Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It says its 4k and I promise you, IT IS NOT 4K!!! I did everything to fix the situation on the dashcam itself including putting the resolution on 4k and nothing. I couldn’t read a single sign after playing back the saved recordings. Don’t recommend

Posted .HI! Please make sure you view the footage on a 4K display to get the best resolution. Playing the footage back on the device or via WIFI will not give you the best quality and clarity.

Great dashcam
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for a couple weeks and it has worked great. Thankfully I haven't needed it but I reviewed several different types of footage and it's smooth and clear. Installation was pretty easy. The hardest part was fishing the cable to the rear camera. I was able to get the cable through the rubber conduit to the rear door so you really don't even know it's there except for the camera itself. It's probably better to start from the front and work to the back as the front plug is a 90 degree headphone jack, the rear is thicker though so it's not always a better option. I powered it with the hardwire kit and it is one of the easier kits I've used. The ends are already add-a-fuse plugs which is great. You only have to find which fuse is best to use. The camera itself works very well. The picture is clear at night and has minimal light streaking. Daytime recordings are clear. The 4k front camera is great to zoom in and see signs or plates and the rear is enough to get a plate if you're rear ended. The one thing I'm not overly happy with is that only a 32gb card is standard for a 2 camera (1 at 4k) system. These days it would cost almost nothing to included a 64gb and you'd be able to record more than a few hours of driving. But it is nice they support up to a 512GB card if you want to upgrade. The parking monitor mode works well and is nice to have. It works great with the hardwired kit and records smoothly and reliably. I don't see myself using the screen on the unit much but it has been handy if I need to see behind the car while backing up (car doesn't have a rear camera stock). You can angle the camera down enough to see about a foot behind the car and still see about 3 car lengths behind while driving. Overall I'd recommend this camera if you're in the market. It's bigger than another camera I have because of the screen but if you mount it right below the mirror it really isn't noticeable at all.

Good Dashcam
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Summary ------- Rexing has been making very good dashcams and this one is no exception. This is a 4k front and 1080p rear camera bundle and which also comes with parking sensor based recording which is pretty cool to target hit and run folks at the parking lot. Overall at the price this is a great package. I compared videos with the one i currently own and i was impressed with the quality of the video especially during night. Overall a great buy. A bit pricey but i think the recording at parking is a great benefit. What's in the box ----------------- Rexing V1P Dash Camera + Rexing V1P Rear camera + Rear cam extension cable (18ft) In-car power cable (12ft) 3M adhesive mount USB computer cable Quick Start Guide pros ---- 1. Excellent videos 2. Easy setup 3. Parking recording 4. COmes with rear camera Cons --- 1. price Review ------ Out of the box it is pretty much a plug and play. The camera is attached to the windshield using a 3m adhesive. Connecting the rear camera was a bit of a pain but i got around it. The camera does not come with an Micro SD card so i recommend getting a 128gb one. The camera does recording on a rolling basis so you. I believe it is around 50 hours rolling/ The manufacturer claims that it is heat resistance, never tried. The product also supports Wifi and can download the videos directly on the phone using the app so you dont have to disconnect to download which is kind of cool. Overall a great product, i think insurance companies should consider offering rebates for dashcams

