Poor design and crappy mobile app

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though this camera looks cool and for a significant price tag of 320, one would assume that its very hassle free usage but boy, was I wrong? First, it does not have any wiring to be able hardwire it to battery, Second, the power cable has a metal ring around it right next to where you plug it in the camera, you do what do you, that metal looking loop will hang out like a sore, provided you decided to use the car charger port and hid the cables somehow. You will probably need to mount it below the rear view mirror because the way the rotating cameras are, your mirror will block them both, if you turned them inside for cabin. Once turned on, camera is consistently recording even when you intend it not to, e-g trying to connect to PC or something. Long Press power button to turn off recording, and of course, the camera with it too. After all this if you decided to look away, welcome to $10 job on its mobile phone app. Good luck connecting it to the camera or downloading videos. Its not even 12 hrs that I got it, I will be returning it first thing in the morning.

I could not find a good place to mount it in my vehicle. If I mounted out of my line of sight, one or the other side cameras would have been blocked my the rear view mirror. For both side cameras to work as they should, the camera needs to be below the rear view mirror. If I would have done this, it would have obstructed my view on the right side of the windshield. i would not recommend this unless you have a really big windshield. I really cannot speak to the image quality because I only turned it on once, but from what I could see, it was not as good as my 5 year old Thinkware camera.

Posted .HI! I am sorry you had this issue. If you have a smaller vehicle, this can be a problem depending on the size of the rear view mirror and windshield. You can mount it just under the rear view mirror and the lens can still catch the sides.

Tried to install the rear view camera on a 2023 Nissan Rogue (compact SUV.) The cord for the rear camera is 5-6 feet too short to reach the main camera on the windshield. . What do people do who have full size vehicles? Very poor engineering. I like the nice features of this camera system, but can't use them all due to Rexing trying to shortcut their customers. Don't buy this camera system unless you're driving a Yugo.

Good concept, but not executed well

The 4-way cameras are a smart feature, especially driving in Utah which has some of the most unsafe drivers on the planet. A few months after owning it, my unit restarts about 3-4 times in a 40 minute drive, which is super frustrating. I will keep my unit until it completely stops working, but I would not purchase again.

Parking Sensor Defective

Took it back to the installers at Best Buy they verified the sensor to start the recording when the car was shaken didn’t start recording. It was past the BBuy return by the time Intook it in. Buying a new one later and checking the parking mode sensor first thing.
