Hi fruend I know you read this reviews cz this one right here is what you really want to to find in a 80 dollars headset for gaming. Sound clear so clear and beautiful comfortable I never buy items for brands that's no good. I buy for details specs this one right I spent time in store lisent all headsets and this one I order it right away. I found is the most loud I can enjoy. This all time. The connection is only for PS4 and laptops not for. iPhones or phones. As I know. Maybe a adapter is required.
You tube elpistolero5.
Real 1 the best for now. I buy others check my review and Razer and G433 are weak on the side this one. Plantronics

The Rig 500 pro hs is an awesome headset for gamers looking to get in the action with out breaking your bank. While there are so many different competitive headsets to choose from it can sometimes get confusing on deciding which headset might be right for you. Hopefully this review will help in deciding if this is going to be the right fit for you and what to expect from the Rig 500 series.
First lets talk about what you can expect to receive out of the box. Your going to get the headset itself, mic(which is flexible), and a 3.5mm audio cable which houses the volume control near the end of the cable close to the jack. The ear cups have three different height adjustments available to you as you can see in one of the pictures i have uploaded. The earcups sit a roller type push release. Simply apply pressure on the earcup to pull out and place at your desired height. The headphones themselves don't pull out for adjustment as you would see on a typical style audio headset but rather they adjust almost automatically in way by a flexible top band. The mic plugs directly in to the headset on the left side and operates the mic on/off switch by simply pulling down the mic. This is actually a pretty cool feature that my other headsets don't offer. Simply pull the mic down when you wanna talk and it will enable voice chat. When your down talking slide the mic back up and out of the way and voice chat is automatically disabled. There are no buttons to push. Now me personally i prefer to game with wireless headsets just due to the fact that the wires are usually bulky and long and tend to get in the way and become annoying very fast. This headset utilizes a very thin and small 3.5mm audio cable which actually hooks up on the back side of the headphones and then runs down to whatever audio device you wish to hook up. This headset can be used with anything that has a 3.5mm port which includes ps4, xbox, pc, cellphones and tablets to name a few. The headphones appear to be a closed back design which means it will greatly help in reducing outside noise pollution however do not expect it to isolate all outside noise. Now the frame design is very thin plastic which had me taken back a little bit. At first sight they look very cheap and easily broken however after 3 straight hours of gaming i did not have to re-adjust the headset due to a comfort issue so i'll chalk that up to the thin plastic design. To be quite honest these are the most comfortable gaming headset i think i own when compared to the other two i own. Since the comfort level is so good i'll be forgiving on the cheap looking design. Now there is one thing i noticed out of the box. The instructions that came with this show that the cushion earcups are held together by what looks like magnets and can be easily removed by pulling them apart. That is not the case on this set up, i tried pulling them apart and they would not give. I stopped trying because it felt like the fabric was going to rip. I want to bring this up so that you are aware that there are different models in the 500 series. This is the Pro HS which is there lower end and not the Esport series. Just make sure you are aware of that.
