||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek squad tried to warn me about these rexing brand dash cams but I didn’t listen and it’s my worst mistake ever….. they did tell me they’re nice dash cams when they work and I 100 percent agree but they never want to work, it keeps turning on and off while car is on and running or when it’s off without motion ( I do have it connected to a rexing hardwire kit installed by geek squad)

Posted .Hi! Thank you for your review! Your issues can be resolved with a firmware update. Also, if you are using the intelligent hardwire kit, make sure you set parking mode to OFF on your dashcam since the motion box already has it preinstalled.

It’s ok

Not a great product but there are no alternatives.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall not bad but missing a few essential features. It does not record if the car is parked and off that is a big one. Additionally, this camera lacks quality the screen began falling off within the second day I installed it.

I Do not recommend it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not recommend it. I bought it after a lot of research, but I couldn't use it for a week. It simply turned off and wouldn't turn on again. I reset it and it worked, but after 1 week the same thing happened and it wouldn't turn on anymore. I wasted my money on this junk.

DON'T DO IT!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst purchase I have ever made. It has not worked properly since I got it. I am unable to play videos on my phone. I have been working with Rexing for 2 months trying to get it fixed. They even sent me a brand new one. Same problem. They cannot fix it. Horrible tech support if they cannot fix this.

GAVE THIS TOO MANY CHANCES
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love this camera so badly. My sister owns the same model and has been happy with hers so it was bought off recommendation. I returned this camera 3 times within two months. Within those two months, the app connection was non existent, the camera would bug out and half the screen would black out and it began causing me battery issues. I gave up, returned this and bought the R4.

Very good dashcam features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good dashcam from a very well known and reliable brand. It is small and discrete. The main cam and front and cabin cameras, both adjustable up and down and wide angle and QHD. U get a rear camera with a long cord to attach on the back and wire to main camera that can also record QHD. I'm using a 256GB microsd card. Loop recording. Easy to install. Comes with hard wire setup and regular plug in setup. Easy to connect to cam using wifi to review videos using their app. Video quality is very good, day and night. Plates can be seen easily during daytime but not at night. The videos have ur speed and ur gps coordinates. U need to download their computer app to see gps tracking. I have had many Rexings and have been reliable and durable.

V33 has been problematic. PIA.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ongoing problems and repeated calls to support. Test this. Do that. How about a firmware update? Ok, they say. I’ll send you instructions on how to do the firmware update and hope you don’t turn the cam into a brick. If that doesn’t work, call us back and we’ll consider sending you a replacement—uh, a new replacement or a refurbished one..

Expensive but so WORTH IT.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price if and when it goes on sale this is a bargain even if not on sale. Records front, rear and car interior simultaneously and viewable on your interior screen and in stunning 2K. Set up for me was a breeze, tuck the cables in here and there and it was pretty neat and tidy. Some people mention hardwire, ok but overkill unless you want monitoring when not present…like for parking lots, street parking or driveways…but what are you going to really do if you see something…too late to get after the perpetrator. From the site description…Capture sweeping views of your surroundings when driving with this Rexing V33 dashcam. The three-channel dash cam records 2K video resolution simultaneously from the car's front, cabin, and rear. The Rexing V33 also comes with Wi-Fi, voice control, and ADAS features. A built-in GPS logger tracks important metrics in case of a driving incident. V33 dashcam uses a temperature-resistant supercapacitor for added reliability as well. It nice to have an included 64GB card that can loop but I swapped it out for my 256GB as I wanted 2-4 weeks of recordings to be available considering it is recording 3 streams and will probably fill up a 64GB card in few days to a week. The features along with a built in GPS module is fantastic, picture clarity are rock solid and beats my 3 prior dash am easily. This is going into my 2023 car when I get it soon…the iOS app is a god send as well and works as well as the camera. This is the one to get.