We are sorry to hear that you are not enjoying the quality of the V1P Flex X4. Please note that to view the true quality of the dashcam, you would need to either connect it to your phone or connect it to a computer. Flex your dash cam
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation was easier than I thought it would be, especially the wiring, probably because this was installed in compact sedan. I can see wiring being a bit more challenging (depending on how much of a perfectionist you are) in a hatchback (movable rear window where the rear camera is mounted) or a larger vehicle like an SUV or minivan. The plastic molding pry tool (what they call the 'cable management tool') included in this kit is almost too small to be of much use. A friend of mine had installed a similar Rexing device in his car and the pry tool included with his kit was bigger and much more useful (gave a bigger gap in the molding to push the cables through), so we ended up using his to run the wiring through the car. After installation, I downloaded the Rexing app and live streamed the video from the front and rear cameras on my phone for fine tuning the camera positions, as the monitor on the front camera is too small to see much detail. Pros: - The videos are very clear during daytime. Can easily read license plates and street signs even when in motion at low speeds. - The device is much smaller than it looks from the pictures, which is nice because it doesn't take up much space on the windshield. In fact, in my car, I put it directly behind the rearview mirror, so I can barely see it when in the driver's seat, which is fine because the video display on it is too tiny to be of much use. - You can live stream the video (front or rear) to your mobile device via the Rexing mobile app when in the car. Unfortunately, this requires connecting to the WiFi of the Rexing unit which means you won't be connected to the internet on your mobile device. This makes sense, however, because, as far as I'm aware, WiFi is the only way to stream 1080p and higher quality video. - Once it's been installed, it doesn't require any interaction after that. Because it's wired to the vehicle's power supply, you don't ever have to worry about changing batteries. It automatically turns on when the car is started and shuts itself off when the car is turned off. Stored video automatically rotates, deleting older videos to make room for new ones, so you don't have to worry about the SD card storage getting full. Cons: - Poor video quality at night (both cameras), even when stopped: - Almost seems blurry - Hard to read any street signs, even when stopped - Any type of strong lights at night (e.g. street lights, traffics signals, headlights) cause a lot of glare and artifacts on the display. For example, artifacts from overhead street lights looked like the moon. - The monitor on the front camera is very tiny. With both front and rear cameras being displayed it scrunches both displays side-by-side so they're both vertically stretched, which makes it almost impossible to see anything useful. And there's no setting I could find to only display one camera. But not much of an issue as, once it was installed, I rarely had to interact with the device. To view/download videos or photos, you can use your mobile device or remove the SD card and view it on a computer. - For some reason, the rear camera's vertical viewing angle can only be adjusted in set intervals. When you rotate it up or down, it 'snaps' to the next position, so you can't fine tune between positions. This is not the case with the front camera, however, where you can adjust it to the exact vertical viewing angle that you want. - Since the wire to the rear camera was coming from the passenger side, I had flipped the rear camera around so the port would be on the side the wire was coming from, instead of having to loop it around, thinking that the video could be flipped when viewing on the monitor or in the app so it appears right side up, but it can't. It's not a big deal as I just flipped the camera around, but something to be aware of when mounting the rear camera as there's a definite top and bottom to it, even though they look the same.

Odd shape but great value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having installed dashcams in multiple vehicles before, I found the setup process with this unit to be quite straightforward. The instructions provided were clear and thorough, and the ample cable length made it easy to connect the camera from my power source to my desired mounting location. In terms of installation, it was on par with other dashcams I’ve worked with. When it comes to video quality, the Rexing V1P Flex X4 performs well across various conditions. The screen remains easily visible during the day, while at night it doesn’t get overly bright, making it easy to use without being a distraction. The camera records high-quality footage in both daylight and low-light conditions, ensuring that license plates, road signs, and other important details are captured clearly. This is especially useful for anyone driving long distances or in areas with varying light conditions. One area where the dashcam stands out is its dual-camera feature. The picture-in-picture view of both the front and rear camera feeds is particularly convenient, as it allows me to monitor both angles simultaneously with ease. The recorded footage from both cameras is also clearly differentiated, making it simple to review events from the front and back perspectives when necessary. In terms of design, the Rexing V1P Flex X4 has a slightly unusual form factor, which means it’s more dependent on the slope of your windshield than a typical dashcam. This could pose a slight inconvenience depending on your vehicle’s design, but the screen brightness and quality do a good job compensating for any viewing angle issues. That said, the build quality is solid. The camera feels sturdy and well-made, which gives me confidence in its durability. WiFi connectivity is another strong point of this dashcam. It works seamlessly, allowing me to easily transfer and view footage via the app without any hiccups. The app interface is intuitive, and I haven’t experienced any lag or connection issues, which is a relief when it comes to dealing with high-resolution 4K videos. The dashcam comes with a 32GB memory card, which is a bit on the small side for a device recording in 4K. However, the card is easily replaceable with a larger one if you need more storage. I didn’t encounter any issues with loop recording either—the dashcam simply overwrote older footage once the card filled up, as expected. I also had a chance to test out a few of the advanced features, including the parking monitor and collision detection. The parking monitor worked exactly as it should, recording when motion was detected while the vehicle was stationary. As for collision detection, it relies on G-force sensors that sometimes trigger on bumps or rough roads. While this could be a minor annoyance, I didn’t mind it much, as it’s better to be safe than sorry in such situations. The overall user interface, both on the device and within the app, is straightforward and easy to navigate. The menus are well-organized, and I was able to access different features and settings quickly without any confusion. In terms of value, I think the Rexing V1P Flex X4 is a great buy for the price. It offers a comprehensive set of features, sturdy build quality, and reliable performance. The few minor quirks, such as the windshield dependency and the slightly small included memory card, don’t detract from its overall usefulness and functionality. If you're in the market for a reliable dashcam with dual-camera capability and 4K recording, the Rexing V1P Flex X4 is definitely worth considering.