Enough about that lets dive in and talk about functionality and just how well the mic and audio drivers perform. First off mic function is great. Voice chat is crystal clear and people never once struggled to hear what i was saying. Now i tested the audio part on two devices. My ps4 pro and my galaxy s9 plus. While playing on the ps4 pro i was pleasantly surprised by just how quick and easy set was. All you need to do is simply plug it in to your controller directly below the touch pad and boom your ready to go. And this is where that volume control feature was kinda of nice. Since the volume control sits near the end of the cable near the jack that means volume control is going to be very close to your hands. The turn dial volume control is going to actually sit right between the two joysticks making it to where you have very minimal arm flow from your had to the volume control. This means you make a quick adjustment with out having to worry about losing too much hand placement on your controller while gaming. Now while this set up did well for the ps4 it annoyed me quickly while listening to music on my s9 plus. When i play MMOs and have to grind i usually like to listen to music off my phone to help pass the time. I decided rather than using two different headsets i'll just swap this over to my phone and see how well it does. It hooks up fine and audio is great but the problem i had is now that volume control became a nuisance. Every time i would skip a track and lay it back down on my lap or put it in my pocket the roll dial volume control would be moved and the volume would either go too low or too high. At the end of the night i got so annoyed by this that i ended up grabbing my regular audio headset to stream my music and put the RIG 500 aside. The set up works GREAT for console gaming but not so great for streaming music off a phone or tablet. Now lets talk audio quality after all part of gaming is being able to be submersed in a game by both visual and audio. I was expecting the quality to be terrible due to the fact that this is a budget friendly designed but i was actually very surprised by how good it sounds. The sound quality you can expect to get is going to be leaning more towards clarity and high res and less towards deep bass. So take for example call of duty. As i was playing i could hear the footsteps hitting the ground so crisp and clean that i felt i could almost hear the leaves tearing. As the bullets flew by or were released from my high power rifle the sound quality was clear and not muffled by any type of distortion or feedback. I felt that i could almost hear metal rubbing on metal as the bullet left the barrel, that's how clear the audio is. Now the bass is definitely lacking and that's the part where you start to see the price difference come in to play. Whenever an explosion took place and i was close enough in the game to receive damage from it i would clinch in anticipation expecting to hear that big bass rumble in my speakers. That big bass drop sadly never came. Don't get me wrong there is some bass but you can definitely hear the lack of significant bass quality as the audio drivers struggle to push it out. Now im a big fan of deep rich bass and in most situations this would upset me. In this situation however i wasn't too upset due to the fact the audio quality was so clean that i almost felt like i had expensive High Def headphones on.
Here's my final verdict. Is this the best sounding or best design on a headset? No. But is it the worst? No. I gave this headset 5 stars simply because i feel it performs better than i was expecting for its price point. You have to always consider that you get what you pay for and at this price point i was actually comparing this headset to another one i had bought 6 months prior that cost about the same. My other headset is cheaply made, the mic is not adjustable and sound quality is just horrible. This headset has a very comfortable design with audio quality that i would expect to see once you starting getting to the upper end price ranges. The use of a low profile audio cable and volume control that is easy to access during gaming adds even more to the value. The on/off mic automated feature is nice and takes away from the distraction of having to find buttons while gaming. Another thing about this set up that i may of forgotten to mention is its versatility with other devices. I like to play Final Fantasy xiv on the ps4 which is a MMO and since im on the ps4 im forced to use discord on my cellphone. I now have an audio device that works perfectly with Discord on my phone for gaming. All in all this is a great product at this price point and quite frankly im surprised it doesn't cost more. Pick it up if your on a budget and you should be pretty happy with it.
pros:
-Good volume control placement for PS4 and Xbox gaming
- Great high res audio
-Very comfortable
-Mic turns on automatically depending on its position
Cons:
- Lack of deep bass
- Flimsy frame design
- Volume placement can be annoying for tablet or phone use

