Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The camera quality itself is fine and the 5Ghz wifi allows fast downloads. But there is a critical bug. The date and time on the dash cam gets offset exactly by 1 day (i.e. today's recordings are stored with yesterday's date). I have already updated to the latest firmware, checked the daylight savings and timezone settings but this problem keeps happening after every night. I think there might be a bug in the firmware since the camera seems to be getting the date and time correctly from the GPS but is always subtracting the date by a day. Unless Rexing can solve this issue, this would be best avoided.

Poor user interface, lack of basic options

There is no button to press to save recording. You have to turn on the wifi on the camera to log in through the app every time you want to review videos. The app is subpar with minimal settings for camera. You can’t review the video directly on the camera. Given the price, this camera has a lot less settings and controls compared to cheaper options.

If you press the up arrow key, you can lock that current video segment.
Unfortunately the V5's do not allow you to adjust the loop recording, but we have a wide variety of other models that do give you the option.

The small screen makes alpha-numeric figures to small to read. I wanted something that gives lane position and closing range of cars ahead. Took item back.

Don’t Purchase

Without this you can’t turn on the Wi-Fi feature to stream footage to your phone. The rear camera view didn’t work on this either. I tried calling the manufacturer, i experienced super long hold times. When given the call back feature, i never got a call back. Hopefully I can get a credit for the camera so i can go with a different brand.

Many issues, poor service. compare user manuals with other brands, this will show the true difference. I recommend a company that sounds like gROVEr. Much better quality. Google rexing camera restarting, it is a common problem