Great product. Excellent feature set
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned several dashcams from various companies over the years and I’m not sure why these aren’t mandated to have in every U.S. vehicle. I think of my dash cam being almost as important as wearing my seat belt. This dashcam is very budget friendly, particularly when you consider that it is 4k and includes a rear camera, 32 GB SD card and the hardwiring kit as opposed to the cigarette lighter type. Most dashcams do not include the SD card or hardwire kit, which can add hundreds of dollars to the purchase. The device is easy to install and even easier to use. The buttons are located in the front of the device and there is also an app that you can download to interact with your dash cam. It connects via WiFi and allows you to save recordings. Although the price would indicate it’s more budget friendly? There are plenty features that you would normally find in a higher a priced dashcam. For example, high definition resolution (4k front, 1080P rear), collision detection, parking mode, dual recording and the ability to add a gps module that tracks speed and location. Collision detection is essential and allows the camera to record video before, during and after any collision and protects the file from deletion so you can download it later for insurance or reporting purposes. This works with the parking mode as well. When an impact is detected, while your vehicle is parked, you the dashcam will automatically begin recording. Because the camera is hard-wired as opposed to being plugged into the DC adapter, this allows for an “always on” setup. It doesn’t drain your battery. My daughter is at school in California and I wasn’t sure which dashcam to get for her, but I think I just decided. Great product so far and I couldn’t be happier.

sleek ... maybe a little too sleek
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed on a 2024 Subaru Legacy with Smart Hardwire kit for parking monitor. Camera: still a crisp (if upscaled) 4K video up front, and 1080p resolution in the rear. Memory: still a low-capacity 32G memory card that most regular drivers would be wise to upgrade or rotate out on the regular. Interface: the row of five undifferentiated buttons takes the UI backward one step. Perhaps Rexing has just successfully trained me on the 2021 V1P model and its centrally located "OK" button; but since most of us install the main unit of the 2024 V1P on the far side of the rear-view mirror, and so will handle it primarily by touch, the lack of tactile reference points (like the old central "OK") mean you're really flying blind. Summary: Rexing's latest packs a lot into an even more slender, lower-profile unit for a decent price. "Set it and forget it" so that you don't have to fuss with the buttons while driving. Recommendation: add an extra microSD card into the rotation. Disclosures: as part of an offer to upgrade on our 2021 V1P Plus (model V1P-PLUS-BBY), the manufacturer offered me this unit gratis if I wrote a review.

A Competent Dashcam Setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[PROS] Excellent Video Quality: The rear camera is 1080p which is serviceable and the standard. However, the 4K, front camera is pretty spectacular. I'm able to make out fine details like writing and see more of the road given the dashcam's field of view. I'm impressed with the night vision as well. Although well-lit areas works best, I'm assured that my Rexing V1P Flex will capture everything I need when driving. Collision Detection/Parking Mode Accuracy: I don't know from personal experience about this feature (thankfully), but the G sensor inside can be triggered through a number of ways such as rocky terrain or any shaking of the vehicle. I was able to get alerts/recordings when the dashcam detected impact. Extended Warranty: Knowing that the warranty of this product is 18 months does my heart good. I'm fairly confident of the product's reliability from what I've seen so far. However, it's good to have a nice cushion in the event of some odd failure. [CONS] Small Display: The bezel around the screen is too large. Because the screen has a thick border around it, it can make viewing live footage a bit of a hassle. Small nitpicks: 32GB is small memory card size to include. Larger memory configurations are cheap but I would prefer something with a little more meat without having to spend extra. An OBDII to USB C cable would've been nice to have. It would make installation much easier and/or eliminate the need for professional installation. The Rexing App could use some work as an android user. I had some hiccups navigating to certain sections, but I'm able to transfer/retrieve data. [CONCLUSION] The Rexing V1P Flex X4 is feature packed camera that mostly satisfies in execution. I have some things that I wish were improved or included. Yet, I think the product is a very fine device to use for my daily commute.

