects to be seen. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Saw this in the theaters and it is an absolutely amazing conclusion to a long awesome series of movies. Was kind of concerned at how they were going to end the series but pleasantly surprised with what they came up with. I bought this for my fiancé who is absolutely obsessed with all the games and movies. Cannot beat $4.99 on I believe it was Black Friday but it could’ve been cyber Monday for a newly released movie! However I was disappointed that the Blu-ray was only available in stores. I was at work and by the time I got off those were long gone.

This movie might have not gotten the best reviews but it's not as bad as people make it out to be as it's the final chapter it definitely completes the resident evil franchise and if you have the rest of them on Blu-ray or 4K you will add this one to the collection, it has a good amount of features and just enough extras to keep you entertained after finishing the last film of the franchise so trust me it's not the best but it's not the worst just watch it to enjoy it not to look for flaws and you will have a fun time.

In this latest chapter of the resident Evil franchise the action doesn't disappoint. It reunites Claire Redfield(Ali Larter) and Alice(Milla Jovovich). Picking up where Retribution left off in D.C. Only issue so have with my purchase is the cover art. I expected much more especially after the release of the other steelbooks. I am very disappointed at the lazy and dull design.

I know many didn't like the Resdient Evil movies because they don't follow the game. I enjoy the films and see them as their own unique thing. Retribution was quite the high for the series as for The Final Chapter the action is there but there was a lot left hanging. Many questions never answered it was an enjoyable film but didn't have the satisfying close I was hoping for.

Although this is the last of the series, its still a fun addition to the resident evil series. There is a lot of action to keep viewer interested. They do try to complete the storyline of the series by having enough references to prior films. If you liked the previous films this should be a completion to the series. Just enough new storyline to keep viewer interested.

This is bar far the best movie in the 6-movie franchise. The cinematography is great and it wraps up the story in explosive - yet satisfying - fashion. If you're a die hard fan of the movie franchise, this is the movie you've been waiting for since the first one. If you're a die hard fan of the video game series, you'll probably still hate this movie. If you're not a fan of either the movies or video games, then don't bother with this movie because it'll be a total waste of your time.

This is the sort of film you will like or hate. It is in the style of previous films in the series, and Milla is very good as Alice. It suffers from camera moves and fast edits. Some edits are several a second. Because of the cutting, it is hard to follow some of the fights, particularly early on. I would have gone with 3 1/2 stars if I could, rather than 4.

Continues the next morning from the events that occurred in D.C from Retribution. Project Alice(Milla Jovovich) the only apparent survivor from the battle in D.C. Ada Wong(Bingbing Li), Jill Valentine(Sienna Guillory), Leon S. Kennedy(Johann Urb) & Becky(Aryana Engineer) the last survivors at the end of Retribution are no where to be found so I'm assuming they are either dead or have been experimented on. BingBing didn't return because she was doing another movie in China. We do get Claire Redfield back in this final Installment which was pretty satisfying to see. As for Chris Redfield(Wentworth Millar) his where abouts are unknown. Last time he was seen was in Afterlife(2010). Either he was experimented on or dead as well. An explanation would of been nice. Only reason I gave this an average three star rating was because I expected way more cover art that what the final result ended up looking like. The past five films got great detailed cover art. My question is what happen with the last one!?

As a conclusion (supposedly) to the movie series, this Resident Evil was a decently fun ride. Not as boring as the last one - this one kept my interest. New zombie/monsters, Alice's acrobatic/creative skills were fun to watch as she eliminates the undead. Nothing new in the plot department really - just enjoy the action as Alice tries to end Umbrella.

I like the series of movies but I think they are starting to get to the end

It is the closing of the Resident Evil Franchise. The Retaliation version of the movie is an excellent touch. The bonus features are solid and the interviews with the cast and crew are both entertaining and insightful. A bonus features about the vehicles and the makeup effects would be excellent additions to round out the product.
