I've tried 4 dashcams before getting to this one and i must say that I've had absolutely no issues. My main reason for choosing this is mainly base on the fact that you don't even need the app to see highlights. It's locked right into the screen. The touchscreen works flawlessly. I was leaning towards the Wolfbox but i must say that this brand surely didnt disappoint me. Good work on this product guys!!!

The dashcam market has exploded in the last few years as drivers protect themselves if there is any need for insurance claims, police reports, etc. The market is predicted to grow over the next few years and until OEM manufacturers integrate them with new cars, the aftermarket will continue to expand and add features. The Rexing M2 packs a 4K dashcam into a rearview mirror that slides over your cars OEM rearview mirror. I was concerned about vibrations, but the rubber straps are plenty tight so it's not an issue. Installation is pretty straight forward and the complexity will depend on your vehicle. There are two ways to wire it up - one will be more permanent that includes the option to wire into your fuse box or the normal 12v adapter that would plug into the port formerly known as a cigarette lighter. This is a nice option if your want to move between vehicles vs the permanent option. If you're going to go the permanent route, I'd recommend getting a trim removal tool or opt for having Best Buy perform the install as it can be quite daunting. The front facing camera is 4K and the rear camera is 1080p. Both provide great video quality in all lighting conditions including at night. The M2 records 24/7 to capture any hit and runs, break-ins, etc. What sets the Rexing M2 Max apart from other options is the rear collision warning system that monitors traffic behind you and warns if a car is approaching. Fortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to check the functionality. I'm going to assume it works.

I recently got the Rexing M2 Max Pro, and im really pleased with it. The 4K video quality is impressive, very clear and detailed and a huge step up from my old dash cam. The night vision works surprisingly well and is super clear even in low-light conditions. The setup was easy and straightforward and the GPS feature is a handy feature for tracking your route. The build feels solid and well made, and the wide-angle lens covers a good portion of the road. Overall, its a great dash cam mirror upgrade for my older vehicle.

I purchased the Rexing M2 Max Pro to use in my 2009 Honda Civic and I will receive a refund from Rexing for doing this honest review. I have previously purchased and installed 5 Rexing dash cameras, but this is my first experience with a rearview mirror-mounted camera, and while the tech and quality impress, a couple of usability concerns hold it back from perfection. The camera's size initially concerned me - it seemed too large for practical use. However, once installed, it didn’t obstruct my view as much as I thought it would. This dashcam delivers excellent video quality, smart features, however, minor usability issues like sparse instructions and the adjustment period for using a screen as a mirror slightly detracts from the overall experience. I was unable to get the clock to the correct time regardless of changing the time zone and the daylight saving time settings. It is really hard to tell depth perception as it looks like a car is very close behind even when it's not. I do love being able to look back at recordings right in the car and the ability to delete them without having to bring the SD card to my computer. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, with the caveat that it may take a little time to get used to its quirks. If you're looking for a reliable, sleek dash cam that elevates your driving experience, the Rexing M2 Max Pro is an excellent choice.

Context: The Rexing – M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam came along at a really good time for me. My aging vehicle (early 2000s) is low on built-in technology and, as it just so happens, my rearview mirror is starting to have some issues with cracking. To top it all off, I’ve got pretty lousy visibility out my back window as it’s an older, almost always dirty soft top window. Enter the Rexing Mirror Dash Cam!! Installation: Having already installed just a front-facing dashcam in another vehicle, I was generally familiar with how to get a camera set up for at least a basic, not hard-wired installation (including how tuck wiring behind trim). The Rexing – M2 Max Pro was pretty similar- maybe even easier since the front-facing camera doesn’t even need stuck on the windshield, but is on the back of the screen that just mounts to your existing rearview mirror. I haven’t wired the rear-facing camera into my reverse light yet… and may never do that as I find that using the screen AS my rear view mirror is pretty effective and provides a wider field of view with more visibility into what used to be blind spots! The app and access to the videos appear to be consistent with other dashcams I’ve tried. Incident detection (which, thankfully for me, is mostly large speed bumps… will test & play with sensitivity settings) does what it’s supposed to by stirring & protecting those potentially valuable videos. Really pleased so far!

