Rexing has been dragging their heels and expect me to pull wires and replace the sensor which they sent a replacement. I told them I did not have the ability, although I tried, to remove the sensor and then they told me to remove the old one and send it back to the, If I cant remove the old one to replace it, how the heck do they expect me to remove it for shipping. Rexing is dragging their feet on this bad situation. Do NOY buy Rexing products.

Posted .HI James! Thank you for your review! Our devices do not hold a charge because they all use supercapacitors that need constant power. It sounds like you may have a power issue, which does point to the hardwire kit.
If you are having issues, and reach out to our care team, we will have to troubleshoot and possible replace parts that are defective. In order to do this, and better assist our customers, we ask customers to try a variety of different things to ensure what we replace is where the issue is coming from.
Once we find where the issue is coming from we NEVER have issues in sending you replacements.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When the Best Buy/ Geek Squad technician installed this to support the dashcam I had just bought it with - Rexing - V33, Model: BBY-V33, SKU: 6512931, he informed me when he finished that the motion detector unit would not work with the camera. Since the only power out port was already being used by the rear camera it could not power the motion detector. Luckily I did not pay extra over the basic hardware kit due to a Best Buy deal on it, but I paid $100 to install the unit with the expectations that it would be, well, available when installed!

The V33 has one power port (for the intelligent hardwire kit) and one rear camera port on the left-hand side of the camera. One will not interfere with the other, I'd suggest having them check the installation again. IT DOES NOT!!! If you have the R4 as I do it will not work. This has a mini USB power plug and the R4 camera has a "Type C" power plug. It wasn't until after I spent several hours tearing apart my dash and installing the kit that I went to plug it into the camera only to realize I had wasted my time as the power supply is incompatible. Very irritated. Rexing does have a correct hard wire kit for the R4 but it's not what's offered by Best Buy.
