I’ve had a few Rexing dash cams on various cars and decided it was time to upgrade an older one I had. This new dash cam has impressive resolution and is very easy to install running it through the trim of the car for both front and rear cameras.
The added cellular connectivity is nice but I probably won’t use it after the free trial ends. The only downside is the lack of a screen to show video but you can view it on your phone once the cameras are positioned to your liking. It’s actually better without a display in the long run as it’s one less distraction on the road.
I’d recommend this dash cam to anyone looking for a quality front and rear camera that has added features such as parking monitor.

I've had a Rexing dashcam in my truck for 5 years now. I got this one for my wife for her Jeep for Christmas. The front camera resolution at 2.5K is a great improvement allowing for better reading of license plates. I really appreciate that it just plugs into the ODB-II port. That kept me from having to try and wire it to the fuse box (under the hood in a Jeep). The compact design of this camera is great as well. Takes up a lot less space in the windshield and the settings and videos are easy to access with your phone over wi-fi or cellular. It's a great value for the quality and it's nice that includes a starter SD card and the wire kit. Great purchase to give ourselves a little more piece of mind.

I've been a longtime Rexing customer. Their product quality isn't in question - the dashcams always product high quality pictures and work reliably.
The thing that was new about this product for me was the addition of the cell phone connection. It's a really nice security feature to be able to view your recordings remotely. I do think that the cell phone plan it includes means that you're a little bit limited as to how much footage you can upload and access, but for proper emergencies (like your car gets stolen), it's a useful tool in your toolbelt.

This is my second Rexing camera, and so far it’s been a solid upgrade. I replaced an older, non-Rexing model in my truck and immediately appreciated the improvements. One of the main reasons I chose this model is that it doesn’t have a screen. I really don’t like a bright display shining in my face at night, so the screen-free design is a big plus for me. It also makes the camera much more discrete from the outside, which adds some peace of mind.
Installation was easy, and the app connection has been reliable so far. Considering all the features and the performance, I definitely feel like it’s worth the money. If you want a discreet, dependable dash cam setup with modern features, this one is a goodchoice.

I have been looking to upgrade my dash cam as my old one didn't have parking mode and it was difficult to retrieve videos. This Rexing dashcam is far better than what I was used to. Not only is the picture crystal clear, but also the connectivity makes it easy for me to get the videos. I like how I can choose to use the cloud (or not), which can help make it way easier to get the videos that I want. The license plate text is not a problem with this one and I trust that if anything were to happen, even when my vehicle is parked, I won't have any problems getting evidence to see what happened.

The Rexing 4G LTE Dash Cam has been a great addition to my car. What I like most is the ability to get instant alerts and view footage from my phone, no matter where I am. The video quality is sharp, especially the front camera, and it records smoothly. The parking mode is also a great feature—it gives me peace of mind when I leave my car overnight. Setup was manageable with a bit of patience. The monthly LTE cost is something to keep in mind, but for me, the remote access is totally worth it.

o Setup was not very easy. URL on device said to scan the QR code with Onago app. I wasn’t aware of this app and couldn’t find it on google play store. I installed Rexing app and tried to install it through that, but the first step is to sign up for the mobile subscription. I couldn’t register as a new user in the Rexing app because it said that I needed to agree to the user agreement and I could not find a place to say that I agreed to that. It turned out that my phone screen keyboard was blocking the agree box. The Rexing app turned out to have no method to add a device or connect to a dashcam. Tech support was quick to answer and helpful.
o I like that the dashcam gets constant and switched power from the OBD 2 port, but that OBD2 connector will keep getting disconnected when someone uses the port to scan for EDCs.
o I clicked on the URL in the quick start guide to get the extended warranty. That took me to a Rexing website that says “No results found”. I then did a search for activation and did a search for my dashcam and it just took me to the main webpage.
o I needed to contact technical support to help me set up this dashcam. They told me that I needed to use a different e-mail because the Onago system did not support receiving emails from all domains. They then sent me an email that had a video on how to access the dashcam in a local mode without subscribing to the mobile system. It had another email on general setup and use.
o Accessing the camera and recorded videos through an app is a little different for me and I need to get used to it. I wish there was a built in screen so I could quickly see the camera view and adjust the settings. Picture quality is great.

