Device did not work, had to replace twice before concluding it was a crap product. Huge waste of time

Rexing always makes good quality dash cameras and their new V5 Plus is no exeption. They’re not perfect, this dash cam has a lot of features. The biggest selling point is that it does record in 4K, but only the front facing camera, the rest record at 1080p. Included is a 32GB card, and supports memory cards up to 256GB’s. 32GB is the minimum someone should have with this kind of camera but it does the job, it will record for a pretty long time to the point where if anything happens you can always look back at your videos without worrying that it got deleted. Each of the three cameras (front, cabin, and rear) have their own folder when viewing the your recorded videos which makes it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for. All the standard features are here, wide angle recording, built-in Wi-Fi, automatic on and off, 2.7in LCD screen (the back of the box says 3inches but thats wrong, I measured) App Control, built-in GPS, voice control, loop record, and collision sensing, 3-channel, All good features to have. If you download the app, you’re able to quickly and easily few your videos, at least in theory. The app is not the best right now, pairing it with my iPhone was difficult, but I am guessing an update would fix a lot of the issues. You can also view the videos on the camera itself, you just have to remove it from the windshield. Or you can view videos on your computer at home by removing the memory card and inserting it into your Computer.

I always have a dash cam in my daily driving car. Dash cam is very important and might serve as witness in some situations. Mine did for many times. This dash cam is not your average one. Starting with the installation that it would require some skills to be done properly. This dash cam kit is very generous offering 3 channels: front, cabin and rear. While you might not want to install all the 3 cameras, having them installed might be very helpful (especially for Uber people). Common Dash Cam used to be installed on the front windshield using a suction cup. This one uses 3M tapes to be mounted. Therefore, you have to be careful finding the best installation point. Don't worry about the direction of the Camera as the lense direction is adjustable. A very lovely feature. Installing the camera and passing all the wires in the headliner was not that hard but also not that easy. I passed the wires to the rear camera using electric wires fisher rod. It wasn't that hard since my car is a hatchback. I removed the headlights and passed the wire to the rear. Camera software is easy to use. WiFi is less problematic (when compared with older model dash cams). Recording quality is fine. Cameras are wide angle. I like the rear camera quality. Still acceptable. I set mine to 1 min recording loop. It is easier to find events on 1 min. Dash cam kit came with 32GB Micro SD card. Night mode images are acceptable. This is my first Dash Cam where you actually (often) can see the license plate numbers and be able to guess/read them properly. I might not keep the internal camera module connected. It freaks people sometimes. It is ok. I have the rear and front doing great job. I like the parking mode a lot. Almost like Tesla sentry mode... Do I recommend it? Well, Sure! This Dash Cam kit might give you more than what you really need as eye witness but it is still essential to have if you spend long time on the roads (like me).

I currently have a Street Guardian 2021 version dash camera system in one of my vehicles but had become aware of the Rexing products during my search of the best system to get. Since I had been looking to get a dash camera for our other vehicle I knew I wanted to give Rexing a shot. Low & behold I was offered the V5 Plus to test as a part of the Tech Insider Network. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to try this Rexing system! While my other system is a 1080p dual camera system, I had wanted to try one that had an in cabin camera. The image quality of this Rexing system is stellar & I have been very impressed even compared to my SG system. I do need to update where I have this system mounted on the front windshield because I do not like exactly where it is since I have the in cabin camera positioned all the way down & it still records the rear view mirror. So definitely be mindful of that. It is NOT a flaw of the system and is just poor planning on my part. The build quality of the dash cam, in cabin cam, rear cam & included cabling, mounts, etc is all superb. Rexing is absolutely amazing & so their products feel very nice. Included is a 32gb micro SD card but I had a spare 128gb laying around that I tested with as well. It is a cheap no name brand but it worked well too. The Rexing app for connecting to the camera via my smartphone is sleek & looks nice as well. I like it much better than the SG app. All in all I am extremely happy with the Rexing V5 Plus and will continue to be a Rexing fan going forward!

I absolutely love the fact that this is 4K and has GPS built in. This covers all of your areas. Front, back, cabin. The quality is good at night and AM. It has an auto-save feature when the camera shakes too much too to help avoid deleting vital video. It's not ugly to look at either inside your car and can easily look OEM. This might just be the best dashcam I've ever used so far.

This my first dash cam. It took me for a while to figure out how it work. It was easy to install. Clear picture quality: As advertised, this is a 4K picture quality dashcam. Price was more than affordable. The app is really easy to use as well. I 100% recommend this product to everyone. If you are looking for a dash cam like me, it is worth a shot.

After a couple of months, it stops working. I would reset the camera and calibrate the sd card, and it will work again for a while. But on my way home today, someone hit me on my rear passenger side and ran. Of course, my first reaction was to pull up the camera and watch the video. For some reason, the dang thing had not even been recording! It showed on the screen like it was while I was driving, but apparently, it did not actually record. It did not record when they hit me. It only recorded after I pulled over on the side of the road and stopped. This camera is supposed to help with incidents like this. Now I feel like I wasted all this money on this thing getting the 360 view. I paid over $300 for this camera, and I would expect it to work! Now, whoever hit and run me hopefully will not get away with it, but unfortunately, they may! Do not waste your money!

Read this, do more research first. I purchased a Rexing V5 camera, a suction cup mount, and extra adhesive mounts. The camera had the features I was looking for, but there were problems. The hardwire kit does not include micro fuse adapters that some Ram truck use, so it will not work unless you have another method of connection. The rest of the installation was straightforward, but the instructions are horrible. Once the connections were made and tested, I had continuous power and switched power as required. While using the camera it rebooted itself, sometimes multiple times in a row. Rexing suggested that I download and update the firmware, which I did (it was already at the same version). It was also suggested that the SD card might be causing the problem, so I purchase a very expensive card to replace the one that was included with the camera, followed the instructions to format, and soon after starting the camera, it began rebooting again. It appeared that once the card was full, the overwrite function did not work and reboots started. Additionally, the gps never told the speed, always read 0, also I had to reset the clock many times and it never stayed at the correct time zone. With all of these problems, the decision was made to return this defective product. But that was not the end of the issues. Rexing supplied a shipping label, I placed the three items into the box and returned them, the defective camera and the mount and adhesive since without the camera they were useless. I had exchanged several emails with them stating that I would not pay shipping because it was their issue. The refund was issued, they deducted a $9.99 restocking fee from each product. The restocking fee was greater than the price of two of the products. If I had no choice but to pay the fee, I would have kept those products. My advice is to do more research, I found a camera from a company that answers questions immediately, has a better user interface, and has better reviews. I did end up paying a little more, but having a product that works makes the difference. I won’t say the company name, but it sounds like gROVEr. If in doubt, compare their owner’s manual to the one rexing supplies, that alone should make up your mind.

The Wi-fi does not work well. You won't have videos on your phone or camera working on the phone. I had to unplug & plug the cord on and off in order for the camera to roll. quality is not as promised. They can do better providing more adhesive stick on, considering how long the cord is to the rear camera.

I just installed this last week so i don't have a lot of experience to base this on. But the picture is crystal clear and it's very easy to use and set up. So far, so good.