The Rexing - M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam is a great rear view dash cam for a decent price. It includes a 12” display that fits over the rear view mirror. It is a high quality display with a touch screen menu, a display of the rear view for recording and for use as a backup camera and also displays other views all on the same screen. The installation is so simple with everything supplied that is needed. All components seem to be of high quality. There is the front view camera on the back of the display that fits in the rear view mirror, an included rear camera to be placed on the back of the vehicle and a GPS module to track your location on the recordings. These are all powered from the display with connections for them all on top. The included paper instructions could be much better. It would be good if there were videos and better instructions on the Rexing Connect app. The brightness and quality of the recordings are very good. The only issue I had was that the rear view camera was not bright enough on the display at night. But I was still so pleased with the rear view camera showing in my rear view display since my old Odyssey mini van did not have a backup camera. This is a great way to add one in an older vehicle. My overall opinion is that this is such a revolutionary dash cam solution that is offered at an affordable price.

Mostly pleased with this mirror backup camera. The Best Buy techs did a very good job of installation and setting it up. Camera pic is very sharp and pleased with mounting position of rear camera. Occasionally it will suddenly reboot but hopefully this won’t be a continuing problem.

The Rexing m2 max pro is definitely a great addition to your vehicle if you need a backup camera and dashcam setup in one convenient package. The install took me about 45-60 minutes because I had to fish all the wires methodically to the back and to the front plugin so it looks clean. Getting the wiring setup was not too difficult for the reverse camera since my vehicle has an easily accessible rear hatch for access. But it should not be to hard if you follow the directions. As for the parking mode, I did not use that setup since I didn’t require it but there are videos online on how to do this. Overall as a dash cam it works very well and the quality is better than my last 1080p camera. The reverse camera is a big plus since I don’t have one in my vehicle.

Great clarity. Picked up an older pickup with added suspension that raises the rearend making it difficult to judge distances when parking - this camera makes it simple! Perfect parallel park on fist attempt!

The picture quality is the best I’ve seen from a mirror dash cam. Installation was super easy. It doesn’t come with an SD card which is a small hassle, but definitely worth the add-on expense to get one!

BLUF – The system has a lot of promise and for the most part lives up to that. Drawback installation can be a bit tedious and it’s a very large mirror that works well in larger vehicles however may not be great for smaller ones even if it says it is compatible. Install – if you’re good with installing and removing interior panels, spicing wires, and routing cable in an auto then this will be pretty easy, if you're not I would look for someone to install or at a system with fewer features. The instructions were pretty straight forward and I had only one issue with that that I was able to figure out from a couple of previous installs and trial and error. Please note that depending on the vehicle and the amount of exposed wire you want to have this could take a few hours to complete. All of the cables were long enough for the route with the exception of the way I chose to run the rear camera for ease of installation. Setup – the setup was pretty straightforward and self-explanatory. I did have one issue that I contacted customer support with and they were able to resolve – not the best customer support however they did get the issues fixed however it took a bit more time than I would have expected. Functionality – the camera is loaded with features and they all seem to work really well. The screen is bright and clear even in the brightest daylight. I did find changing functions while driving was a bit cumbersome however it could just be because of the high-mount location of the mirror in my vehicle. I only had two small issues with the system 1) night driving with just the plain mirror was a bit darker than the stock mirror, 2) I had to adjust the mirror attachment a number of times to keep it from shaking, I was able to get it to stop but took a lot of adjustment. I really don’t have any major complaints other than the small one and the issues in the setup so I reduced one star for that, otherwise, it's a pretty good system.

My prior m2 passed away and I was able to install the max pro using the same camera saving the reinstalltion of the camera wire. The max pro is working as promised. However the m2 worked for about a year and failed after the 1 year warrant, this time I register to extend for the 18 months. very good so far.