The Rexing M2 4G LTE 2-Channel Dash Cam offers high-resolution recording, real-time connectivity, and advanced parking surveillance. After some testing, here's my take:
Pros:
Excellent Video Quality: The 2.5K front and 1080p rear cameras deliver crisp, clear footage. License plates and other crucial details are easily discernible, even in varying lighting conditions.
4G LTE Connectivity: This is the star feature. The ability to remotely view live footage, receive push notifications for events (like impacts or motion detection), and track your vehicle's location via GPS is useful.
Reliable GPS: The integrated GPS accurately tracks your vehicle's speed and location, which is helpful for insurance claims
Innovating Parking Mode: The various parking mode options (motion detection, impact detection, and time-lapse) provide peace of mind while your car is parked. The push notifications for these events are prompt and helpful.
User-Friendly App: The Rexing Connect app is relatively intuitive and allows for easy access to recorded videos, live view, and settings adjustments.
Dual Channel Recording: Front and rear camera recording is important, and this model delivers both.
Motion Detection and Push Alerts: The motion detection is sensitive enough to catch relevant events, and the push alerts are very fast.
Cons:
4G LTE Subscription Required: While the connectivity is a plus, it does require a separate 4G LTE data plan. This adds to the overall cost.
App Stability: While generally good, I experienced occasional app crashes or slow loading times.
Overall:
The Rexing M2 4G LTE Dash Cam is a powerful and feature-rich device that offers excellent protection and connectivity. The high-quality video, reliable GPS, and robust parking mode make it a solid choice for anyone looking for a premium dash cam.
Be prepared for the ongoing cost of the 4G LTE subscription.

Great Dash Cam for Peace of Mind and Easy Remote

I got the Rexing 4G LTE Dash Cam mainly for peace of mind, and it does a great job. The video quality is sharp—both front and rear views look great even at night. I really like the push notifications when motion is detected; it makes me feel like my car is being watched even when I’m not around. The app is pretty easy to use, and I can check footage remotely. Setup took a bit of time, but once it’s done, it works smoothly. Overall, a solid camera with useful features.

Easy Install But….

I’ve owned several Rexing dash cams and picture quality is always great. I’ve hard wired all except 1 Rexing dash cams which didn’t have an option to. When I saw this with WiFi and OBD2 plug in option it was a no brainer. Super easy physical install… but connecting to my phone via the OnaGo was not so great. Did everything with the provided limited instruction said to do. The app said to format SD card (which was included), but would not let me. The camera would say, “format SD card” and it would not let me in order to get the camera working. I emailed Rexing support they were great and patient, but they don’t work on weekends, answers are only provided during the week. I had to uninstall the app and reinstall the app several times in order for it to work. Other than the vague instructions, the videos from the camera, day or night are clear, the 4G LTE is good but I think a bit expensive at $9.99 mth, All in all, a good dash cam but with some frustrations.

Camera was pretty easy to install and so far, so good. I like that it connects to OMB port as easier than fuse box and don't need it in car charger all the time. Also, OMB gives it speed and other data from car which is nice.

This is a great dash cam that finally plugs into the obd2 instead of taking up a cigarettes' outlet that I normally would charge my phone with. I never needed a screen and you can connect with your phone anyways so you don't always have to take out the SD card whenever you need to check a clip.
I'm not sure what the antistatic sticker is for, it's in the manual, but not in the install video, but the regular adhesive is strong enough.
I do rideshare and rent my car out on Turo so the integrated tracking is great too and the cost is in line or a little less than other trackers.

Rexing 4G LTE Dual-Channel Dash Cam Review
The Rexing 4G LTE Dual-Channel Dash Cam delivers comprehensive vehicle monitoring with
front (2.5K) and rear (1080p) recording, real-time GPS tracking, and cellular connectivity for
remote access. Installation is straightforward using the OBD-II power connection, enabling
continuous operation and parking surveillance without hardwiring. A 64 GB microSD card is
included, with support for expanded local storage, while critical event footage can be uploaded
securely to the cloud with a single button press.
The companion mobile app allows live viewing, video playback, trip history, and instant push
notifications for motion detection, impacts, overspeed events, and parking alerts. Real-time two-
way audio enables remote communication through the camera, adding an extra layer of security.
Built-in Wi-Fi and GPS provide convenient access to footage and accurate location tracking
when nearby.
Rexing’s LTE data plans start at $9.99 per month and include 30-day cyclic cloud storage,
itinerary records, SOS messaging, and encrypted data protection. While the subscription adds
value for remote monitoring and alerts, some users note that a lower-cost plan option would be
beneficial. Video quality is strong overall, particularly during daytime use, though low-light rear
footage and app usability could see improvement.
Overall, the Rexing 4G LTE Dash Cam is a solid, feature-rich option for drivers seeking reliable
dual-view recording, easy installation, and 24/7 remote access to their vehicle.