Rexxing and dashcams make a good combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have another Rexxing dashcam that I've been using in my other car that has been working great. This one is no exception. The quality of the recording from the rear is good enough with 1080p but the front camera with 4k looks really good. The nighttime quality is good too but I find that the rear camera looks okay at night. Setup is fairly easy. I'm used to setting up dashcams so for me, it's not a big deal, but you just attach the camera to the front of your windshield and the other one to the rear. The hardpart is hiding the wires and making it look clean. But if you're not making it a clean install, then it's really easy. I find that this doesn't overheat inside my car in the Texas heat. I can't really test when it's cold, but so far, I have not had any issues with overheating which is a good thing. The parking mode is probably something you really want to try and install. It's a smart one too so your car won't suddenly run out of battery. The wires needed for this are provided and the cameras sensors will detect if there is a strong impact to your vehicle and will automatically record.

Great camera for a good price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 4th camera by Rexing, this time I finally bought a dashcam with rear camera. I am seeing a lot of improvements on this camera compared to my other dashcams by Rexing. The new Wi-Fi is a lot faster and downloading videos is easy and fast. The quality of image has improved as well and what I like a lot is being able to hardwire the camera to the car's electrical system without the need to splice OEM cables. This also gives you the ability to enable the parking monitor functionality. Another cool feature of this camera is the sleek design, from outside you can barely notice the camera in the windshield. This bundle is definitely a good deal because it comes with the hardwire kit and the memory card, so you are able to install and easy the camera as soon your package arrives. I truly recommend this dashcam.

Solid Dash-Rear Cam- could use a few minor tweaks
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the the Rexing V1P Flex X4, and it’s been a solid choice for my daily driving. 4K sounded like overkill when I first read about it. But after using the Rexing V1P Flex X4, I can’t imagine going back to anything lower. The clarity is great and you can easily make out license plates, even from a distance or when a car zips by. I’m not one to nitpick on details, but when I saw how well it captured even the smallest things like street signs or the texture of the road, I was sold. The "Flex" in Rexing V1P Flex X4 isn’t just marketing, you can move and adjust both the front and rear cameras to fit your setup exactly how you want it. I’m a bit particular when it comes to my gadgets, and the ability to tweak the angles to cover exactly what I wanted was a huge plus for me. This camera has a front 4K camera and a rear 1080p camera, which gives a nice balance. I like the fact that I’m covered from both directions, and even though the rear isn’t 4K, it’s still sharp enough to get details like license plates or suspicious activity behind my car. It’s just good knowing I’ve got a 360-degree view around me at all times. GPS- Motion Detection- Vibration Detection – Handy Little Extras That should be Included I think i would have liked the system to have an included GPS feature or included GPS logger. You also need to attach an intelligent hardwire kit/Smart Kit to enable motion detection/vibration detection when in park mode. There a re a few features I would have liked to be standard but they have to be added on via external kits, devices or included wiring kits. Why not just make it standard on the device and reduce additional wiring. Then there’s the Wi-Fi connectivity. I’m not a fan of fumbling with SD cards or plugging things into my computer, so this was a lifesaver. I just open up the app on my phone and the footage is right there. Whether it’s to share a funny moment I caught on the road or grab some serious footage for insurance purposes, it’s easy to transfer. Parking Mode – The Silent Guardian Parking Mode is probably one of my favorite features. I’m always nervous about leaving my car in crowded parking lots or overnight on the street. With Parking Mode, the Rexing V1P Flex X4 automatically starts recording if it detects vibration or any impact. It’s will work as long as you install it using the smart hardware kit that is included. The Super Capacitor – Because I Live Where It’s Very Hot and Very Cold Here’s something I didn’t think I’d care about but ended up loving: the super capacitor. I live in an area where temperatures can swing from freezing winters to scorching summers, and I’ve heard horror stories about dash cams with batteries giving out because of the heat or cold. The super capacitor in this model can handle those extreme temps, so I don’t have to worry about the camera failing me just because the weather’s acting up. The Expandability You are able to add more cameras if you need or want more angles all over your vehicle. I don;t feel the need to add more but it is a nice option. A Few Things That Could Be Better Of course, no product is perfect, and I did run into a few things that could be improved: GPS it should be included without having to buy an additional device. File Sizes: The 4K video files are massive. I had to buy a larger memory card, which wasn’t a huge deal but still something to think about. If you’re not managing your files regularly, your card will fill up fast, even with loop recording enabled. Power Consumption: Because of the high-quality video and extra features, the camera uses more power. I’ve started unplugging it when I know my car will sit for a while because I don’t want it to drain the battery. It hasn’t been an issue yet, but it’s worth keeping in mind if you’re someone who leaves their car for long periods. Initial Setup: The camera has a lot of settings, and it took me a bit longer to configure everything just right. I’m not super techy, so I had to fiddle with it more than I expected. But once it was set up, it was smooth sailing. Overall In my opinion, the Rexing V1P Flex X4 is worth it if you want high-quality footage and comprehensive coverage. I didn’t just want a dash cam for the sake of having one—I wanted something that could make a difference in case something goes wrong on the road. The 4K recording, flexible camera setup and Parking Mode all contribute to that feeling of security.

