Addictive and extremely difficult but rewarding for pushing through. If you like Rouge-like games like Dark Souls, Hades, Dead Cells, Rogue Legacy with a little Metroid Prime and horror elements thrown in, you'll enjoy Returnal!

Great gameplay, great visuals. Fast paced and a takes alittle to get use to but its worth a pick up.

Amazing atmosphere and graphics. The audio is unreal with solid headphones. The game is hard tho. Unapologetically hard. Lesser gamers will be quick to hit a progression wall, but persistence pays off.

I like this game, the graphics are good, story is good, its not too complicated with the controller for an old gamer like me (I can’t stand it when you can literally do over 100 different things with a controller, I panic and die just trying to aim and shoot, even on easy mode, then I feel stoopid). But, when you die, you end up back at the beginning, and just because you get a little more video, or a tad more information this time around, it’s crazy annoying to go through the whole thing again. I may just suck and have not gone far enough to reach any type of save point, but after playing for an hour or so, I would think a save point is warranted, unless I just suck at this game. Lol.

I should've done more research for this game before I bought it. I've never heard or even played rogue like games, which this game is considered. I didn't know what I've gotten myself into. I put in about 6 hours of game play and haven't even made it to the first boss. There no checkpoints or options to save the game, when you die you have to start all over again, this game is REALLY hard. The game mechanics and graphics are beautiful, the game make good use of the controller's haptic feedback, the sound is amazing with the headset which gives you a full immersion experience. In order to enjoy this game, one has to be patient and have the discipline to grind it thru.

If you dont like hard games, this isnt the game for you. If you love a challenge, fast paced action, and games that sound amazing through your surround sound system, this is the game for you!

This is my first type of rouge like game I’ve played and this game is pretty cool. The game is quite difficult and it does get a little getting used to with the pacing and mechanics, One thing that may turn people off is the lack of saving, so if someone were to die, they’d have to start over from the beginning with a couple of things that they can keep. This game isn’t for everyone but if you know what you’re in for. This is actually a really decent game, good gameplay, fast action. I don’t really think the story is really told that well but I have more to complete in the game. Also I’d say to wait when this game is on sale, I don’t see this game being $70US

I love this game! A rogue like souls like bullet hell! It’s fairly difficult but once you get the idea it becomes very fun!

Good use of adaptive triggers (best of all PS5 games imo). Great rogue-lite with good between-run upgrades that make progression feel good. Note that, because it's a rogue-lite that means it's run-based so you will die and reset run progress and start over so if that's a make-or-break feature to you, know it's in here (but I still think it offers enough between run progress to not make it feel as bad as something like more traditional rogue-lite like Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon). Housemarque is always a great studio and nice to see what they make. I would say don't pick up outside of a sale ($70 for any of these games is too far for me tbh).

What do you get when you mix in Alien movie atmosphere with Metroid Prime game play and sprinkle in rogue-like elements? Returnal. Must buy if you like single player FPS.

This is a really solid game. I've been waiting for something original on the PS5 and this is a worthy entry. If you're into roguelike style games, this will be right up your alley. Awesome sound and visual design on top of it.

This game is very addictive and very hard. There’s a little bit of learning curve to understand how the game works. But once you get the hang of it it’s very fun.
