Resident Evil Village

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I preordered this game as soon as I finished RE2, but the a friend told me that it was connected to RE7, so I recommend that you play that one prior to this one. My favorite RE game is still RE2, but this one was somehow at the same level, maybe because of the power of the PS5. I played RE7 the day before release, and then I got the release day shipping just as I was finishing the other game, so props to Best buy For that.

Amazing Game

Not quite as scary as I would expect from a Resident Evil game considering I've been playing them since 1996 but still a solid engaging titled. I was worried that moving away from zombies and into the paranormal wouldn't work for the franchise but after two decades of zombies it's a welcome change. If you're on the fence about the game I'd say just go for it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Continues 3 years after RE7 left off. Difficulty is challenging and tons of backtracking once you find items. I would recommend to anyone who is fan of the series.
