Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the excellent gameplay, immersive story, and effective horror elements as significant strengths of Resident Evil Village. Many also praise the game's atmosphere and sound design, contributing to a compelling experience. While some found the difficulty challenging and the game shorter than anticipated, positive feedback on the action and replay value outweighs these concerns. The overall impression is one of a highly enjoyable game with a few minor drawbacks.

Good RE game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great resident evil game, really enjoyed the setting & the story, by far my second favorite RE game. Graphics are phenomenal on the PS5 everything runs smoothly. It is short but all RE games are like that, Haven't had the chance to replay yet since I have a enormous backlog but will comeback later down the road.

Great Game For Horror Fans
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only played a few Resident Evil games, but I absolutely love this game. Th look and feel of this game was a lot of fun. It has a great story, action/puzzles, and sound design. If you are looking for a scary game to play, I highly recommend this one. If you want a more action-packed FPS, then look elsewhere.

Lady D! Resident Evil is back once again
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing new entry into the Resident Evil franchise once again. I am so loving these new first-person entries just like how I enjoyed 7. If you haven't tried this, you really should. Terribly scary and great characters (Lady D :))

Forget What You Think You Know
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a longtime Resident Evil fan, I hold this series close to my heart. I almost wrote off the franchise after the horrible Resident Evil 6. Then in 2017, Resident Evil 7 was released and proved that it can be fun and scary. When Resident Evil Village was announced in 2020, I was hooked by the gothic village with the menacing castle backdrop. Cut to today. I LOVED this game! Village is a bog game to explore and has a compelling story. It's brilliant how they managed to weave classic monster tropes such as vampires, werewolves, and a version of Frankenstein into this game without breaking the trend of past Resident Evil games. What I loved more is that they brought back the long-missing Mercenaries mode that had been missing from past games for years. I also HIGHLY recommend that you play this game with a headset on for the full effect. There's one level that is TERRIFYING because of the sound effects. After this game, I don't know how Capcom is going to follow up with Resident Evil 9 but I am looking forward to it.

Great Resident Evil title
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game having played the first Maiden demo on PS5. The visuals are great and the gameplay is really good as well. Like Resident Evil 7 before it the game is still in the third person. For better or worse the third person view seems to be in the past for mainline games (we'll see about any new Resident Evil Chronicles title). The atmosphere and storytelling are really good though and worth playing. As far as story it plays off of the events of Resident Evil 7 as a follow-up taking place with the same main character, Ethan. I won't give away any spoilers, but it is possible to play this game with no knowledge of the past game. For gameplay there are many thematic scripted events and ammo seems to be more abundant than in past games. All around I'm a fan of the changes though I can see how fans of some of the survival elements of the past could be a little disappointed. In spite of that I still highly recommend grabbing this game, especially if you're a fan of the series, or just enjoy a good thematic game.

RE village review
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Resident evil village is another fantastic entry in the resident evil franchise. Although not as jumpy as resident evil 7, resident evil 8 still has great monster design and beautiful graphics engine to compliment. The story was captivating and motivated me to keep going to unravel the mystery.

RE4-like fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you enjoyed Resident Evil 7 and enjoyed Resident Evil 4, this game is for you. Although Village is more focused on action compared to RE 7, the few horror moments in this game really leave an impression. The over the top action and dialogue make this a very fun entry in the RE franchise.

I thought I didn't like First Person Horror Games
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Boy, yet another game I was wrong about. Classic RE is one of my favorite games ever and the remake of part 2 blew me away. When I saw this game, I was at first put off by it being in first person and a continuation of the last game. But this game is amazing. There isnt a lot of flat out scary moments in this game, but the whole thing feels like a tribute. A tribute to Resident Evil, and a tribute to all the big horror genres. This has quickly become my second favorite entry in the series. The gameplay is tight and the puzzles are fun. The story and characters actually keep you invested and the environments are awesome. I didn't have any motion sickness at all with this (which sometimes happens to me in firat peraon games), and the as I saod before the settings were great. Some more so than others to be sure, but this game was a definite highlight of the games I played last year.