Set it and Forget it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Between 3 cars now and upgrades, this model Rexing V1P Flex X4 4K WiFi Dual Dash Cam is the sixth Rexing dashcam I've had in the last 7 years. All of them have always functioned and performed perfectly and reliably, and still do. This new V1P Flex X4 4K WiFi Dual (front & rear view) includes a car charger, the smart hardware kit, as well as a 32 GB MicroSD card (with adapter). The initial setup menu is still not exactly intuitive, but once you get used to maneuvering thru the screens, it becomes second nature. Once the initial setup is complete, there is nothing left to do. The V1P Flex X4 4K WiFi Dual will watch your back (and front) every time you turn on the ignition and drive away.

Great install experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this dash cam for Christmas. Got an appointment quickly for Best Buy to install it. They were on time to receive my vehicle; neat, clean & efficient to get it installed. The tech was courteous and professional. Tech quickly showed me how to use it. I just had a hard time registering it with Rexing because I had no instruction on how to remove it from windshield to read the ID number on back of camera. I finally figured out that it slides upward to remove. Otherwise, everything was a breeze.

Well Built and Capable Dual Dashcam
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Rexing dashcam model is a solid little performer with some useful extra features. It includes a rear dashcam and the ability to add a cabin dashcam; all in addition to the front facing camera. I did like the method to attach the dashcam to the window with the included 3M sticky pads and plate which is more secure than a suction cup. You can adjust the dashcam angle by moving the lens. I find this method is better than making the mount adjustable. Simple and effective. Tip of the cap to the Rexing engineers. I could have taken a star off for the design in which the buttons are marked in an almost invisible way i.e. black on black. The designation for the OK, Menu, Power and Left/Right arrows should have been in a contrasting color like silver so you could see them more easily. I left the 5-stars intact because I found it intuitive for me to know what the button functions were. The recording mode utilizes the micro-SD card in a loop meaning it will overwrite previous recordings. However, if there is an impact sensed, then that recording segment is locked so it cannot be overwritten. The recordings are segments of 1 to 3 minutes based on a setting you control. Installation was easy if you are used to working with your various trim tools to tuck the wiring out of sight. The camera does include a very nice screen, especially at this price-point, for viewing the front/rear camera images. It has a connector on the camera for a ‘cabin’ camera which is an optional accessory. I installed the app on my Android phone and it was simple to connect your cell phone to the dashcam to view files. You can also remove the included 32 GB micro-SD card and view the files on a computer. An extra nice feature is that the WiFi connectivity can be 2.4 GHz and also can be the higher speed 5.0 GHz which is not always seen – nice. The settings are intuitive so I give Rexing high marks for a fairly simple GUI interface, albeit the aforementioned problem of hard to see key functions. If you desire a parking mode, this dashcam includes that capability via a setting. It can also have a motion detecting mode but that would require accessories not included. There is an 18 month warranty if you register the product, or just 12 months if you don’t register. I found this little camera to be what I needed; as I wanted the front and rear cameras all in one unit. I would recommend this dashcam with these multiple cameras working for your protection.
I would recommend this to a friend
