    This dashcam fails to record during critical events. It did not capture anything when my car was broken into or during an accident. Despite having a 24x7 wire kit plugged into the socket, it still did not record anything. UI is terrible takes forever to connect with phone. Videos wont load

      HI! Thank you for your review and I am very sorry to hear about your incident. The device is not recording while the car is off if the device is plugged into the cigarette socket. If you have any of the hardwire kits, you would need the Intelligent to allow for motion detecting which would have picked up someone breaking into your car. If you are using the SMART hardwire kit, that may not have been a strong enough vibration to turn the camera on. rexingusa

    Stopped working less than a year and bust buy couldn't care less. Screw best buy. I will never buy from them best buy.

    My advuce to anyone considering the V5C is to safe yourself the trouble of a bad experience both with the product and it’s useless technical support. The camera bricked within the first few days of ownership. Rexings support has not helped and im lest with a useless product I can’t return since i’m past thr retun period. Stay away!!!

    Do not buy any Rexing camera, this was my 4th camera from rexing in 1 Year. They all had problems. This particular one here V5C Plus, woild be stuck rebooting right out of the box. You will regret buying Rexing cameras.

    This thing reboots every few minutes for no reason, and the video quality is subpar. Also, this camera does NOT have a battery. It shuts off immediately when power is lost. Even sub $30 dash cams from unknown Chinese brands have an internal battery so the recording is not interrupted in case of power loss.

    Very nice dash cam from Rexing. It does come with a 64gb memory card. Installing it was not that hard i ran the wire through the gaps in the dashboard of the car and then to the passenger side and tucked it in the windshield area on top . It does come with a cigarette lighter adapter and the wire is like 10 feet I'm not sure exactly but it's long . In my case i have only 1 in the car so now i needed to get an adapter so I can use my phone charger adapter with the USB ports on it. I wish they gave a USB cable on both ends versus the cigarette lighter. my charger adapter has 4 USB ports i could have just used that to power the dash cam. It uses the old USB mini plug to the dash cam that's another downside because I did find a USB to USB mini cable but it didn't power the dash cam. That would be the only drawback to this dashcam. Now using the dashcam was pretty easy it records as soon as you start the car. You can mute the mic, you can turn off the screen and keep recording. Both cameras can be manually positioned to get the inside of the car and and get the whole windshield on your LCD screen. It connects to the phone using the wifi, they give you the name and password . The cam does have gps . You can take pictures with it and also watch the screen from your phone and transfer the files to the phone. It's just those other things that made me give it 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that its awesome. Last thing you can add a rear camera or get the one that is bundled with the rear camera.

    Charging cable and port melted within 2 weeks while ubering. They only give you 2 weeks to return, now I’m out $150.

Please go through the folder carefully, when you insert the sd card on a desktop/laptop and for best results, use VLC Player to play the video.     The dash camera malfunctioned right out of the box. I received a full refund. Because of this bad experience, I will never buy a dashcam from this brand.

    Was testin out in the house before installing in car, camera was extremely hot already, i would not but that in the windshield of a car, no wonder their are so many reviews of them dieing after a couple of months

    The Quality is not 4k the video is crap. When you connect to the dash cam you can not play music thur your phone you have to disconnect from the camera. Not worth buying. My $37 Amazon dash cam was 10x better.
