    Not Worth It – Glare Makes It Unusable I really wanted to like this dash cam, but the glare is unbearable. The rearview image is basically useless due to the combination of tint on my back window and the tint on the mirror screen itself. Add sunglasses to the mix, and it's 10 times worse — I literally can't see anything. It’s driving me crazy. The front camera quality is actually good. I end up turning the display off every time just so I can use it as a regular mirror. With all the layers of tint, it's like looking into a dark smudge — not safe and not practical. I regret the purchase, and I wouldn’t buy it again. Just not worth the hassle.

      We're sorry to hear about your experience. The M2 is designed to function as a standard rearview mirror with recording capability. The screen only activates when using features like the backup camera. You can remove the screen film to use it as a regular mirror.

    The provided instructions for installation were rather minimal. I would have appreciated a better mounting solution for the rear camera. I would also strongly prefer a higher framerate such as 60fps, because when installed the rear camera becomes your rearview mirror and a higher framerate looks more natural. GPS speed detection also needs a higher refresh rate. The Smart features are helpful, though the object detection does give some false positives. Overall the value for the price is decent.

    The Rexing M2 Max Pro mirror dash cam not only videos front and rear activity, it can also be used as a backup camera and many other functions and still allows the rearview mirror to be functional. It is easily attached to your rearview mirror and keeps the dash clear, no window or dash attachment which is one reason I purchased it. Got a good deal on it and am watching for another sale for a second vehicle.
