Great game with awesome graphics BUT REALLY HARD. Be ready for a challenge if you get this one.

This game is stupid hard. But also stupid fun. I cant put it down. Definitely worth the purchase But i wish it had a proper save system.

An excellent game, if a bit hard. Not a traditional rogue-like but shares many of the same elements. The story progresses as you hit certain checkpoints. Sometimes every run, sometimes several runs in between. It also lacks the "you get better upgrades" every run feel of a standard rogue-like. But the 3rd person action is fantastic. The game feels great (when your not ready to smash your controller) and the story is quite interesting

Returnal is a fast paced shooter rogue-like. You try to blitz your way through areas on a single life with no saves and level up your character and weapons to take on harder and harder challenges. If you die, time loops and you are back at your ship ready for another run. It is a super addicting game and each run you do better and better as you master weapons and skills and unlock permanent abilities to help you traverse the unique biomes.

Returnal is a challenging, interesting entry to the Playstation 5 lineup. Being one of the first PS5 exclusive games I was a bit worried about the quality and gameplay, but it ended up being a mysterious, tense journey through an alien planet with quite a few surprising changes along the way. While I haven't beat the game I cannot judge it for its story. The gameplay, however, is pretty fun! I recommend PS5 owners looking to play a true PS5 game that is a bit challenging to pick this up, even if the price is a bit steep.

Despite what I originally thought, Returnal is better described as more of a bullet hell arcade game than it is third person shooter and because of that, it ended up being way better than I expected! They did a great job blending 3D third person gameplay with what is more traditionally a 2D bullet hell and it came out fantastic!

Excellent game if you are up for a challenge and enjoy the randomness of rogue-lite games with a bit of steady progression. Audio design is top notch and incredibly immersive when using a headset. Currently the best PS5 exclusive, even including the new Ratchet and Clank. That said, charging $70 for new games is ridiculous. Wait for this game - and any other $70 new title - to go on sale no matter how interested you are.

One of the best PS5 games I've played so far. If you like a challenge in your games today, and not something that is going to hold your hand, give this a try. Very very Alien like mystery and art style. The controls are ultra smooth, and the game is very fair. You can only blame yourself for deaths, and need to get better if you ever get stuck.

Returnal, despite its lackluster name, is a fantastic experience, and I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s challenging yet Returnal. The co-op feature is very well done. Definitely more entertaining playing with a friend. As of this writing, my favorite PS5 game.

I love this game!!! This is my first roguelike and when I found out what that was I just knew it wasnt for me. After reading so many positive reviews I decided to give it a whirl and was immediately hooked. Dying and starting over made me wanna play it more and try harder. I would suggest if you're on the fence like I was to give it a go, but when it's on sale of course lol

The visuals look amazing. It’s a bit on the difficult side. Good action gameplay

Imo this is a must have game. The only thing to be aware of is that there isn't a traditional way to save progress. Instead, when you die or quit the game you restart a time loop that the main character is stuck in and trying to escape. As you get further into the story and defeat bosses shortcuts will be unlocked so you don't have to do everything over again. I hope this game sells well and gets the audience it deserves

This is like a mix of doom eternal and hades wrapped in the best graphics I’ve ever seen on a console. The story is immersive and the gameplay is fast and smooth. It is challenging to start, but once you understand the enemies you’ll appreciate the challenge even more and be able to dive into the story. I’ve beaten this game several times and put in over 50 hours and cannot imagine stopping anytime soon.

If you’re looking for something jam packed with action and quite a challenge then this is for you! This is a excellent showcase for the power or the PS5 and whats to come from PlayStation Studios. The gameplay loop is so addictive and makes you want to get better and better after every run! This is not your average game and it’s not for the faint of heart. It’s quite the challenge. 5/5 highly recommended!