Next evolution of Rexing's dash cam lineup

This review is for the Rexing - 4G LTE 2-Channel Dash Cam, 2.5K+1080p (Model: BBY-4G-LTE). This product, I believe, is the next evolution of Rexing's dash cam product lineup. It's sleek and compact packed with virtually all of the features that you would expect and want in a premium dash cam product.
Now, in addition to the standard features that Rexing has provided in their dash cams for years, I can have remote live monitoring and pertinent alerts of my vehicle from anywhere on my phone through their app. Speaking of the app, I agree with others that it may be buggy at times, which always fixed itself when I would force-stop the app (I have a Android phone) and restart. I'm not too concerned, however, as Rexing's customer support is top-notch and I trust they will patch it up soon. In short, not a deal breaker.
Anyhow, I think such a quality and feature-rich product should command a premium price and their subscription model is understandable. I treat it as an investment for the protection of my vehicle, as I cannot imagine how much more such a product can be improved by Rexing at this point.

I rarely write reviews, but this dash cam deserves every single one of its five stars – and more! From the moment I installed it, I felt a new level of security and peace of mind on the road.
The video quality is simply phenomenal. The footage is crystal clear, capturing license plates and crucial details in its wide viewing area.
I was a bit worried about the installation process since you have to tuck in a lot of cord in order to make it look nice in the vehicle. Installation ended up being a lot easier than expected, you just have to tuck in the write as you go along and occasionally use the tool that is provided to get the cord hidden behind panels. I had it set up and recording within minutes, thanks to the intuitive design and clear instructions. The end result is a professional looking installation that is barely noticeable and doesn't interfere with your field of view of the road.
What truly sets this dash cam apart are its many features. It has all the normal bells and whistles that you would expect from a top of the line dash cam, plus several more features that go above and beyond the usual with its built-in 4g connectivity. Although there is a monthly fee to receive some of these features, it's dependent on your own needs and preferences if the added fee is worth it or to just use the memory card with loop recording and the G-sensor footage lock. For me personally the extra fee is well worth it for what you get. I have a teenager that also often drives my car, so with the extra subscription features I receive is a huge add- on for my piece of mind as a parent. Not in the sense of being able to track my daughter's whereabouts, but that if anything were to happen and let's say not her fault, then I have the proof to defend her, along with receiving instant notifications of an accident immediately and can see where exactly she is in case of emergency!
Honestly, this dash cam isn’t just a gadget; it’s an essential piece of equipment for any driver. It’s an investment in safety, security, and peace of mind, regardless of if you do or don't utilize the additional monthly fee features. If you’re on the fence, jump off and buy this one – you won’t regret it!

Great camera!! Comes with both front and rear. Had great experiences with other Rexing products and so far no different for my first ever dash cam. Was skeptical at first about getting one but I actually feel I am now a more cautious driver cause I am not gonna want to be providing evidence against myself lol. It is a great piece of mind knowing if I get rear ended or someone tries to fraud me all the proof you need is at your fingertips.
This model comes with cellular connection for alerts and remote viewing. It comes with a 64GB micro SD card but I upped it to a 128GB I had laying around. You do need to pay the monthly fee for the app and remote features but it very reasonable IMO. The video quality is great. I know other models have built in screens to review footage but to me that is not necessary with today’s technology. You pay a monthly fee and get to view your camera footage and get alerts, plus a phone screen is gonna be much bigger and better than any dash cam with a screen built in.
Install was a pain for me but that is not on Rexing and that will vary based different car models. Thought about having Geek Squad do it but based on past installations(not only from Best Buy) I just don’t trust others to do a mediocre job or break parts and have to fight about it. Both cameras have nice heft and feel solid, very well built. I do worry about the adhesive failing eventually(hopefully a long time away) but after 2 weeks even in the hot weather still feels solid so only time will tell.
Only thing I wished it had was a small coverable hd camera to record the cabin.