Outstanding Comfort and Sound Quality!

This gaming headset is an amazing value that excels at the two most critical requirements for a headset: Comfort and Sound Quality.
Comfort
This is hands down the most comfortable headset I have ever used. The comfort is due to the ear cups being so soft, the adjustable frame, and self-adjusting headband. It is so comfortable and lightweight that you can forget you are even wearing it!
Sound Quality
The sound quality of these headphones are exceptional and comparable to other more expensive headsets. They really sound that good!
Setup and Useage
The headset came nearly full assembled. The only extra step was to insert the removable microphone boom.
I really like that the microphone is removable, even though I will keep the microphone attached because it neatly extends upward when not in use. When in the up position, the microphone is muted so you know it is off.
The volume is adjustable by using a knob on the connector. This allows you to adjust the volume easily by turning the audio dial.
Verdict
I can't recommend this gaming headset more strongly! It has amazing comfort and souund quality.
Insider Tips
This headset is marketed as being for the PS4, but uses a standard 3.5 mm connector so it can be used with most other devices.
The connector that seamlessly fits the PS4 controller, has a removable sloped attachment next to the audio dial. If you remove the attachment, the connector will connect flatly with other devices.

The Rig 500 Pro headset for PlayStation 4 is a pretty good sounding gaming headset. I’ve had the pleasure of gaming with them for a the past couple of days and I have to say that they sound pretty good. When connected to my PS4 controller through 3.5mm jack they don’t get extremely loud (a good thing) and the sound is pretty balanced overall. The highs and mids aren’t too tinny and the bass is perfect. They don’t exactly thump but the bass is noticeable. You’ll feel Explosions, and rumbles against your ears and head. When playing shooters, the stereo sound is immersive and you can hear and distinguish where footsteps and bullets are being fired from. I think this headset is one of the better sounding headsets I’ve used in recent times. Build quality is above average for this price range and the materials used feel premium. I like that the ear cups are removeable and adjustable. The strap on the headband is comfortable and accommodates just about any skull size. The ear cup padding is excellent and comfortable. I played 5 hours straight and my ears did not get hot or tired. They are great for marathon gaming sessions. My only complaint about this headset is that I have been unable to use them with anything other than my
PlayStation 4. The 3.5mm jack will not plug into any of the other devices I’ve tried. The curved volume knob makes it difficult to plug it into a anything other than the PlayStation controller. I know these are dedicated gaming headphones but it’s alwags nice to use headphones for media / music consumption. I do love being able to adjust the volume with the flick of my thumb, Also it’s great being able to mute the mic by flipping it upward.my friend all said that my voice sounded loud and clear with the microphone included. All in all, I’d recommend this headset if you’re looking for an affordable pair of great sounding gaming headphones.

When this headset arrived I was excited I am due for a new headset. My previous headset broke, I opened up the packaging and didn't think much of this headset because it looks like most other headsets out on the market. But I was wrong and I'll tell you why.
Here is what I love about the headset
- Headband is a soft comfortable fabric
- Ear cups are a soft material
- Detachable mic and 3.5 mm jack
- Can be used with Xbox and PC as well due to the 3.5 mm jack
- Comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions
- Material seems durable it is plastic but not a cheap plastic
- Volume knob is awesome
There are a few things I am no sure how to feel about.
The detachable items like the mic and headphone jack are those sold separately should you happen to lose them? This is a valid concern especially for those who attend gaming tournaments or for those who prefer using their own equipment when gaming. How about the jack that comes with the headset is that replaceable as well? I have a mischievous pet that has destroyed some of my gaming accessories.
The sound is not the absolute best but it could definitely use some more bass for sure.
Overall I have put about 45- 58 hours roughly on this headset. I am loving this headset so far. It has the same issue as with all over the ear headsets ear sweat... but that is not a deal breaker it is just a persistent problem with all over the ear headphones and headsets. While it is advertised as a PS4 headset I just happen to enjoy using it more on my Xbox due to the weird way audio is routed to headsets on the PS4 it is a software thing. FYI this headset works with the newer Xbox controllers with the 3.5mm headphone jack not the original Xbox one controllers.
Despite the few concerns I have with this headset I still say it is a solid and comfortable headset. When shopping for headsets Plantronics normally does not come to mind but that is about to change if they keep improving on this headset.

Must Have For Gaming

If you’re looking for a decently priced gaming headset without having to resort to eBay, then this is a must. Initial thoughts out of the box were positive. The feel, comfort and volume of this headset are great. It doesn’t have a built in base, but it really didn’t bother me.
Mic: Durable, flexible and plugs into the headset. It seems more durable in design compared to my more expensive headset. It’s pretty cool because you can turn it on/off simply by moving it up and down. Chatting was pretty good, I tested it out with COD and my team members seemed to hear me just fine.
Plug/Wire: It goes directly into the PS4 controller. It may seem bulky into the control, but you can adjust the volume turning a knob at the point where it goes in. Turning the knob left/right adjusts the volume. The wiring is thin and light weight. I’m sure some fellow gamers prefer wireless, but the wire didn’t interfere with my gaming. It’s lightweight, bendable and a good length.
Sound Quality: I’m very pleased with the quality of sound for the cost of these headphones. I was able to hear some greater details that I normally didn’t catch.
Comfort: I wear glasses and I’m pleased to say this headset didn’t feel uncomfortable. There’s a band that helps keep a great fit. I have larger sized head and it didn’t make the headphones feel uncomfortable.
Overall this is a great gaming headset for this price. I strongly recommend!