Covers all the Angles
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dashcam has all the angles covered: the front, rear, and inside your car. Along with GPS location and speed data this three-camera approach provides the most revealing picture possible of what might have happened in an incident. I really like this design compared to earlier Rexing models as it is an unassuming and sleeker design that blends well with modern car interiors. The rear camera is small and should be easy to hide without blocking your view. The included quick start guide is easy to follow and will get you set up quickly. The rear camera cable disconnects near the camera so that you can first mount the camera to the rear window and then have a much easier time routing the cable from the front to the back of the vehicle. The disconnect is nearly as small as the cord itself which helps to route the cable through tight spaces. In my F-150 I simply removed the kickplates on the door sills and ran the cable alongside the factory cables, then up and behind the backseat to the window. I ran the power cable behind the carpeting of the passengers footwell and into the middle console where the truck has an extra DC power outlet. Included in the box is a wedge-shaped plastic tool that helps you push the cords behind carpeting, pillars, and headliners to conceal the cables like a pro. All three cameras can be angled up or down after being mounted, which is done using 3M adhesive for the front and rear. The adhesive is strong and difficult to remove and reattach so make sure you get the placement correct the first time. The front camera and screen assembly can be removed from the mount, as otherwise it is difficult to remove the tiny microSD card which is in a weird location on top of the unit instead of the side or bottom. Another thing I don’t like is that the power and rear camera cables come out of the side of the unit which is as odd of a placement as the card slot. The cables are supposed to be pushed up into the headliner of the vehicle and routed down the A pillars so why not switch the position of the card slot and cables? In actual use it works very similar to other dashcams I’ve tried in the past. When the unit receives power, it’ll start recording and continue doing so in a loop, overwriting the oldest recordings unless a recording is “locked” either manually by you or the g-force sensor detects an incident and automatically locks it for you. A simple flashing red light confirms that the unit is recording. There are five buttons along the bottom but sadly no touch screen. The first button will turn the screen off so it’s not a distraction while driving. Then there is a menu, up, down, and ok button. The down button serves as a mic mute button, while the ok button will allow you to pause the recording feature. Each camera will create a separate video file which can be played back on the unit itself or you can download the Rexing Connect app to view it over a direct wifi connection from your phone. This works well and will be incredibly useful if you were to witness something and need to easily share the video with someone like the authorities. Each video file is 2560x1440 resolution at 30 frames per second. The quality is like a midrange smartphone from a few years ago and is good enough to be used to prove who is at fault and what happened. However, don’t expect to read license plates unless the car is right in front or behind you. Pros: 3CH 1440p Recording Includes 64gb microSD card and SD adapter GPS Night vision Embeds Timestamp and License Plate number Into Video 18-month warranty Easily Mute Mic or Pause Recording Wifi and App to View/Share videos Cons: Cables stick obnoxiously out the side MicroSD card slot in weird position Parking Monitor feature is a Separate Purchase Overall – I've owned several dashcams including older Rexings and this is one of their best. The biggest issue is the odd design choice of the card slot and cable port placement, the latter of which detracts from the otherwise overall sleek and clean aesthetic. If that doesn’t bother you, then this is a great option for those looking for some peace of mind while on the road.

Rexing V33PLUS is solid
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Rexing V33Plus is very solid. The rearview camera WILL broadcast a mirrored signal to a secondary monitor, such as using another smartphone, iPad, etc., and the quality is very good. The only drawback of the viewing rearview signal in such a fashion is that the external monitor, when switched into landscape mode (which is best for using the 2nd monitor as an aide to your existing rearview mirror), leaves a LARGE white rectangular block on the lower left corner of the display, making it rather irritating visually.

