Never got my pre-order code. Went to the store twice to figure out why. Not a single employee there (manager or cash register employee) was able to direct me nor do anything for me. I ended up returning who knows how many calls to get NOTHING. Just a very VERY bad experience since this is my first pre-order w BestBuy.. IS DEFINITELY FAR FROM BEING THE BEST. Moral of the story: NEVER EVER PRE-ORDER A THING W BESTBUY (OOPS TYPO -> WORSEBUY)

Love it! Very fast game…lsarning the maps but all good

Honestly lackluster. Not intriguing at all. Every time you die you restart it could have been executed better

Did not work properly with my console. I was not allowed to return it. I was only allowed to to replace it with another copy. Total waste of money.

I tried but just couldn't get into this game. I found it boring and not interesting. Played about 20hrs and didn't like it

Really bad story game. Graphics are not that great. You die and keep going back to the same place over and over again.

Just got the platinum so I figured I'd drop a review. The game looks and controls great I didn't find it difficult at all but can definitely see people having a hard time till they figure out the game mechanics. When you figure out what you should be picking up it's pretty easy. Every time you die you lose pretty much everything except a few certain things and start over although there is a checkpoint like halfway through the game when you make it that far you start from this area. Good variety of weapons and items and a pretty interesting story, overall It was a solid experience

Mean what I wrote on the title. Phenomenal gameplay, control, story & combat. This game is not for newbies or those that are timid. If you’ve turned this game on, give it a chance. It gets easier. This game will surprise you and wanting to keep coming back for more.

This game is beautiful. The music is incredible. The story is really cool. It’s VERY hard. The people giving it one star probably couldn’t make it passed the first biome. If you like games like hades or dead cells, you’ll love this really cool take on a sci-fi roguelike title. As of writing I’m stuck on the second boss. This game forces you to either git gud or give up. I’m not a fan of the latter.

Returnal is an incredible game, and a serious contender for game of the year. You will die A LOT, but each blistering playthrough feels unique and surprising. When you're playing this game and things are going your way, and you're building your adrenaline by killing enemies without getting hit, constantly making yourself more and more powerful with new weapons and powerups--it's euphoric, and addictive. Because even though you've been killed over and over, you KNOW you can defeat that one boss if you just try one more time. Returnal is not for everyone. It is HARD. It will seriously test your skill as a player, and you will have to give it every piece of your attention if you want to succeed. But it is exhilarating in ways few AAA games are. And it is aesthetically immaculate, to boot. Incredible visuals, sound & music design, haptic feedback design. It checks every box. I don't anticipate beating Returnal any time soon, but I do know it's a game I'll keep coming back to. This is the real PS5 system seller, if you ask me.

After hours and hours of play and being frustrated with the format (losing everything once you die), I decided to not judge a book by its cover and only give a review after having beaten the game. I’ve beaten the game and here’s my review. The pros: the graphics are absolutely incredible. I played the game on a 65” OLED and it was stunning to watch. The haptic feedback on the controller was amazing. You could feel the rain drops and vibrations as you navigated through the game. The weapons are pretty cool and reminded me of the game Dead Space which I loved. The cons: each run through the biomes/levels is incredibly long. Attempts to push through without first repeating everything you have already done will set you up for failure, dying and repeating again with the basic crappy weapon. So expect hours for some runs to guarantee a fighting chance for each boss. So what do you get for spending hours building up your character and purchasing an extra life and upgrades and maxing out health and finally beating a boss? (third boss I believe) A cool weapon?? A bonus armor upgrade?? Spoiler alert***No, you crash and start over again losing everything, map all cleared and back with the basic crappy weapon and with 33% health. That’s right, not full health even. 33%. Now I understand the game is designed to be if you die you start from scratch. But, beating a boss you shouldn’t be penalized for winning. The game crashed on me several times into long runs wiping out all progress and starting me over from the beginning. Once I got to the final boss, I didn’t even realize it was the final boss. I was sure there was more game left because there are a ton of sections you can’t access without a certain feature which is not unlocked till very late on in the game. But no, you are expected to do that after you beat the game which is pointless. Then the final cut scene explaining the story which in my opinion was horrible. And what do you get for beating the game? A cool new weapon? A fancy armor? Nope...back to the beginning with everything erased. If I just had to rate the graphics and controller integration I would give it a 5 but too many terrible aspects of the game brought it down to a 2. I would not recommend this game to anyone.

I received Game with a broken case and paper incert was cut, and game wasn't sealed

This game is awesome it's challenging and but not so challenging that you want to rage quit . I am not usually a big fan of rouge like games but this one just hits the right spots for me. If you are a big Metroidvania fan then this game will scratch any itch you have. I wish the runs were broken up a little bit instead of watching four hours of game play be washed away because of some stupid mistakes but it does not stop me from starting right back and diving into another run the weapons and perks are original and the attributes change each weapon so you do t feel like it's the same ol weapon every time all in all it's a great ps5 game and the haptic feedback on the triggers and other things they did to take advantage of the next gen is just the best

I loved this gam. Any games that allow you to dash dodge and duck through tough gameplay and look stylish doing it such as ninja gaiden black series, bayonetta, devil may cry etc. are type of games I really enjoy. This is not those games, however the style of Battle in the game is great to look at with all the colorful bullets and such. Now you can save. That was main issue at launch for the casual gamers not willing to leave console in rest mode. I loved it. Only thing I didn’t like was the launch price of 70 bux. Will get used to that I guess because all games will be this price eventually. Get it on sale and you’re golden.

I did not play this game when it initially released, and I hear it was not in its best state at the time. But when I did play it in the summer of 2022, I felt it would've been worth every penny it asked for. It's easily one of the best PlayStation 5 games. Makes good use of the Dualsense, great graphics and one of the best controlling shooters I've played. If there is a sequel for this I'm getting it day 1.

I was able to play this game as soon as it came out and man, this game is amazing. The graphics are stunning and the games story really sucks you in! The game is a breathe of fresh air!

Very challenging, but also fair and my personal GOTY so far. Controls are some of the tightest you’ll ever experience. Deathloop may overtake it but I haven’t beaten it yet. Beat 6th biome/game then rebeat all 6 again for the secret ending in about 25 hours and 18 deaths. Never had a run that took more than 2 hours, so the no save thing isn’t that huge of a deal honestly. Deathloop doesn’t have manual saves either.

Managed to pick this game up in the morning of release day as i've been looking forward to it for some time. Man the graphics are incredible, the gameplay is fun & very challenging, the story is intriguing & different. Highly recommend!!!

I first discovered this game company at the launch of the PS4. I am 50 and love arcade shooters. Resogun was one of my favorite games on PS4. This game is a marvel of modern gaming. The colors are incredible on my oled. The HDR is incredible. If you enjoy bullet hell then this one is for you.

This is a great amazing PS5 exclusive. It is a rogue like game where whenever you die you have to start from the beginning again. The game is difficult but that’s what makes it so addicting. Sony does it again with another awesome exclusive.