So I've been an avid gamer since Atari days. Long before there were headsets or multiplayer or first person shooters haha The ability to hear your opponents footsteps as they go around you in a game is crucial and can mean the difference between getting the kill or being killed. This set has really nice sound. It's very lightweight and comfortable to wear if you wanna for an extended gaming session.
It's powered by plugging into your controller which is both a pro and con.. no long wires to tangle with but at the same time it's going to shorten your playtime of your controller unless you have a 2nd or spare controller.
I have been used to the internal mics of Sony headsets so I don't particularly like the boom mic that comes with this set .For the price though it's a nice step up from the included ear piece and mic. And the build quality is definitely made for comfort. Overall I would recommend this for an avid gamer or those playing fps shooters.

Not wired, not wireless but still good

This headset isn't completely wired/wireless. Unlike some of the older headphones with 15ft long cables that plug into the USB port, this one isn't like that. The only part of the headset that's wired is from the headset to the controller. Power is drawn from the controller so there is going to be a little less play time as a result. The design of the headset is pretty cool looking. It's pretty lightweight so it's not too noticeable when playing for a few hours. Sound is surprisingly good. still undecided if it's soundwhoring good quality but playing Destiny 2, I can easily hear footsteps, rustling and water drops. I previously used the Sony Gold wireless headset and these definitely sound better than those. Can't quite compare it Astros or Turtle Beach headset since I haven't used them in awhile.
Nothing bad to say about these but a couple annoyances with this headset are;
The adjustable headband is comfortable however for people with big heads, like me, this isn't quite as comfortable as I would like. The frame seems a tad narrow at the top for my tastes. You'll definitely get some headphone hair with this headset. I managed to get the headset on comfortably however it's pretty snug.
Since the volume control is plugged into the controller, the rotary knob for the volume is easily manipulated so you'll probably increase/decrease volume accidentally quite a few times while playing.
On the upside, since you don't have the charge this headset, it's a big plus for me since I'm always forgetting to charge my headset. They look good and they have quite good sound quality. They're also relatively inexpensive compared to other more popular brands out there.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our RIG 500 PRO HS Headset. Please note this model has an analog 3.5mm jack to connect to the controller, therefore the headset itself doesn't charge so play time decrease should be minimal. We're sorry to hear you didn't find your headset comfortable to wear, please make sure you try adjusting the headband by removing the ear cups. We thank you for your comments. These will be shared with our Product Development team as we appreciate feedback based on customer use. I’m incredibly picky when it comes to headsets because I often have issues with them causing inner ear pain for one reason or another. I also have a fairly large head, so it can be difficult to find something that fits nicely and doesn’t bother my ears. While this headset is a little bit snug for my melon, the way they did the ear cups with part of them being a cloth material is great. I can wear these for a couple of hours without them feeling like they’re suction cupped to my ears or lighting them on fire. I’d love if they had one looser setting, but overall the fit and feel is great.
On the sound spectrum I would love a bit more low end oomph, but this set probably conjures up one of the best “clean” soundscapes I’ve heard in a gaming headset. It never ceases to amaze me how detailed game environments can be. Sound location also seems quite good as well. Particularly if you make sure your in game audio options are appropriately set. These aren’t surround sound and as such you’ll want to make sure the options are set to stereo.
All in all, I’m satisfied with these. If I had to justify only a 4 star rating I’d say I would have loved them to be a tiny bit more loose and a touch more prominent on the low end. As they are, however, they are good - maybe even great. They just aren’t quite perfect for me. Super close though. Don’t hesitate to buy.

Very happy with this headset so far for the cost of it. The sound quality is what you’d expect in a headset in this price range. They are quite comfortable for extended amounts of time and don’t make your ears hot. The volume on the audio jack is nice for quick volume changes when needed. The mute via lifting the mic is also a nice subtle touch. Overall, I’d say they’re hard to beat in the <$100 headset market

Actually pretty nice for the price, especially when on sale.
Has it’s own method of adjustment/durability that I’d never seen, but should prove to make it harder to break. Rather than cracking, an ear cup would just pop out of the frame.
I get great sound space accuracy while playing COD Cold War. To the point where I can be firing as someone’s footsteps put them coming around a corner or doorway. Just hope it’s not a friendly! Lol

Light weight, very comfortable. Works very well with the Astro C40 controller. The mic blocks out excessive wind noise from a fan. The sound and mic quality are very good
