Best Buy did a very good job installing my rexing dashcam

I’m replacing an older Rexing Dash Cam with this one, and I highly recommend it. The four cameras record in 1080p and produce very clear video. License plates are easy to read, even at night or in rainy conditions. My favorite features is the radar motion sensing. It has been very reliable and, so far, has worked every single time it should. The parking mode gives me real peace of mind when the car is parked. And installation was surprisingly straightforward. One thing needs to care is that the cash cam is a larger unit (understandable with four channels), you’ll want to position it carefully so it doesn’t interfere with your view. After installation, the mobile app is intuitive for downloading clips directly to my phone. Overall, I highly recommend this dash cam for anyone looking for strong, all-around protection on the road.

I love that this has a built in screen for viewing the camera angles, recorded footage and settings. This comes with a wiring harness and memory card. I wish the memory card was larger and GPS was built in instead of being a separate unit. I am not sure that the side cameras will give full 360 degree recording, but they definitely record a lot. Overall I am satisfied.

I own an executive protection business and all of my vehicles have dash cams in them. Rexing has always been a top brand but this camera is over the top! With 360° coverage this one doesn't miss a thing and with the new hardwire kit connecting directly to your OBD port installation is easier than ever. You'll have full coverage all the way around your car for vandalism door dings whatever. You might be thinking this camera a little too much for your needs but if you get a cheap one that only goes out the windshield and something happens on the side or back you'll remember you read this and be sorry. LOL Camera already comes with all the top features you want with parking monitor automatic Loop recording GPS etc etc this camera doesn't miss a thing.

I purchased this camera mainly to use as a dash cam with the three front-facing cameras, and so far it has worked well for that purpose. I did not install the rear camera, so I can’t comment on that part, but the front coverage alone was the main reason I chose this model. Installation took some time, but once mounted, the main unit feels solid and stays in place. The three front cameras give noticeably better coverage than a standard single camera. It captures the road ahead and also covers the sides of the vehicle, which gives extra confidence in case something happens from an angle. Video quality during the day is clear enough to read license plates at reasonable distances, and night footage is acceptable, though like most 1080p cameras, small details can be harder to read in very low light. The GPS feature is useful, especially when reviewing footage, since it records speed and location along with the video. I also like the parking mode feature. It gives some peace of mind when the vehicle is parked, especially in public areas. The app connection works, though downloading footage over Wi-Fi can be a bit slow. Overall, I bought this primarily for reliable front-side coverage rather than full 360 use, and for that purpose it performs well. If someone wants more coverage than a typical single-camera dash cam, this is a solid option.

I recently picked up the Rexing R4-RD for my wife’s SUV, and it has been a solid addition to our family car. With a vehicle that size, I really wanted something that could monitor other drivers from every angle, and this multi-camera setup definitely delivers on that. The installation was much easier than I expected, especially since it comes with cable management tooling that helps you tuck the wires away for a clean look. I originally wasn't sure if I’d bother with the GPS add-on, but it is so small and easy to mount that I figured I might as well put it in. The biggest improvement over our last dashcam is the wireless connectivity. With my old unit, I had to physically plug it into a computer or pull the SD card just to get a video clip, which was a huge pain. This one lets me download everything wirelessly through the app, which saves a lot of time. One thing I would suggest to anyone buying this is to pick up a high-quality SD card (I got a class 10/UHS-3) with a reasonable amount of storage. I got one that's 256GB, and since it’s recording from four cameras at once, I wanted the extra space to make sure I had enough recording time before it starts overwriting older footage. There are a few minor things that aren't perfect, but I'm fine with them considering the overall performance. The 1080p recording resolution is clear enough for most situations, though I've noticed it struggles a little bit with fine details in very low-light conditions compared to some higher-end models. Also, the app interface feels a bit dated and took me a few tries to really get the hang of, but once you've got it figured out, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Overall, for the price and the 360-degree coverage, it’s a great value for a large family car. Strongly recommended!

