Great Concept. Poor Execution.

I regret that decision due to their mediocre customer service. The unit I received is either defective or has firmware that is only half-baked and there is no update available. The unit will sometimes restart randomly and the GPS doesn’t record speed/position on the videos properly. As much as I love the idea of having front, rear, and cabin cameras recording I will probably downgrade to the 4K V1 until Rexing fixes the firmware for this model.

Junk product. Stay away

The Ok button doesn't stop recording. The menu button does nothing. Power cycled many times and it starts magically working again. Navigate through the menu for a few minutes and it stops responding again. Purchased the cabin camera separately. Installed it and no cabin view whatsoever. Reset mutiple times and the behavior remains the same. App does nothing. Connects but randomly disconnects and tells me connection is poor even though phone is litterally next to it. Quick Start guide was no help. Seemed to be written by a 5 year old. Returned. Second time purchased weeks after returning the first thinking it was just a lemon. Same exact problem. Seemed as if they had just given me back the unit I returned. I'm a super tech savvy IT person so this was no rocket science. The first time I didn't test the voice commands but did so the second time. It was more reliable than the manual buttons but still not 100% functional. Still unable to get the cabin camera to do anything. I bet it is probably just a firmware issue but none has been available. Don't know how so many people are having positive experiences with this product. I've had more complex networking issues less frustrating than this junk. Another company with no quality control or poor testing.

REXING, a company to avoid.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In Oct 2021 I started down the path of REXING with their V5 Dashcam. Today, March 3rd we called truths. They won't honor a full reimbursement on their faulty camera and I won't waste any more money or time dealing with a company that chooses to hide, intentionally turning off their phones, and have limited chat to deal with problems. After multiple emails (Dare say over 50) they in their professional words told me to pound sand. This last issue was after trying to contact them with a problem with the new, just out-of-the-box rearview V5 camera and they simply were not accessible. I finally used their online system to return the unit as DOA. After the fact they told me they know they have a problem with their dashcam and asked me to return it so they can replace it. I am waiting for what shows as in the mail. That is the main replacement dashcam. I will admit the picture is great, the company is Poor. (1 star). Unfortunately, the interface software is VERY weak and REXING is choosing not to give access to third parties for playback software. I am out a 1/3 of the cost of the rear camera they choose not to replace or return. As soon as the dashcam shows up I will sell it on eBay. There are not many companies that are this hard to work with. As I looked deeper into REXING there are many with similar concerns on the BBB website. My recommendation is to steer clear of REXING.

Decent

I’ve been seeing a lot of negative stuff about this dash cam and the only bad thing I’ve noticed so far is connecting through the app. It doesn’t allow me and I’m not the only one who has struggled. Why hasn’t the company addressed this? Overall quality is good, not a huge camera, wires are out of sight for me since I had it professionally installed. Its OK

Great 3in 1 camera, just what I was looking for.

less pain from the cheaper dashcams then this one

Customer support is emails every two days no live calls. the only way you will have 4K videos is if you only use the main cam. the gps and wifi turn off everytime you turn off your car unless you buy the additional hardwire kit. overall i would buy a better quality dashcam from a more well know company.

Could have more bells and whistles but love it

Manufacture problema (Frozen Screen)

However, it is not a good camera it has so many problems. It’s difficult to connect to the app and the wifi keeps disconnecting. This is the 2ND v5 plus I had to get in less than a week, both cameras have froze on me and there is no way to restart because the reset button doesn’t do anything. Screen goes in and out too.

High price for a lackluster device.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried to upgrade from the v3, but this one feels like an expensive downgrade. Some features are missing, such as the option to change the recording time, and loop recording, both of which are not anywhere in the settings. Parking monitor does not work at all, even with the hardwire kit installed. Parking mode worked fine on my v3, and now the v5 stays on constantly. I switched around the fuses to the point where it turns on and off with the ignition, but still, parking monitor does not work. GPS and the speedometer freezes and stops working. The modular in-cabin camera has a purple tint on black or dark objects, such as a shirt or seat, even during the day.This camera has been out for some time now, and still no fix or firmware update. Returning this tomorrow, and going back to my old one until I can find a better 3 channel device. It's hard to justify to pay a premium price for something that has less or missing features.

Some problems but great camera

Poor product with known unaddressed issues.

Unit stays on a few minutes then goes to start up screen. Spent half the next day trying to fix problem. Went online and discovered the start up screen freeze was quite prevalent. Rexing’s solution offered to most post was “to start the warranty process, send us an email with proof of purchase and a description of the problem.” I am returning to Best Buy. I will not use or recommend Rexing.

Had first unit 3 weeks, had to return froze up and couldn't use, was replaced and then froze again couldn't use at all, return for refund, junk, looks great, too bad it doesn't work, expensive and not worth the money, don't buy it! 7/19/2022

Dont buy

I hate this camera i lost focus on driving due rexing v5 dashcam. Lost money on parking kit and installation NOT worth a 10 dollar.
