I was excited when I first heard the new single. I though they'd be going back to the bratty, snarling sound that helped them breakthrough. But this is about half and half. I understand they're older now, but it doesn't mean they can't write the way they used to.

Real nice new effort from a perennially great band!

Need to give it more listens, but the album itself is decent. I like the second half of the album a bit more, despite the lead single being in the first half... not really any stand out tracks, but a good rocker of an album.

It's not a bad album, but "good" seems too congratulatory. This won't win Green Day any new fans. It fits with Uno, Dos, and Tre for sound and quality of writing. That's what I've got.

Being a GD fan since 92. Was expecting something waaaay better. Too similar as the trilogy. Wasnt very surprised. I little underwhelmed. I hope they dont suck live next year!

Well like I said good wake up music but slightly abrasive it just seems to sound the same with these guys. I need to hear it again. Before I can give it an honest review.

Ever since American Idiot all Green Day songs sound like B-sides to that album. I thought they would try and change their sound a little for this album but they didn't.
