Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the 800 Pro HX Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox, particularly its sound quality, comfortable fit, and impressive battery life. The lightweight design, wireless connectivity, and snug fit also contribute to a positive user experience. However, some customers have reported occasional connection issues, and a few find the volume and bass to be less than ideal.

RIG’s 800 ProHX Wireless Headset and Charging Stand is their latest offering. This headset is compatible with Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC’s with Windows 10/11. The one-size-fits-most, adjustable, cushioned head strap with soft, padded, over-the-ear cups is extremely comfortable and prevents sore ears during extended play. Extremely lightweight at 10.9 ounces it is durably built and feels like it will be able to withstand the physical exertion that both winning and losing cause a headset to endure. Or is my house the only one where these headsets take quite a bit of abuse? The on/off button, volume control, and mic monitoring volume control are all located on the left earpiece and easily reached and the sound is crisp, clear, and undistorted even when turned all the way up. Included is a card that directs you to activate Dolby Atmos for Headphones by downloading the free Dolby Access app from the Microsoft Store. My RIG 500 PROs have this feature also and Dolby Atmos definitely enhances your gaming experience by making it more immersive and three-dimensional. My friends report that the uni-directional, noise-cancelling mic sounds clearer than when I use my wired RIG 500 PRO. The mic conveniently flips up to mute sound and feels fairly substantial. However, it is not removable, meaning it is not replaceable, in case of mic failure or damage. The charging dock provides a convenient, safe place for storage. It has a removable USB wireless adaptor that can be plugged directly into your gaming system or computer. The adapter can also be stored on the base, which will help prevent it from being misplaced. The charging cable included is USB-A to Micro-USB and you can charge via the base or directly on the headset both of which have a charge indicator on them. RIG claims up to a 30 ft. wireless range, which I find to be dependent on an unobstructed path between the headset and the base. They also contend that one charge will provide a 24 hr. battery life. I have yet to prove or disprove this claim but I am about 12 hours of play into my first charge and have 40% battery left. The connection while playing was basically lag-free but I did experience several instances when the connection was randomly broken for an unknown reason. Each time it happened it did reconnect on it’s own within seconds. Overall this headset definitely meets, if not exceeds my expectations and I will definitely be recommending it and possibly gifting it at Christmas.

I had the RIG 800s for a long time and they worked great. I exchanged these once because the microphone didn't work at all and now my second one keeps going in and out. It's not useable as a headset. Sound quality is great.

      Hello CheyRicha,
We apologize you are having an issue with your RIG 800 PRO HX wireless headset. Any chance your WiFi router is near your gaming setup? If so, they both operate on 2.4GHz digital wireless and WiFi wireless routers can interfer with the audio signal. To fix this, simply create a bit more space between your wireless router and your wireless headset setup. If that doesn't help, please contact Nacon Customer Support at support.us@nacongaming.com or 1-833-622-6687 for further assistance. Thank you for choosing RIG gaming audio from Nacon. nacon-fr

Probably one of the worst headsets I've got in terms of a built-in feature: The microphone. It's extremely sensitive and there is no way to configure it to not pick up on breathing. I use discord quite often and it didn't matter which discord settings I used, which mic setting to use, it was either: 1. no one can hear me 2. everyone can hear everything I do. There is no "software" like most, if not all other headsets have which allow some kind of settings customizations. It's a shame because the sound quality is 10/10, but being as this is a GAMING headset and not a "music production" headset, it was rather disappointing. If you want it just for sound, I would easily give it 10/10.

My daughter loves this headset! We did have to return the first headset because after one use it would not power up again. We haven’t had any issues from the replacement. I would definitely recommend getting this one.

[Employee of bestbuy] I like many others had the previous version of this headset which was wonderful. This one is a huge step backwards for the same 'series'. Has major problems connecting and staying connected, mic is of poor quality and doesn't even come with a wind screen, sound quality is okay. There are many better ones out there. I would stay away from this