My 1st DashCam
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the title says, this is my very first dashcam. Consequently, I have no frame of reference on how a dashcam should work or expected features. My initial impression, while setting it up, was less than favorable. I mainly had issues with connecting my smartphone to the camera via WiFi and accessing the related app. In following the User Manual, I was able to connect to the camera's WiFi using my phone, but then the instructions are to then open the Rexing Connect app, which I did not yet download because I wasn't previously prompted to. I was unable to do this because my phone's WiFi connection was to the camera and not my home network. So, I disconnected from the camera's WiFi and back to my home WiFi. I scanned the QR code for the app (Google Play Store) in the manual. That brought up a message in the Play Store app, "Something went wrong, Try again". I hit the Try Again button and still nothing. I tried searching for the app and was unable to find it in the app store. I went to Rexing's website to download the app from there. It appeared to download, but when I clicked on it, nothing happened. I searched my downloads folder and could not find it. I have a folder labeled APK Installation Files, and it was not in there either. I tried to download it a few times. (Note that I have successfully downloaded another camera app this way and can see it in my APK folder.) I decided to bypass this step for now. The other thing I had an issue with was switching between camera views on the display. The instructions say to "hold the UP button" to connect to WiFi and to quickly press the UP button to switch views. When I quickly pressed the UP button, it seemed to switched from video mode to picture mode. I couldn't get it to switch views and seemed to be stuck on half screen front view and half screen cabin view. I contacted the company about the issues I was having. Customer support was very responsive and informed me that the app was finally accessible via the Google Play store. I was, in fact, finally able to download and install the Rexing Connect app via the QR code in the manual. I went through the process of connecting to the camera's WiFi via my phone, and was able to see all the recordings that were already on the camera. The app is actually very intuitive and a convenient way to access the video on the camera. Coincidentally, once I was able to finally get the WiFi and app working, the other issue with switching camera views was fixed. The camera takes great video footage. It provides a very wide angle and high quality images. As I mentioned, the app makes it very easy to view and download videos. This is a good thing because physically taking the camera off the mount is a royal pain in the butt. It seems this may be a design flaw. Perhaps redesigning the mount so it has a clip you could push to help release it from the mount would be much better. Despite the issues I initially had, I would recommend this camera for the great videos it takes, the very useful companion app, and the helpful and responsive customer service.

Fantastic Feature Rich Dashcam!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BACKGROUND: I will begin by stating I am not a driver who earns an income on the road. Those individuals may actually require an ongoing record of travel. I am just a driver who has always been intrigued with dashcam technology and had one on my “bucket list”. When I was provided the opportunity to receive, test, and review this dashcam, I just couldn’t pass it up. UNBOXING: No issues here, very well package with detailed instructions. INSTALLATION: For me, the longest part of the installation was determining where to install the front camera. Under the rear view mirror or to the right side, then how low to place it? Goal being able to record and view what is actually being recorded without jeopardizing concentrating on my driving. Well it went to the right of the mirror where it was recommended. Appears I was just over thinking this part… The rear camera went much quicker, basically peal and stick. Using the supplied wire tool, I was able to hide the majority of the power wires for a very tidy installation. SUPPLYING POWER: At the moment I will be using the supplied power adapter (aka cigarette lighter) in my 2019 Impala console. (I am seriously considering the optional power adapter that is required for the parking monitor features.) The rear camera power wire was a tad more challenging to hide. I ran it under the driver side floor board up to the dash, then along the windshield pillar and headliner. My concern here was trying to fish it closer to the side headliner I may have accidentally set off the side airbags that connect to the door pillars. Anyway, it just took about an hour and half for both cameras. SETUP: I had watched a few online installation video’s available on the internet for similar REXING dashcams, so I was very confident on the buttons and their functions. (I would highly suggest others do the same if this is your first dashcam.) Installed the supplied 64gb micro SD card, format it, and you are basically done. Yeah, I played around with the numerous feature options, but ended up just using the majority of default setup. PICTURE QUALITY: I am very impressed with the overall picture quality from all three cameras. Night time video’s included. The inside infrared is more than adequate although in black and white. Will mention that my wife does not wish to be recorded, either audio or video, so the inside camera may end up OFF as my default. ADAS FEATURES: The lane departure ADAS feature is a tad annoying where it will alert you whenever it senses you are changing lanes. (Now if it could somehow be tied into my turn signal so it would not go off when I intentionally want to change lanes, I would be very impressed.) ADAS Front end collision feature, OK I just may keep that one on. WIRELESS: In theory this is a very cool feature to be able to view and/or download recorded videos without needed to remove the micro-SD card. But in reality, I will just remove the SD card when needing to transfer videos because they would be stored on my Window’s based laptop for viewing if/when required. (At the moment, I have no need or desired to keep or view videos on my android phone. Nor have I ever had a need to upload videos to YouTube or similar platforms. But hey, that’s me…) IN CLOSING: Like any new “tech toy”, I tend to play with the new features and options seeing what is available and tweaking a preferred setup. But once I determine what works for me, the “toy” is then just used for its intended purpose. In this case, having the ability to record and play back traffic conditions that may have caused an accident. And or anything humorous that I believe other family members would enjoy. .