The BBY-R4-RD dash cam delivers excellent all-around coverage with clear front, rear, and interior video, day or night. Installation was easy, and the wide-angle lenses capture everything around the vehicle. The built-in radar is a standout — helpful for parking and detecting nearby movement without false alerts. Reliable recording, parking mode, and simple app access make this a solid, worry-free upgrade for safety and security. Highly recommended.

I have always liked how Tesla's can record 24/7, but with the Rexing R4-RD any car can have this feature. The R4-RD is not only a wonderful dash cam but it also has added protection whenever the car is parked. I drive a 2018 Honda CR-V Touring and for me personally I commute and park in an unsafe part of my city so having this gives me a peace of mind. If the unfortunate should happen I have evidence. The camera box includes everything you need for a fast and easy install. Its nice Rexing keeps this in mind with every product and even generously includes a micro SD card. The camera is also powered via the ODB port so installing it is easier compared to other dash cams. The inclusion of a suction cup mount not only made the install easier but adjustments were also easy since other dash cams usually require adhesive or double sided sticky tape to install and are difficult to move once they are stuck in place. Overall I highly recommend the Rexing R4-RD Dash Cam since its a very solid choice and you can consider it your "personal sentry" for your vehicle!

This is my third Rexing product, and honestly, this one might be my favorite. The R4‑RD really does give you coverage from every angle, so I can see what’s happening in front, behind, and around the car without any blind spots. The 360° motion parking monitor has already caught a few people walking very close to my car, which makes me feel a lot better about leaving it in parking lots or on the street. The video quality is clear and detailed, day and night, and the built‑in GPS is a nice bonus because the speed and location are saved with the clips. The app is actually pretty convenient—I can quickly pull up videos on my phone or computer instead of messing with the memory card every time. Installing it does take some patience, since there are multiple cameras and cables to route, but once it’s in, you really don’t have to mess with it much. Overall, it feels solid, reliable, and exactly what I was hoping for in an all‑around dash cam.

I’ve become very familiar with Rexing products over the last five years or so.. and I’ve had several of their dashcams, as well as other products.. all have done the job expected of them.. I think what sets the R4-RD apart from the others is the built in OBD hardwire kit and the gps/ wifi.. earlier versions didn’t have these features as stock.. so, I really like the new R4-RD .. it does exactly what is expected of it, which in turn makes me feel secured..

I just upgraded from a single front view Rexing dash cam that I have had for many years of flawless service, to the R4-RD. Installation and operation is simple and straight forward. The wiring is sturdy and has plenty of length to get to where it is needed along the interior vehicle trim. The 4-channel view and recording is in high resolution and is a fabulous upgrade. The lcd screen is a very nice size and most importantly it doesn’t block my vision of the road when placed appropriately behind the rear view mirror. The night vision quality is like that found in high-end security cameras. With all of the unpredictable things that can happen on the road, I use mine as additional insurance should an incident happen. I can’t recommend this Rexing dash cam highly enough. I’ll also be passing my previous single view cam on to a family member as I’m sure it has many years of useful life remaining.

Picked this up mainly for the parking monitor and it’s been a really good upgrade so far. The Rexing R4-RD was pretty easy to set up and sticks firmly to the windshield. Video quality is nice and clear during the day and still solid at night. I like that it just runs in the background and you don’t really have to think about it. The wider view helps capture more of what’s going on around the car, which is exactly what I was looking for. The 360 motion parking feature is probably my favorite part. I had a situation in a parking lot recently where someone got a little too close, and it actually picked it up which was pretty reassuring. The app is decent too, lets you pull clips without messing with the card which is convenient. Only small thing is the screen is a bit on the smaller side, but honestly you don’t use it much anyway. Overall it’s been reliable and just gives that extra peace of mind. Definitely worth it if you want something simple that covers all the basics and then some.

And other good Rexing product, is my 3st dashcam, good quality and easy installation. Cover every angle.

