Metallica second album, ride the lightning is still a masterpiece after all these decades. This or master of puppets is where all new Metallica fan should start out. This remaster CD sounds excellent and is only out done by the high res version.

For such a low price these reissues sound amazing. There's a more dynamic range with a better lower frequency/bass added to it that has been missing for years.

This is a great classic trash metal album from the best Metallica era (1983-1991) and one of the greatest metal albums of all time. Definitely a must have.

Ride the Lightning is an essential part of any album collection. "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "Fade to Black" are my favorite Metallica songs.

Bought this to use in my car, I've been missing that feeling of shopping for a CD and actually touching the product instead of everything digital.

In the age of digital music buying a cd doesn't seem worth it, but this remastered version sounds great. Also I always like a physical cd as back up.

I cannot tell any difference in this remastered version compared to any of the others. I do like the new digipaks, in some instances. This is a cheaper version of the modern digipak or what they now call a slip case but it seems to be ok.. big difference between zaps Physical Graffiti slipcase and these Metallica ones...

Like I said, it's my favorite by them, 8 great songs, especially Fade to Black. An awesome thrash album

If you're a Metallica fan, this (along with all of them) is a must own cd! Music quality is awesome and the songs are true Heavy Metal!

We all know this is one of the best thrash metal records of all time, up there with Reign in Blood and so for $5.99 its a great deal