I purchased the Rexing R4-RD 4-channel dash cam on February 10, 2026 mainly because it would monitor completely around your vehicle while parked Channels equate to cameras and this is a 4 channel (camera) system. The only other item you need to use for this camera is a MicroSD Card. I use a 250 GB microSD card. The unit has its main camera (stationary) that looks forward. The remaining two cameras on the unit are on either side and can rotate 180 degrees from front, to side, to rear. The fourth camera (separate) has a long wire and is to be mounted inside the vehicle on your rear windshield pointing directly behind you. Running the wire behind the interior plastic trim to the main unit in the front is probably the hardest part on the installation of this camera. I installed it in a 2021 GMC Yukon XL in about an hour and fifteen minutes. New for me, the power can now be connected to the OBD connection usually found under the steering wheel (newer vehicles). This connection is the On-Board Diagnostic connection that service mechanics use to hook up their electronic diagnostic scan tool. From this connection the camera gets its constant power and “on” signal when the vehicle has started. There is a GPS connection that has short wire to a little pad that you mount on your windshield. You can access the camera via your phone using wifi but I rarely use this if at all. To view the loop videos I remove the microSD card from the unit and place it in a USB reader to insert to my laptop or desktop PC. Here you can view all videos. The videos are very clear and with sound (if you want them). I set my loops to one minute recording. So each loop for all cameras is a minute. The four channels from four different cameras are placed into four separate file folders on the MicroSD within the “video” folder; “Front, Left, Rear, Right”. On the bottom right, in nice white blocky letters, displays the current Latitude and Longitude, MPH, Date, Day of Week, and time. All cameras record in 1080p so they are extremely clear. For me, the parking monitor was set on low sensitivity so it seemed to record more than what is needed and probably too sensitive. I will try it on all settings later to see what works best for me. Overall a dash cam that has everything you need. For those who really need to record what goes on in the cabin, this camera would work very well. Rexing continues to add and improve their products which is a good sign that they are keeping up with the technology.

This dash cam has been excellent from day one. Installation was quick and straightforward, and it’s been reliable every time I’ve used it. The video quality is clear, the 360° coverage is a huge plus, and having an app to easily view and manage footage makes everything super convenient. Overall, a great all-around dash cam that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

R4RD Camera Review APR 2026 Why a 5 star rating? Camera has strong case; excellent mechanical adjustments. Suction-cup mounting easy and strong. “Quick-setup instructions were accurate and easy. Additional desired features included; MPH, GPS location. If you simply want a simple stick to the window, power up and go, the R4RD almost makes it. However this does not come with a “cigarette lighter” power connector to complete the “simple install” mode. (did not look if this could be purchased separately???) I wanted a “finished” installation with the wires buried in the headliner so the cables provided were excellent. My installation started at the OBD, the rear camera wire joining and running up the door jam easily under the rubber gasket, and then two feet under the headliner and out at the mirror to the camera. My previous (now replaced) camera had a power cable that needed to connect into the fuse box, a painful experience This cable easily connects to the OBD port, no needed wire guessing with a volt meter. Improvements over my removed Rexing camera: 1. All the cables connect on the camera top. 2. Also, the memory card inserts in the TOP... my old camera inserted in the side, occasionally causing an ejection and the very small card was lost to the floor. 3. Bottom activated buttons superior to old style that press from rear. 4. Compared the R4RD video to my previous camera on the same trip; greatly superior! CONs 1. This camera has cables different from the existing camera, requiring all NEW cables to be buried and connected. 2. I have a SUV and the rear cable was about 2 foot short for where I wanted to mount the rear camera, in the center of the window where the wiper would keep the view clean. Possibly I will fabricate a small extension some day. 3. Existing Camera had the ability for a custom label (aka License plate number), this does not. Certainly not enough to remove a star, just something cool that easily could have been included.

Exactly what I needed. I love all the camera angles. Placed it in my crew cab truck so I could get a view out the windows and it picks up great image. Clear enough image to see what’s going on. Radar motion sensors is a cool extra feature that’s a plus but not something I’ll be checking often. Overall great package. 

Product arrived pretty quickly. The dashcam seem pretty solid and has good picture quality. The only thing is that it does seem a little heavy so hopefully it will not fall off from the window later. A little on the pricier side but seems to be good quality
